What I get from your video is ride your bike instead of being driven by your bike, and learn this by doing really slow exercises. Great advice, thx for your helpful advice 👍
Thanks. I like this a lot. Realistically I am probably never going to put cones down because I don't really have anywhere I can do that. People would tell me to leave. Normally I just do figure-8's and circles, but this video gives me some new ideas.
Say MC, That all sounds good but in my neck of the woods, Coarsegold, Calif. a rural foothill community, there are no large empty parking lots available close at hand. Fortunately I rode many years ago as did a neighbor so we are fairly familiar with the basics but having a decent size empty parking lot handy to practice would be great but none are available !
WOW! Everything you did in this video is what I do almost every time I practice slow riding - which is a lot. I love this kind of practice and it helps so much with road riding confidence and safety.
Great to see you flicking your bike from left to right so effortlessly and getting your u-turn within two car spaces! I ride the same bike but I'm doing well to get it to two and half spaces!
"...there is nothing interesting there." - the way that you say it makes me laugh out loud!!! It reminds me of the character, Edna Mode in the movie "The Incredibles". This a a very good tutorial - thanks.
Thank you very much for this video. I've recently passed my CBT and need some drill to build up my confidence and riding ability. I'll do these daily for a few weeks and let you know how it goes.👌
Great contents and the simplest explanation as usual man; no pointless talk or long videos just on point 👏👏👏 One question tho; counter balancing or leaning through the turn, which is better on which situation; I'm a bit confused tho, can you help? 🥺
Thanks for this wonderful video! I am a new rider. Can I have a simple question? For those slow speed practices, which gear do you use? 1st or 2nd. tks.
HOLA AMIGO..HOW ARE SIR..I AM ALWAYS WITH YOU,YOU SMILE AND LOVE KEEP ME FLYING..YOU ARE LOVING MAN WITH PASSION TO CARE,SHARE AND MAKE OTHERS JOYFUL..THANK AGIN
Thanks for the great videos. As a newer rider I had a question regarding looking as far ahead as possible when cornering: doesn't this prevent you from noticing any sand/gravel/oil that could be much closer?
I will make a video specifically about vision soon, there will be an answer to this question! But the short answer is that you don't just snap your vision to the horizon, you have to scan the whole area ahead of you. There is a lot of going on with your main and peripheral vision, it's a bit too long to write, so I'll explain it in a video soon!
I'm not the teacher, so take it for what it is, but my understanding is it's basically all about scanning. One should look as far ahead as possible, and that should be your main input for spotting upcoming obstacles, but one should also be scanning forward and back as needed to maintain your lane position and track the obstacles as they become closer (as well as spotting those you've missed.) It gets way easier with practice, and over time you'll get WAY better at spotting gravel and such before you are right up on it.
@@TravisTerrell sounds to me that the experience is much like "actively reading" the road instead of keeping a static gaze... perhaps akin to active footwork in tennis, the eyes have to keep moving while riding.

A. question occurs to me whenever I see a rider such as yourself with obvious riding skill is how often [if ever] have you dropped your bike when originally practicing these skills? I have had several years out of riding and recently got back into motorcycling and bought a new bike. I am really rusty and am in desperate need of practice, however I am conscious that I'm concerned about dropping my bike while practicing tight circles etc.

Awesome, this is really helpful! I can't always be bothered to lay out cones so it's helpful to see a session that doesn't need any

GREAT experience, it's very important information and sincere advice to practice for control, consistency and balancing HEAVY V-STROM Bikes
Thank you. This is exactly what I love to do because I have ZERO practice equipments except my bike. Haha
It’s time for me to go and practice. Thank you, stay safe!

how are you supposed to use counter steering in a figure 8? Aren't you already at full lock when you want to change direction?
Hello sir, when turning on figure of eight what gear is necessary
Thanks for this great video. Just a simple question. Can u do low speed manouvres only by using throttle and clutch?
Yes, you can!
@@MotoControlEn thanks! if it is ok with you, can you make one short video showing it? Thanks again.

Why should you shift your weight forward when accelerating and back when stopping vs remaining 'neutral'?
It's done to counter acceleration forces, and to help distribute weight between front and rear wheel more equally.
The Motogymkhana guys don't used any clutch at all. Once you are moving get off the clutch completely and just use throttle and rear brake.
I hit 1K button....!!!!!

I like your channel, but why do you sketch a female's internal anatomy near the start of your videos? I'm not complaining; just curious.
Are you referring to the dash, mirrors handlebars and headlight sketch?
Oi, you confused me with Delboy's garage!🤣🤣 I don't know man, you're the first so far who thought that's a female anatomy🤷
Rorschach effect 🤤 Lol.
@@andrechagas4549 Yes. The thing is I'm usually not very good in that region. I'm surprised so few lesbians haven't pointed that out.
