- In this eye-opening talk, a father recounts how one small but bold ask made by his father over 30 years ago not only resulted in a deeper connection with his own daughter, but set them both on a path to seemingly impossible adventures. This heartwarming lesson into the importance of putting action behind children’s curiosities is sure to inspire not only parents, but anyone who needs their faith in humanity restored.
Ed Goyette, founder of “Yours for the Asking” and father of three, is a lifelong entrepreneur focused on helping parents strengthen their relationship with their children through a project called “Yours for the Asking” - an engaging program that helps parents put action against their child’s curiosities through the art of asking. He is married and the proud father of three who are a continuous source of inspiration.

Oh Ed, this really brings me back . . . tattered memories from a wonderful childhood, and years later to tattered memories of a tattered parenthood.
What a great Dad you are, and what a beautiful, imaginative living example you share. Thank you for this.
Thank you so much
WOW! This gave me chills! I am excited to share this w/ my boys AND to keep an open heart and ears for those magic phrases, "I hope" and "I wish"! Cheers to you Ed! Thank YOU!
So inspirational and a concept more of us parents could use to create better relationships that support our children. We have to be the role models but too often we didn't have the support we needed growing up, and this talk gives us such a simple way to be that, not just for our kids but for the community as well. Thank you friend. Brilliant.
