That single performance deserved an Emmy...
Facts🙏
exactly
True. Crawly stole the show in this scene.
For who ?
He's Lewis black, he's a comedian, usually makes jokes about politics, and goes on pure rage rants
He just acted in one guest appearance and outshined the entire cast in that episode. That's how good an actor he is.
Stand up comedian, Lewis Black!
Hmmmmm. Interesting
“ladybugs must render you catatonic” XDDD I died
And yet, here you are still alive to annoy us. Lol
On god
“So when I tell you that’s a common field cricket, YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE DAMN BANK, ‘CAUSE GOD KNOWS I CAN’T! *THAT TRAMP TOOK ME FOR EVERYTHING!”* 😂😂😂
Yes, indeed. Crawley has had it rough.

Lewis Black not only stole the show, he drove off with it in his car and ran it over a mountain and off a cliff. This scene literally makes you forget that there are other characters in it because Lewis Black is just so good at what he does.
I. Thorberg That's what I mean.
I forgot the others were there b/c all I could see were his hands flying around. Only thing I enjoyed about him was his laugh.
One of the few guys that can make Sheldon admit he’s wrong 😅😂
2:18
"And we're not talking Oxnard, at the beach! NO! We're talking Oxnard, in the onion fields!"
I laugh my ass off at that most of all.
I live there😂😂
Sensational line
@@AA-oe2ut at the beach, or by the onion fields?
Are there onion fields in Oxnard? I haven't been there in 38 years
The signature Lewis Black finger pointing doubles the fun and is so fantastic 😆
I like that the other scientist was an ornithologist (a studier of birds). Since birds eat insects, it's like she was "moving up the food chain", as it were.
Like one of those motor overtaking parasites, good catch.
Ahhhh clever!
And a two-bit ornithologist at that!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!
"Are they planning to outsource my job to Bangalore"
"I'm from Delhi"
😂😂

I'm from Bangalore
@@kannadiga_0225 and Raj's from New Dehli.
LOL!
That's anger from Inside Out.
You can see why they casted him for the role
The audience clapped when George Takei, Bob Newhart, Stan Lee, Charlie Sheen, and Levar Burton appeared on the show. These guys were legends. So WHY didn't anyone clap when Lewis Black appeared?
Not everyone knows Lewis Black. He's not big on the screen. Only in his stand up. But, I would recognize his voice anytime!
He was in Inside Out. That should count for something.
Yes, but _Inside Out_ wasn't a thing yet when this episode aired.
I suspect part of the reason his character doesn't get cheering from the audience is because in his comedy, he basically uses profanity _as substitutes for commas._
That ladybug line almost killed me!
BAZINGA
me too, so funny 🤣
@@michalm2279 You are not funny
@@michalm2279 So you speak aloud to yourself and then laugh about it.
Weird
@@michalm2279 Yeah, that's a pretty solid indication that you're not funny.
Lewis Black was WAY TOO perfect for his part. He played that nicely
"...who likes to wear boot cut jeans" LMFAO. His tone and movements have me in tears!
"Toby? Stupid name for a Cricket" lmfao
Told you
My coworker named a caterpillar Henry
Chucky named his caterpillar Melville in that old ass episode of Rugrats. Lol
When we dissected frogs in seventh grade, my group and I named our frog cadaver Fuzz.
More like a stupid name for a spider.
And we're not talking Oxnard at the beach! NO! We're talking Oxnard in the onion fields!
Thanks for reiterating.
A great rant. Possibly one of the best scenes in the series.
I am sure the days he will spend crying won't be from the onions.
I love it when he says NO
@@youmustcreateachanne
Get over it.
I nearly peed myself when Raj screamed a bit, held his mouth and said don't do that!! 😂
Now I know why Lewis Black was cast as Anger in Inside Out
+Jake Maringoni Congratulations, San Francisco! You ruined pizza! First the Hawaiians, and now YOU!
Curtis Stokman Let me show you something. See that? That’s a Crawley’s dung beetle. I discovered it after spending six months slogging through a Bornean rain forest, while my wife was back home shacking up with a two-bit ornithologist who lives on a sailboat and likes to wear boot-cut jeans! So, when I tell you that that’s a common field cricket, you can take that to the damn bank! Cause God knows I can’t. That tramp took me for everything!
