Body and head movement ... I find it is distracted if too much head , hands , and other body part movement (I mean too much movement .... movement is good to show the sign of interactive, but too much ... no !)
I use window light too. Thank you for sharing these tips!
Thank you for this link! The Think Tank... always coming through with some insanely helpful advice!! Love you guys!
@@GhazaliAziz Absolutely agree! Too much movement can often times take away from what the person is saying. The camera loves your eyes, so use them!
My tip would be to "clear the clutter." You need to have a background that doesn't distract your viewers and also compliments your topic.
Man!! The way Madeline looks at him every time is just “aww” thing! I hope you guys keep loving each other always! Great couple
Definitely!!!🥰 thank you
I totally agree with you! The way she looks at him is indeed adorable! 😀
He is handsome and smart too so who would not be looking on a husband like that all the time. Lol:-) If you don't look other women will look:-)
Its still a dream for many guys
I know right and yea
Our family’s pro tip is...your going to hate seeing/hearing yourself right at first. Everyone does! Take the advice of this video and push through. Keep making new content and you will get better on camera. Keep lighting and smiling and you will be looking good 👁 👁 in no time!!! ✅✅✅
I absolutely hate hearing myself still but I am starting to change that mentality
so true!! Thank you☺️
My problem is trying to vlog. I can't walk around all day with a camera pointed at myself and talking to it. I get so paranoid and self-conscious.
MuahMan I tried setting up my camera at home and talking to it during everyday task. Then I tried when we were in public but away from people. Now I just talk and move and try not to stand out too much. 😂
I use to record and then delete my videos instantly 😂, now I learned how to ignore bad voice 🤣
Man this channel can do anything just to help new UA-camrs who are just beginning
Your channel is amazing 😍
We agree
1. focus on soft lighting (natural or softbox) NO DIRECT SUNLIGHT
2. before hitting record, get a close look at yourself for food in teeth, wrinkled collar, etc
3. choose the right clothing (STAY AWAY from busy patterns or white. Your "look" should match your content.
4. SMILE! - positive vibes
5. place camera at EYE LEVEL
BONUS: look in the lens, not the flip screen!
Thanks a lot
Marry someone who looks at you.... like how Madeline does at him. That's so lovely. ❤️
Thank you Think Media for having me🤗💕 I hoped this video helped you!!!!
Thanks for coming on and sharing your amazing tips 🙌🏻
I honestly struggle with the eye contact part. I tend to look around when I talk😂😂😂😂
Don’t sweat it. You’re being real. As opposed to the usual media trained personalities.
Maloneys Digest thanks hahaha
I personally think that’s the hardest part too... it’s so awkward at first😆
It's just not usually on my mind to maintain eye contact during my speech
Elysium Rod true i feel that
The chemistry is so beautiful in this lol.. that’s really the best part 💛💛💛
That’s too sweet, thank you☺️
Madeline Molt you’re welcome!! ☺️☺️
This is the First time seeing Nolan so Happy (i didnt mean he was not happy before, but this time its a bit MOREEEEEE HAPPINESS) this couple really brought a smile on my face too
PINK! Everyone looks great in pink; it brings out all the pinks in EVERY skin tone! 😊
Tip 1-5: Look good. Done.
haha
Whoa when you guys were asking for our problems and for video suggestions, I said I had trouble looking good on camera and here is the video, that's awesome!! Thank you so much, this was super helpful, love it!
Awesome, glad we answered that question for you!
I just lost my job because of the pandemic, so I started a UA-cam channel about Meditation. Wish me luck!!!
Good luck
Definitely relying on that afternoon sunlight for the moment! It gives you a sense of urgency too to get everything filmed before it changes 😬
I feel ya girl🙋🏼♀️
@@MadelineMolt Haha right!!!
Love these tips, I ALWAYS forget to SMILE when I am on camera!!!
Hello! If you're reading this I just want to remind you that you can be all that you want to be.
