Bungie has repeatedly disrepected the core playerbase. Took for granted our time and money repeatdly by removing what we paid for only to reintroduce sunsetted weapons. Removed resources for no good reason. Destroyed sbmm so pvp is like nba vs toddlers. We lost good content for lame ass love stories? Barely play, I load up the game and don't play, switch it off and do something else ... just sad
This is why I left, sat through sunsetting after grinding my butt off for everything. Then vaulting followed by all the lackluster dlcs, they didn't want to over deliver like they did with Forsaken. They didn't. Came back to play witch queen and loved it, then was immediately reminded with the follow up that this is just not for me anymore. I love the franchise as a whole, would 1000% return for a D3. Not until then.
I think Bungie vastly overestimated the intelligence of their core player base. Aside from that, it's being put on the back burner on purpose. They're gearing up for the new IP.
But people kept asking for Destiny 3, which would be a reset for our weapons only to have a bunch adding back in for nostalgia. We've essentially got Destiny 3 at this point, just without the moniker. Destiny 2 is more different now than it was at launch than the delta between Destiny 1 and 2.
Just wanted to say, as a nearly 5000 hour destiny 2 player, day one raider, crucible enjoyer as well, I think your thoughts and conversation about the game is very well thought through and justified. It sucks seeing something that I myself has had through tough times as well, end on this note and it's bittersweet. Nothing really ever felt like destiny PvP to me over the years, and it was always super exhausting every season to see the lack of proper PvP support coming from Bungie. Personally I think after final shape they should have said we are taking a few years off and starting again with D3, seeing it dwindle like this sucks but I've never played a game and met such amazing people over two different countries on any other game. I've been playing a variety of games as well, and there are some gems still but nothing that really sinks it's teeth like destiny did. I'm gonna try out fragpunk, and I'll be coming back for dungeon contest next week and new things, but destiny for me now is "oh there's a new thing? Like a dungeon or raid, I'll come back and play, and then happily play something else". I was in this weird head space limbo around the conclusion of final shape, but playing other games and the time to heal I think has made me less disappointed in destiny's direction, and more humble and grateful of the experiences that destiny created over the years. It was one heck of a run, great video man I appreciate the work 🔥
@ZaysTitan I've played this game for almost 9 years, both on my own account and when I was younger on a friend's. The lack of real innovation is killing this game, and it doesn't matter who's fault it is anymore the fact is people are jumping ship and if Sony wasn't invested in keeping this franchise alive it would already be shelved.
@adarkwind4712 you're 100 correct. I just really like it for what it is and i think others do to. But I can also play super Mario 3 over and over because I like it for what it is. 😁
I am behind you and will support you with whatever you decide to do. I feel the same way about D2 right now. im hoping it gets better and i wish you the best of luck
I'll still say good luck even though you don't need it. Your video making skills are clearly superb to the point that I'm confident you can find success with whatever topic you decide to pursue. I enjoyed your destiny era while it lasted, and I hope you enjoy this next step
Dang, I remember when I first found a video of yours on mask of bakris with a slug shotgun, I got so inspired to try the build and really no other content creator was able to the that cant wait to see whats next in this chapter thank you.
Proud to be one of your 4 bungie friends online at the time of this recording. 🙃 Jokes aside, I’ve loved discovering your channel. As other comments have said, you are clearly talented and have a knack for this. Keep up the content creation in whatever game. I hope to play Fragpunk sometime soon 😊
This is such a real take. destiny as a whole has been on a decline for a while and didn't seem like it was still in its up down type thing. Good luck to whatever games you pursue with your channel in the future :). btw the finals is a pretty good f2p shooter rn.
bro is now one of us i've been waiting on fragpunk for months i been putting people on welcome to the squad of waiters and i pray you get into the coming closed beta of the punk
Subscribed just so I can stay in the loop with what’s good. I’m a destiny vet, and it’s such a bummer to see such an amazing game decline the way it has. I’m curious to see what other games are out there to scratch that itch 😂
I feel you so much. I started recording game play and making videos because I was bored and trying to have fun in pvp again. I do still ultimately want to make one good destiny 2 pvp video but my motivation to play the game is next to zero lately. I heard it’s even more doom and gloom in the content creator discord. Every video you’ve made has been high quality and I’ll definitely check out your Fragpunk content. The game looks really good and everyone still playing destiny is looking for a replacement even harder than they normally are. Hopefully it gets a ps5 release eventually.
