  • People will often complain about getting bored of games. But in the case of sandbox games where you can do virtually anything, I have to wonder how you can get bored of it. That's what I talk about in this video.

to me, Minecraft is a "you get what you put into it" sort of thing

The game was designed to build creativity and create friends and build a community

I actually prefer Minecraft solo, and only play this way. But that's because it's my play-to-chill game - and I love keeping things natural looking etc. I don't want someone's pesky huts in my greenery views!
But that's also the great thing about Minecraft - it allows just that, while also allowing others to play different ways.

I love the variation that Minecraft allows, as a mod developer it’s allowed me to be creative and not just with building but with all aspects the fact I can turn minecraft into any game…it’s why I’ve been playing for 15 years and will probably play for another 15 I’m 21 now which means I’ve been playing since I was 6…you’re totally right if you’re bored it’s ur own fault

@@Nate-bd8fg I’m doing an internal rework on all my mods, not happy with its current state so I’ve been remaking them all from the ground up, which has been a lot harder than it sounds, also had recently moved so still setting up internet. I apologise for the lack of updates, they are planned and coming for all of them plus a few new ones will also release this year

I just need to find someone to play with. I've tried servers but they always already "beaten" the game and have towns built. I never can find one that's just starting out. Because I enjoy building towns in Minecraft. Beating the Ender dragon is just a task towards me getting an elitra and new building blocks. Along with my favorite light source. The elitra just helps me find hoglin bases in the nether to get netherite. Because I'm not mining for netherite. Also I'm someone who loves to just take fall damage.

i have had some trouble enjoying Minecraft but i started up a new hard world and my goal is to make everything underground. my house underground and all the farms. so that i can be reliant only underground and its quite fun so far. my goal is to get to the point where i dont need to go to the surface unless im looking for treasures or structures like the stronghold or villages for villagers. minecraft is just up to you. what i say to people who are bored of it is to make a challenge for yourself. trying to live in the nether only is a pretty hard but fun challenge i recommend

i have been a player of this game since it was first launched and played on a website with flailing arms over 15 yrs ago. and i have had gaps in between then and now. But you are right, i noticed that when i was down in life i didnt want to play my world, and when i was happy or peaceful in my life i "found" new things to do. its why i will always have a special place in my heart for this game, it gives you a perspective into your mind and lets you realize where to work on yourself.

This kinda extends to other games too (I see a lot of it with online games of all sorts). I always say I don't envy game devs - players will binge and rush the game, and then complain that there's not enough to do and devs don't push new content every week or two.
Worse yet, they tend to mock people who actually take their time playing the game. I've been target of such mocking too. But guess what - I still enjoy the games that they complain about. Because I didn't rush. I did things my way.
Gamers (as a generalization) are extremely painful to deal with.

I wish I could show this to everyone that told me they "ran out of things to do", the people that treat the game like its about getting the best armor and killing the dragon. I have played this game for about 9 years, made many many worlds, and never once beat the dragon on them, because the game isnt about that, what i did on those worlds was building mining figuring out what a comparetor does because thats what the game's about.
Something i like to do whenever im bored is hop on my superflat world and build, it only has 7 or 8 builds, because whenever i finish building inspiration hits me and i go back with alot of new things to do, almost too many, and thats the point.
Like you said the game isnt boring, the player is boring. the games limit is your imagination, and you, my friend that got bored in 2 hours, have 0 of it...

What if people are tired or bored of mining and building? Is that their problem too? Or is the game just repetitive after a while, just like everything else?

If vanilla is boring for someone, try playing with mods.
    This is the way.

Yes. Yeeaars ago I was getting frustrated with a best friend that started a world with me and after a month he stopped joining and when I asked ‘Why?’ He said well I stand there and I dont know what to do…….And I realized if your ever in a minecraft world and you dont know what to do then somethings wrong with you. There are millions of things to figure out but yes it takes critical thinking so its not easy……..Thats why I Love it….

honestly if you're bored of minecraft even with mods it's probably time to get a job. Or you do it like me learn how to program and implement mods yourself...