Keep dreaming and reach out to your dreams🧡
Thank you a lot!!!
❤️
I just uploaded my first UA-cam video! So nerve wracking! But so addicting and fun! I can't wait to upload another!
Keep going, don't give up
@@FusionSource thank you so much!!💚
Keep it up.
@@FusionSource Agree.
Keep it up! I am subscribing to your channel to make sure you stay consistent with it!
Love yoir purple backround with the puple and the tiny yellow light
Thank you!
Forget those tips, i am just thinking how attractive and cute a couple can be 😍.
YOU TWO LOOK GREAT TOGETHER ❤️
Thanks for the great advice! I'm learning more and more that the general public has a different opinion than me on smiles. I don't know, I just feel like someone is trying to manipulate me when they are smiling. Maybe not always, but there is definitely a fine line I feel people should walk.
I liked the tip about shooting midday, but what if you work during the day? What’s the second best time?
I’d recommend saving up for some lights, then it doesn’t matter when you’re filming😊 I know Think Media has a lot of videos on lighting if you search for them!
The chemistry between these two is so amazing! What a beautiful couple😊🙏
Thanks for the tips! I see a few things I need to work on👊
Thank you so much🥰
Looking into the lens is definitely the hardest part to me😂 GREAT VID!!❤️
Awesome video! Such good advice. I have had the issue so many times where there was something weird going on - like a hair over part of my face. And, luckily I usually have other shots to use but you really need to check yourself before recording - and I often don't do this enough and regret it. For the colors of clothing - I think this is really important! I am really quite pale and I noticed if I wear light colors, I don't look so good. In real life I do not like wearing black or dark colors but in my videos it really seems to positively impact the lighting and how my skin looks, especially when my background is really light.
That’s all great advise! Thank you for adding on☺️
@@MadelineMolt thanks so much Madeline! You two were so helpful in the video!
All of those are really good tips. Only have one to add that goes along with smiling. Your energy when recording goes a long way. Don’t over do it and come off as fake, but you look far better when you’re excited to be filming.
#ThinkTeam this video has such a different feel! I love how it's not only helpful and concise, but very warm and friendly! Way to bring in some quirky fun and humor Nolan and Madeline!
Thank you🤗
You guys are so cute! 💙 Thanks for the good tips! ☺️
Thank you🥰
Thanks!!
You two are an adorable couple! But with that you also shared some really helpful tips 💙 totally putting these to use on my next videos!
Thank you, that’s very nice🥰
Madeline Ma'am, your tips really helped me for lighting properly. Great to see further from you as well. Nolan sir has taught me so much that I am speechless. Thank you.
Great ideas! Also I’d be interested in learning how you light your backgrounds Nolan! They look supercool!
Husband and wife were sooooo cute together in this video!! I loved the humor too :)
Aw thank you🥰
Great advice! The lighting thing has been an issue for me, bright light from windows can be so bright I look 1million years old! The talking into the lense thing has always been a bug bear for me, I hate it when ppl stare at themselves, so distracting to watch! Thanks great info! 💙
thank you Think Media. as a new content creator this is much helpful. been looking for tips to improve my lighting
Check out this video I did on lighting ua-cam.com/video/G6W5wbPqzPw/v-deo.html
I have one tip when I was editing the clips I found it. My parent‘s house curtain is coral color, then the clips are added a little red filter naturally😄 with warm and soft picture feeing. I really like it!
Who else is a fan of Think Media??
Thanks for the advice - will be useful in future. Advice I'd add is to watch out for shadows in the background and to not wear shirts with writing on them unless doing so intentionally - too distracting. If you're the focus of the shot, keep the background as simple as you can. Enjoyed this video. You two clearly adore each other very much.
Aha - the slightly dim color that comes from my cream colored shades is explained. Gotta figure that out next! These tips are super helpful and you're both adorable.
Literally taking notes! I swear this channel is so informative!