Yeah okay. This is the “CoD effect” or what Jev does. Where a game comes out and they hype it up and upload MAYBE 3 videos of it. Then once the views peak they go back to CoD. Or in Iz’s case, D2. Sorry, Iz. See you back on D2 in no time.
Bro, destiny isn’t dead but it is dying and the days of hitting top numbers and players is over look at the new season it didn’t do what everyone expected as in “ow everyone will come back… where’d they go”
hey man, thanks for the past d2 content. your cryosthesia sniper build earned me a flawless and I am a top 90+ % player, i'm no good. good luck with the next endeavor
I'll still hop into D2 content as I feel its still the best looter shooter that allows for some decent theory crafting with builds with perks and artifacts. But man I'm so pumped for FragPunk. Between The Finals and Frag Punk I think I'm pretty set for PvP shooters.
good vid, ive been feeling this way about destiny pvp for a while now. it used to be what carried me through seasons but since everyone on that team went to marathon it's been even more stale than before.
People that make " i quit" videos are doing it for clicks. I'll even say that people that start doing variety has way less to do with destiny as a game but people building their platform on just 1 game. You see that everywhere honestly. Treating one game like its your literal job for years on end will take the enjoyment out of it.
Yea as a D1 vet, bungie had a gold idea, a great community.. and even more. Sadly bungie was lost in the idea of money they could make, and now.. my old favorite stomping ground is dying. Props to you, and good luck on everything in the future!
6:51 The background song is from Honkai Impact 3rd! I don't know if is just coincidence or you are a fan of the game but either way nice to hear it here.
Incredible game, seriously. It absolutely changed my life. Honkai Impact 3rd overshadows Genshin and Star Rail by miles. It's story inspired me in a way I rarely get to expierence.
OP: Many Guardians' feel the same... But, if Sony is happy to watch the loyal (reasonable) Destiny fan base walk out the door, and still let BHQ keep on making the stupid missteps they just keep on doing, well, the end of the road is surely not far away... IMHO: Put D2 on Life Support mode...announce D3 as a work in progress, and update it with the latest and best technology has to offer, and future-proof it, and put proper gamers in charge...and take care of the Guardian Community! That's it, in a nutshell. Cheers!
I Found A game I've been pretty excited for. Strinova, It may be 3rd person but it scratches my destiny 2 PvP itch. Its second beta just launched recently and I was part of the many that got to try the first beta. I really enjoy the abilities of each character and how you can utilize them. you cant choose specific primary weapons but secondary has some fun variation. And unlike destiny 2 you have to choose characters for skills and primary. kind of like a mortal combat system for characters (that's the best way I can put it myself)
i just came across this vid and its safe to say, i quit apex (not fully but havent played in weeks) and i can safely say fragpunk really made me forget about other games i have a unhealthy addiction with. I cant wait for the full release my hand is itching since it left.
NGL i thought you were a vtuber. Also subbed cause im intersted in what you will cover in this game. I kinda want to try it myself when i can but i dont want to go there blind since it's a pvp game.
This looks promising and I will sub for the new game content. I stopped playing Destiny after Witch Queen. I figured if they couldn't consistently deliver content like WQ there was no point of me wasting my time on D2. Good luck and looking forward to seeing you play FragPunk!
