Great videos. I am installing a 12" adjustable but can not find the trim ring for the adjustable section the short piece that attaches to the reel seat. I can find the reel seat link but not the other trim ring. The one you said not to get cockeyed or it will bend. I couldn't find the kit in stock so I am trying to find all the parts. I guess another question would be, can you build the handle without the trim ring? Thanks for the videos and appreciate your time. Ken

Why did you not put an arbor under where the trigger sets? Or are you counting on the connection from the ring to support that section of the handle.

The arbors are for alignment. A solid epoxy connection supports the reel seat.

It’s probably easier on those carbon grips but Cleaning that epoxy paste off of Eva grips is nigh impossible in my experience.
If I am not judicious with taping the edges i pretty much have to wear off the shine once it soaks in haha!
Makes epoxying the winding checks very difficult without leaving a shine around the edges.

Can you save all the components from the broken blank? I so how can you do that?

Guides, tip top, and hook keeper can be saved and reused. Heat the epoxy over the wraps a bit and slice it off with a razor blade.