Omg your wife is SO STUNNING! Blessings to you guys thanks for the help 🙂
Aw that’s so sweet! Thank you🥰
Madeline welcome 😊
Would love to know how you got that exact lighting in the room, with the background color. Maybe my room is too small for the separation? Im getting nice even lighting, but even if I turn off any other lights besides my two Neewer lights, I still get that light source in the background. If you have any other videos on this, besides your three point lighting one, please share. Thanks! Great vids as always!
Nolan & Madeline, I smiled the whole time I watched this video. You guys are so cute together.. Great on-screen chemistry 😉Shows the love. I am still smiling as I type. Sending my love, hugs and blessings. Keep smiling and keep laughing 🤗❤
These are amazing, realistic tips. Thank you!
Madeline is sooo beautiful ❤️
Thank you😭💛
Sun? Eh? Welcome to the UK 🇬🇧 🤣 😆
Suppose my soft box lights will have to do lmao.
Nice tips guys. Thank you.
Interested recomendation and you are a lovely team.
Take care
Thank you! That’s really the best compliment ☺️
These tips are super helpful for me. Looking at the lens is my struggle since I only using a phone and the lens is super tiny 😍😍😍
You both so much lovely together.🥰 🥰 thanks again for sharing your tips.
Amazing tips! Thanks so much for uploading these, extremely handy! 10/10
I just laughed all through this video. Beautiful couples
Aw thank you🥰
Yay! Thank you!
I need someone that looks at me the way Madeline looks at him!
This was sooo helpful 💕 Who else has used all the great advice to improve your quality of your videos ????
You're already used all the advise they gave within the minute the posted the video?!?
We also take there advise to improve the quality of our video.
They have a playlist go look at that. I think you just want them to respond
SG Artistry ummm I don’t need them to respond to anything I have to say. You saying this is unnecessary I’m not the only one that feels this so thanks for the comment.
Something else I would say is to make sure the background isn't too distracting. You want your audience to focus on you and not what's going on behind you. So keep distracting elements to a minimum as much as possible. Other than that I love all the tips!
I got caught by tip 2 yesterday. Spent a good chunk of a very hot day up in an attic recording cover songs. I got to editing them and my hair was stuck up on one and my t-shirt was twisted on another. So this morning I wrote a check list for before I press record and brought a mirror in to the room. I will not be making that mistake again haha
Thanks ur making me grow faster, please continue creating,
Good tips for the channel !
Great review,
Presenting videos using a Teleprompter and Powerpoint as software, helps a ton to look good and sound natural in front of camera because you always have the whole concept in mind therefore you maintain eye contact with the viewer, and deliver your speech naturally.
Thanks . I just just began a UA-cam channel for my hair styling business. Only now figured out I was filming the wrong way. I should have been filming horizonlaly with my cellphone.
Great video guys! It was fun to see the two of you make this one together, and great tips as usual!
It was definitely fun to film together😊
Thank you soooo much. Will try. My channel will definitely improve from this
Such a useful video, thanks for sharing this guys! Need to invest in a big soft light!
Great tips and reminders. Definitely helped me with making my review videos. I'm still learning and growing the channel. Keep it up everyone.
totally agree on 7:30, smiling on camera really leaves me with a smile after I'm done shooting
Loved this video, thank you so much for sharing. I do have a question. Can you talk about how that you were able to get the background light to look like that? What cause the background to look like that, its super nice!!
Such a cute coupleee! Love the complicity! Thanks for the tips! Now that I’m starting I feel super awkward but learning these tricks will help kick that soon
The lighting is so calming.
I love these two! So gorgeous! And great tips!
Always coming out with killer content!!!! Thank you 💛
Great video, really appreciate it. It's hard to make me look good on camera but hopefully my personality will carry me ;-) Thanks for sharing, cloudy days create a nice soft box as well.
Yes, cloudy days give great lighting outside! Being real and being you is #1. For sure, be authentic and that's the most attractive thing for people!! You got this.