I hope to play fragpunk when it comes out on steam. I used to play destiny a long time ago but it just never gave enough. I play warframe from time to time, i don't get fomo so its nice 1999 is almost out in December
I play warframe and you said you have nothing to chase in the game which got me thinking that I chase things in warframe too and I wondered whether I would eventually run out of things to get. I then realised that I often play with no thought about acquiring anything for weeks at a time and those times are just for the enjoyment of the movement and buildcraft.
I love Destiny 2 bungie has made poor decision after poor decision. And now they have made ones they cant come back from. As much as I love the game if revenant doesn’t keep my interest after 2 weeks im dropping the game it was an amazing experience while it lasted and i met some really cool peoples through the game
The grinding 'ad aeternus' killed Destiny. At least for me, personally. Bought Premium edition the final shape , played campaing 3 hours and then got refund with Microsoft. "Oh shit, here we go again" but not this time.
The downfall of Destiny can be attributed to 2 things for me 1 being the Eververse (Corporate greed) and 2 The removal of community events and secrets. The biggest impact being the latter. The secrets and community events are what MADE destiny what it was. The mystery and the pursuit of cool shit with friends THAT was Destiny back in the day. Without those elements its just another soulless looter shooter.
another game i have found to be really fun is the finals, i highly suggest you give it a try! and with you leaving destiny, i wish nothing but the best!
All things come to an end. Destiny is no exception. I mean, there is only so much a game developer can do to keep a game alive this long. Destiny’s chapter will come to a close just like all the great games before it. Sounds like it’s time to open a new book and that’s okay.
Though I've not played for months, I've always liked content creators such as yourself and sird etc, it's a shame to admit but I'm not sure I'm going back either
I feel the same way I moved to Warframe 2 months ago and I have no desire to comeback not even for the new exotic mission or the new season and not even the dungeon lunch has me interested at all.
There is something common everyone who stops playing destiny for a while plays something else. They have more fun playing with other games than destiny. The reason i stopped playing ia because it felt you have a second job than a game you play to have fun.
Ngl, I was the pos that skipped and it looks like a blast. I've rewound the video and put it on half speed just so you can make some money now. I appreciate you.
I still remember the moment I quit destiny. I was grinding this dungeon with 2 other friends. We were grinding for hours in order to upgrade our weapons. I don't remember what it was we were grinding but at some point in one of the runs I realized that I hated this. I had already done all the trials that were available then, I had already exhausted everything in PvP and now I was grinding for these upgrades that I didn't need. I literally asked myself if I hated my life 😅 The answer was a big no. I stopped, declared to my friends that I was quitting destiny and have never returned since. Honestly after all these years since then, I don't think I missed out on much. Destiny and destiny 2 were games with massive amounts of potential; but it just couldn't push itself to become interesting. It gets boring and exhausting the more u play.
The new content coming out makes our current armour less effective. The armour change they should have saved for Destiny 3 🤷🏻♂️ even if that’s a couple years out
If your gonna leave a looter shooter why not replace it with another one like the first descendant it’s rated m for mature has good gameplay and some wild skins , it’s honestly a lot of fun and I’ve been playing it for a month now.
I loved Destiny, but after they got rid of the creators for the Final Shape, that was the writing on the wall for me. Also, i constantly hear buzz about Marathon, which I WILL NEVER PLAY. The game you are suggesting is too cartoon for me. Hard pass. I play the First Descendant. It's a hard grind, but there are loads of characters to choose from. I also play warframe. FYI, Mactics just dropped a video for the Revenant episode for Destiny 2. I tried it and actually like it. 🎉
The issue is that those games never last, look at the finals or X defiant, there's tons of new fun shooters and more to come, but it sucks that you can't commit to any of them because they end up losing their player base in a matter of months.
I quit Destiny 2 in April 2020. I am more of a PVE player and hated that some loot were PVP exclusive. Even if the argument that PVP-rewarded weapons were better for PVP, they are still unique weapons players wanna play around with.
