Yes, you do have to suspend your disbelief when watching sit coms...or any TV show. I suppose you could argue that Sheldon is a one in a million level of genius and has a lot to offer the university. He did eventually win a Nobel prize after all.

Honestly, they are all brilliant scientists, atop their respective fields. I'm sure they would have been dealt with strictly, but the University would not have taken away their jobs. Had they been called in to Human Resources, Sheldon would have explained what Kripke had done to sabotage him on the radio, with Raj, Howard and Leonard being witnesses. He would have pointed out that this was revenge for what happened to him. This would have landed Kripke in hot water as well for sabotaging another employee of the University in public and hence giving the University a bad name with the listeners. I'm guessing they would have all been reprimanded and taken to task in some sort, but would have been allowed to keep their jobs.
When I first saw this scene I thought the yellow foam was CGI but I was pleasantly surprised to find out its a real thing called elephant toothpaste which can be created with common chemicals.
I love Sheldon's and kripkes rivalry reminds me of dexter and mandark they even try to be friends. I think they could of made it work if Sheldon didn't have other motives
