  • In this clip I am specifically working on what was taught to me as the third and fourth stages of firing from the holster. Marrying your hands together to perform a proper grip, acquiring your sights and placing them on the target for a flash picture.
A lot of officers at the range try to take the perfect shot... Especially at the 25-yard line... but that's not what's going to happen under stress and under fire.
It doesn't matter if you're able to put five bullets in the same hole if you can't do it under stress.
In this video I'm slightly more than 20 meters distance firing at a 5-in steel plate as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Steel provides instant feedback which prevents the student from looking over the sites at the target and disrupting the site picture/site alignment. It also removes the need or the desire to put all the rounds close to each other because all you actually care about is that the steel provides that auditory feedback for you.
Using a firearm comes with a lot of responsibility. Whether you are using it to defend your home, defend the public, or shoot a movie.
This responsibility extends to everybody. From the poor police officer making $32,000 a year out of the academy to the famous celebrity making "slightly" more. 💔
P.S. I'm far from a Tier 1 player. I'm a slightly above average firearms professional and teacher with a long life of mistakes still waiting for me. Most of what I teach is a reshuffeling of lessons of learned from people far greater than I am. Always Learning. Always Growing.