@@nolanmolt Thanks man, really appreciate that
The best thing you can buy for sunlight diffusion is a white shower curtain.I suspect these are made with the very same material used for softboxes. If you have time for that, you can even build one with cardboard, tinfoil and a strong LED source of light.
Thx a lot,,,,,really helpful,,,,, I struggle so much trying to look good.
Hi Nolan and Madeline! This video is amazing, soon I'll start shooting videos in which I show my face and this really helped me.
That’s awesome! Excited for you😊
Awesome, glad to hear it!
Great video thanks for all of your fantastic tips you have so much more in this video than your title suggests I'm very happy that I watched it all the way through!
Damm Helpful,Thank you making this amazing video..Glad I watched 😃😃😃
Guys, forget about the UA-cam thing. I liked your spirit. Keep loving each other 😍
Great advice I’ve been trying to improve my videos will give this a try!
I loved and throughly enjoyed watching this video you shared some wonderful tips I especially enjoyed the ones about wearing certain clothing and what types of clothing to avoid on camera as well as keeping the camera at eye level when filming
Another fantastic video!! Thank you so much!! ❤
Skin tones look perfect in this video, lighting on point!!
Great tips, how cute is Madeline. I'm definitely checking out her channel, I love doing repurposing, thrifting ... TFS have a creative, inspired week. xoxoxo
you’re too sweet, thank you🥰❤️
your wife is adorable! She's great I subscribed. And these tips are counter intuitive, but need to be reminded time to time
Aw thank you, that’s so sweet☺️💕
Thank you!!

oh my gosh you guys are adorable. Loved this!
Haha thank you☺️

Thank you!!I'll have to make a video for it!
I need to find myself someone who look at me just like Madeline look at Nolan! Great video by the way!
Great video with great tips. By the way you guys are an awesome couple
I haven't seen Nolan this happy in a video 😅
Hahaha thank you😆
I love this video. It's been so helpful to me as a new youtuber. Thank you! Just subscribed.
*Thanks for these awesome tips*
*I will start applying them*
All good tips. I’ve been working in this area so these are very relevant and helpful! Thank you ~ Susanne
This was so helpful thank you so much!🙏🏾
It definitely helps to be a good looking as well. You two look great!
Hi Nolan and Madelin,
Thank you for the video, and very helpful tips!
Do you think presenting using a Teleprompter, Would it be a good option to level up video quality, especially talking heads?.
Hi Nolan, new you tuber here and I wanted to start by saying that I love Think Media, and it's my go-to for all youtube tips. I have a Canon M50 and I'm filming 20 minutes workouts and struggling with lights, I have tried different things but nothing seems to work. I feel like my videos come out different color every time. I love all your tips on how to make videos better but I feel like everything is focused on close-ups and not so much whole video. If there is another youtube video with tips on that would you please direct me to it or if not it would be a good idea to create one. Thanks
Great tips, I need to remember them. Also, I seen another vid where the person said to imagine your biggest fan on the other side of the camera lens, the person who always likes your vids and always comments. That should boost your confidence level.
helpful as always... I feel I have great content but don't know how to be in front of the camera...
Having confidence on camera is hard. Check out this video Sean did for some amazing tips!! ua-cam.com/video/UmBsxYO6aBo/v-deo.html
So much value for a noob like me. Thank you.
Thanks for the tips this is awesome! Think Media has inspired me to go ALL IN on youtube and start my channel!! Bigggg think media fan ♥️
Keep pushing, your channel looks good, Don't be discouraged and keep pushing at, your channel looks great. DON'T GIVE UP.
Yes they post very inspiring videos.
@@FusionSource We agree.
Cooking Mansion Thank you so much!! 😭
FusionSource - 3D Printing Thank you so much that means a lot! You too!!! 🤘
How did you guys get the violet color in the background? Which light should I buy?
Just curious what camera did you use in this video? I know you use the 90D some, so not sure
Not sure but I think teal blue looks good on most people!
well this is my first time liking a vedio for such tips , may be it is for the smile of Madeline sis.
