    On Moto Control channel you will find videos about motorcycles, motorcycle riding techniques, tips & tricks and online motorcycle training for beginner and advanced riders!
    A little info about me. My name is Andrei Bodrov, originally I'm from Moscow, Russia, and now I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back in Moscow I was a motorcycle instructor and creator of Moto Control Beginner & Advanced motorcycle rider courses, which quickly became the most popular courses in Moscow (well, at least the advanced one😁). My advanced training course makes emphasis on slow speed riding techniques at first (such as good clutch and throttle control, proper riding posture, proper use of vision, etc.), then proceeds to more advanced techniques (such as aggressive braking, trail braking, maximal lean angle). The course incorporates a lot of exercises from DOSAF slow speed riding (similar to police rodeo like motorcycle training in USA), braking and cornering exercises and motogymkhana style riding. And now, since I actively learn English - I decided to post some useful videos for both your and mine practice!😉
    🏍️🏍️🏍️
    Since everyone writes this, it's necessary, I suppose 🤷, so here we go. Disclaimer: Ride at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety. Me, Andrey Bodrov and my channel, Moto Control disclaim any liability incurred in connection with the use of riding techniques from this channel. Use common sense, wear full protective gear and ride in a safe and predictable manner!

    I returned to riding 2 years ago after long lay off and have watched and learned a lot from very good videos from Moto Jitsu , MC Rider etc. I recently came across your channel and rate it VERY highly and think it is very underrated - you are very talented and explain really well and deserve many more subscribers - accent no problem ! Looking forward to more great content and tips - wish you well.

    This happened to me two times in a day. I thought it was due to fact I had to stop at the end of an uphill road, the first time, and then because I was stopping in a downhill parking the second time. Actually I learned here it can also happen on plain roads, probably every time you try to stop the bike while cornering at very low speed. Very useful hint. Thanks!

    Never dropped a big bike. Only been riding 40 years,if you have no choice but to grab the front brake you just have to know it will try to drop in, stop the bars from turning with everything you have for the best chance of saving it.

    Excellent illustration of the problem and powerful showing of the solution.
    One suggestion, about the "Release of Clutch a little", this is one of the most important concept.
    Could this be further elaborated as this is so important to emphasise?
    I missed this key point and released the clutch to biting point too much and the bike stalled ( my mistake of course)
    So stressing on this point and also explaining if not done correctly then what could go wrong will help!

  • @LIFELOVER715
    @LIFELOVER715 2 роки тому +1

    The bike is much less likely to drop and will better respond to a foot assist if the front wheel is straight. That automatically reduces lean angle as well. It also helps to be in the lowest gear possible so that throttle control can be effective.

    I do this almost every time my bike starts to fall over but generally I'm trying to stop already but then it starts to lean over and then for some stupid reason even thou I try not to I end up grabbing the brake even harder I think it's to try to grab the handle bar to pull back up but instead I grab the brake more

    I notice that when u move from the stop position and go you lean your body forward when accelerating. Is this to counter the pull of the bike or to stay balanced on it?

    • @MotoControlEn
      @MotoControlEn  2 роки тому +3

      It's a habit, I usually do it to counter the pull of the bike, so I can have my arms bent and relaxed the whole time.

    All this apply at situations that you dont got anything in front of you blocking your way right?
    But if you are in a stiff narrow turn and you feel that you are dropping the motorcycle and have little to no space/option to go straight without causing accident what can you do?
    I mean, for example at 0:30 the rider is at a spot that if he accelerated he'd hit the car in front of him, at 1:00 if the rider accelerated he'd be in the road/traffic.
    (Of course in both cases I exclude the fact that the riders could avoid the fall if they predicted their safe position or had stop earlier or had turned in wider angle than trying stiff narrow turn).

    • @MotoControlEn
      @MotoControlEn  Рік тому +2

      Very good question! From my long and boring explanation, it may seem like you'll need a lot of space in front of you to accelerate, make your bike upright and then brake. But it's just an illusion, it's just because of long explanation. In reality, once you master all the stuff from video, you'll find out that in fact you don't need a lot of space. The whole process will take maybe 30-40cm, something like that.

    • @francislutz8027
      @francislutz8027 Рік тому

      He's right. Once you are able to balance the bike without moving by dragging the rear brake and using the friction zone you only need a foot or two to snap the handlebars in a safe direction and release the clutch fully to ride away from danger

    I know you’re now in Argentina, but do you have a motorbike test in Russia? I’m in the UK and we have several on rod tests, depending on the bike power output you want to ride. My impression of the US is in many states it’s just a play in a car park and then you’re allowed to go on the road. Is that true, anyone? It’d be interesting to see what different governments do to prevent road deaths. (Russia is second highest in the world per thousand vehicles, India is number one!)

    • @FatherOBlivion
      @FatherOBlivion 10 місяців тому

      5 month late response... In the US states I'm familiar with, it's not even a "car park" test to get started. Only a written test for MC permit, then you can ride with restrictions such as no passenger, not after dark, etc, but there are no bike/power limits. 18 YO could start on a Turbo 'Busa day 1. Full license requires a simple road test.

    • @albertol1529
      @albertol1529 10 місяців тому

      @@FatherOBlivion thanks, it’s always seemed like that from the videos I’ve watched on US riders. It’s not just the rider cam videos either! It’s the instructional ones where videos are made on topics where in the UK and Europe you’d not get a licence unless you could show competence.
      There was one in particular that showed in my feed (!!!) with a thumbnail showing what could only be described as a gentle deviation in the road, rather than a bend. It was entitled “riders, don’t make this mistake here”! Then there’s the clown who posts videos with a car tyre on the back of his BMW K1600GT saying he’s “sticking it to the man” because motorbike tyres are so expensive. This is the moronic sort of behaviour that endangers everyone on the road not just that tight @rse who prefers to risk his life than pay even for a cheap bike tyre…..pathetic!
