try an external headphone amp with the same IEMs, it will fix the impedance matching issue & the sound will blow you away. alternatively you can use higher impedance headphones / iems.

FYI the iems, he has are kz zsn I think, I recommend getting moondrop chu 2 iem earphones instead. The moondrops are better quality and better sounding.
P.s. Kz also antagonized quite a few members of the audiophile community so I stopped buying from them.

sorry but those iems dont go very well with the ipod. the impedance is slightly too low and will make the sound worse. cool ipod tho :)