Jake Maringoni
Lewis Black:Let me ask you one first. What's a world-renowned entomologist with a doctorate and 20 years of experience to do with his life when the university cuts off the funding for his lab, huh?
Raj: Ask rhetorical questions that make people uncomfortable?
Lewis Black:hehehehehehe. What's your deal?! Are they planning to outsource my job to Bangalore?
Raj: I'm from New Delhi. Maybe we should find another entomologist.
Sheldon: No no, we're here. Let's settle this Professor Crawley, can you identify our cricket?
Lewis Black: Of course I can. I can identify every insect and arachnid on the planet. Not that that's going to keep me from having to move in with my daughter in Oxnard, and we're not talking Oxnard, at the beach! NO! We're talking Oxnard, IN THE ONION FIELDS!!!!!!!!!
Please tell me you copy pasted that.
He needs to stick with voice over work.
I remember i first saw this episode on a transatlantic flight, when i watched that scene i couldnt breathe from laughing, people thought i was going insane 😂😂
This is one of the funniest scenes of BBT I have seen. Have you ever laughed so hard, you couldn't breath? I have the same reaction every time I see this scene with Dr Crawley.
This is my favorite along with the scene where Leanard does a video chat with Priya
I have the same reaction when Sheldon's in the ball pit.
Miss Agent E...Oh yes, I forgot that one!
My favorite all time scene for this. I watch it every week or when I need cheering up
"Who Likes to Wear BOOT CUT Jeans!" I don't know why but the way he says that line always makes me crack up
It’s genius comedic acting, thats why
"That tramp took me for everything!!!!"
It was at that point, Sheldon realized he should have asked another entomologist lol
@@tsipher Still would have been wrong hahaha
Raj's comment at the end "enjoy Oxnard" hahah yeah he is going to enjoy that.
Lady Bugs must render you catatonic 😂😂😂😂
3:25 best moment in video
Yes, only because of the actor. Great skills.
This guy absolutely killed it lmao.
They should have found some way to have his character in at least one more episode. This certainly is one of my all time favorites because of Lewis Black.
Best. Cameo. Ever.
Bob Newhart was also awesome
BPG Productions
Agree. One of the best episodes in the series.
"godless laser machine"
:'D
My favourite part 😂
@Ricardo-gd8wc can’t believe you replied to an old comment. Than you
His energy overwhelms the regular cast as if they were still in season 1.
Dung beetles are quite amazing. They are the strongest animal on the planet proportional to their size, capable of lifting over 1000 times their own weight. That would be like a human lifting a small building and tossing it over their shoulder.
I'm an Aussie with no idea where Oxnard is or what the onion fields are but the way he says it makes me piss myself laughing
Oxnard, California. It’s not too far from Hollywood.
Its worlds away from Hollywood.
Dudes laugh at 1:55😂😂😂😂
I love him dearly, but, I'm so afraid he's going to stroke out during a performance. 😫
Hope they didn't have to do too many takes
When he says "That tramp took me for everything" I die laughing every single time. One of my favorite scenes from the show.
This is one of the funniest scenes to one of the funniest shows ever. I can't help laughing every time I look at it. Yes, I saved it to my playlist😄
Amazing! I can see why they decided to cast him as Anger in Inside Out! XD
Lewis is the God of rage and anger
Funny, almost a year ago, he played Anger in Inside Out.
+Anna Fowdy (Lady Lisa) Yea, I know. The characters in Inside Out are actually Joy, Fear, Disgust, Sadness and Lewis Black
@@anchy1995sadness was also phyllis vance from the office
Great performance by the actor playing the entomologist. Too good.
I like how not one single scientific fact was said about that cricket and Sheldon had to admit he was wrong
2:18 I can’t stop laughing
Oxnard in the ONION FIELDS 🧅
That guest actor really gave his all in that one scene 🤣
I've wanted him back in the show ever since...
Me to
He’s busy in Oxnard
@@Rorschach003 And we're not talking Oxnard at the beach! NO! We're talking Oxnard in the onion fields!
Lewis Black, is priceless in this!! :o)
This man took command of the scene with such enthusiasm his character should’ve been written into the show
I agree. I was literally offended when no one clapped for him. Not even a whistle or anything. I'm a big fan of his work.
What are they telling the audience to do?
One of the funniest scenes in all of The Big Bang Theory. Me and dad crack up so much when this comes on; so so funny. 🤣
That 'who wants to know' always kills me, probably my favourite scene in the whole show tbh
While my wife was back home shacking up with a two bit ornithologist who lives on a sailboat and likes to wear boot cut jeans!
I could watch a whole show with Dr Crawley.
This is my favorite scene from the big bang theory!
Whenever I picture a 'mad scientist,' I always imagine someone like Lewis Black xD.
Eh he he ha!... "What's your deal!!??.. ARE they planning to outsource my job to BANGALORE!!??? 😂😂😂
King Shaheem Isn't this racist?
+santhosh4567
What would make it racist?? 😕
@santhosh4567 - Grow up. He was asking a sarcastic rhetorical question because Raj annoyed him. If it was the other way round, you wouldn't be crying about racist overtones.
"I'm from New Delhi..."
Words leading expert on the dung beetle and moving to Oxnard in the onion fields. Only Lewis Black could make that funny.
WHEN I SAY THATS A COMMON FIELD CRICKET!
YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!
LMFAO funny af
YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE DAMN BANK BECAUSE GOD KNOWS I CAN'T! THAT TRAMP TOOK ME FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I can identify every insect on the planet"--- a very bold claim for an Entomologist to make.... He must be a genius among genius who is comparable to deities which are omnipotent....
And yet they are cutting his funding, you'd think he'd be more appreciated. In any case it's not impossible, when one dedicates a lifetime to something the way he has you'd be surprised how much knowledge you accumulate.
Please bring Crawley back.
For the first time Sheldon accepting defeat!
0:32 Raj's Scream like Michael Jackson
"That TRAMP took me for everything!"
Ain't love grand. A better argument for a well-developed fantasy life I've never heard.
how often you hear Sheldon saying '' im wrong'' lol
omg! I live in oxnard and i totally know about the onion part >.
this is one of my favorite scenes in the show )) Lewis Black
I think the days he will spend crying won't be from the onions.
He's like an older, angrier version of Sheldon 😂
0:47 sheldon being savage 😂
1:07 I can't believe he voiced anger from inside out.
This scene is funnier than all of Seinfeld.
Dat laugh at 1:54
"Godless Laser machines"
I like how they casted Lewis Black to play as "Lewis Black if he was a dude on TBBT"
No wonder he was casted as Anger in Inside Out 😂
*"DON'T. DO. DAT."*
We heard.
I worked with the world's leading dung beetle coleopterist. He's German and has a cute accent named Dr. Frank Krell.
Aaron Spriggs The entomologist's name is Frank Krell. His accent doesn't have a name.
I live in Bangalore!!
Raj's scream x8DD
this is perfect! he played the part of the frustrated angry scientist, so well!
I seriously STILL crack up whenever I hear bootcut jeans thinking about this.
Lewis Black was perfect
Re: The Oscars and Emmy Awards.
There should be...an award for...
"Best Cameo Performance"
That lab looks very cool
the boot cut jeans part is my favourite 😂
The most amazing thing about this scene was Black was able to control his overloaded mouth.
Man I needed him to catalog some bugs. He could even build a lab where I live.
When he yells he sounds like Vince McMahon
I hate that i found this just by BBT Cricket fight... but love it at the same time because of the scientist they asked about the cricket is the voice of Ricky Owens/Mr E in Scooby-Doo Mystery Incoporated.
And this my friends, is why you should always avoid becoming over educated, it might pay off, but if it doesn't you end up having a lot of information on something that is no longer economically viable.
Best scene of the series.
DONT DO DAT 😂😂
I saw Lewis Black live a couple weeks ago
Aww, the lil' critters are so cute
Good god! That was hilarious!!! They shoul have make him a regular
When I found out he voiced "anger" in Inside Out this scene became even better to me
My mother is from California, and she explained to me when I first saw this scene that Oxnard is in the boondock.
No. It's not. Oxnard is a beautiful little coastal town, with great beaches, mountain views and lots of happy people!
Maye not the boondocks. But. It is rocket town cause you need to strap a rocket on your car if you want to get there in a decent time.
"Shacking up with a two bit ornithologist..." - hilarious.
Bruh, he sounds like john sturgis from young sheldon
I love this show, but this scene with Lewis Black is one of my absolute favorites.
Enjoy Oxnard😂😂
I would do this exact thing if a cricket was stuck in my room out of pure wonder not boredom. They are so relatable, i miss episodes like this.