Maybe off topic but what Shadow mention in the beginning of video really mean nothing. Warframe also barely have video that have 100k view compare to destiny in recent month. But again warframe not at state ppl call dead game 🤷
i can relate with your situation bro, i uninstalled the game because every time i try to play D2 i just keep in orbit for 5 minutes and closed the game after that, i found a pvp refuge in the finals and titanfall 2 also i'm doing more productive things with my time, i'm officially touching grass lol
I switched to play The first desecendant and enjoying despite not sepnding a dime. I played the campaign which is ok jus like destiny 2 story however its free. I also grinded the end game which include free seasonal similar to destiny 2 pqid episodes. After 50 hours of enjoyment, i never going back to destiny 2 despite PSN provided me the free expansion witch queen. The main reason is witch queen does not imclude its dungeon so i deleted the game.
Steam charts are not indicative of an all-time low. Steam charts do not have data from the early years of D2, they only begin with the launch of Shadowkeep. The true all-time low was during the Curse of Osiris/Warmind era, when the game was weeks from closure and had 25k players across all platforms. Current player counts are at least 4X that amount. Also, what do people actually expect from a Destiny 3 that isn't possible to be implemented in the current game? If it's just a reset that people want, then start a new account. Housing is possible with the current tech, so is SRL, and they've already overhauled loot, weapons, subclasses, buildcrafting and armor more than once. Destiny 3 could, feasibly, bring better visuals (which don't fundamentally change gameplay), and they could implement a more seamless, open world into the game. These upgrades would require an upgraded engine, which they haven't been working on, so that would take years to develop. Even switching over to some like UE5 wouldn't really work, given they'd need to relearn and retool everything for that anyway. Destiny 3 would also guarantee a downgrade in terms of overall content availability. It's not going to launch with 9 raids and 9 dungeons, like what we have now. There would be 1 or 2 raids, and 1 or 2 dungeons the first year, along with a handful of strikes (or whatever the equivalent content would be). The sad truth is this: If you're bored with Destiny 2, you'll be bored with Destiny 3. Seeing how players are moving away from Destiny 2 towards other genres entirely shows that they're just bored with looter shooters. The fall off in Destiny 2 players hasn't led to an increase in Warframe, for example. The same way that people got burnt out from Call of Duty, or battle royales, or hero shooters, or rhythm games like Guitar Hero, people are burnt out from looter shooters.
I think the only way for this to replace Destiny for a lot of players is if they’re pvp players to begin with. For the rest of us I don’t think this game has what it takes to “ scratch that Destiny itch “
Sadlly there’s nothing quite Destiny. Its so unique and its own thing. I just stopped playing and am focising on single player games, but i could not unninstall it. Its there waiting my rush to play…😢
3:22 i would be cool with this being like halfway through of destiny's life span but it's the end, everyone is closing up shop and core people have been let go, destiny is legit ending lol
Same here moved on after the start of final shape,as a day one player sad to say sod bungie and any of there future games
Can you elaborate on love stories? I've been out of the destiny loop for years
Just wanted to say, as a nearly 5000 hour destiny 2 player, day one raider, crucible enjoyer as well, I think your thoughts and conversation about the game is very well thought through and justified.
It was one heck of a run, great video man I appreciate the work 🔥
And then the next episode comes out and everyone runs back
Nah if a mass of people are gonna come back it's gonna be for heresy and the dreadnought returning.
Not I
You are correct. People don't want to admit it. Destiny is fun. Very redundant, but fun.
Dang, I remember when I first found a video of yours on mask of bakris with a slug shotgun, I got so inspired to try the build and really no other content creator was able to the that cant wait to see whats next in this chapter thank you.
glad I could help inspire you
Just requested access to Fragpunk from this, closed beta starts October 10th steam and xbox
I was playing it earlier, its mad fun I main zypher, well I didn't try anyone else yet 😭
Proud to be one of your 4 bungie friends online at the time of this recording. 🙃
Jokes aside, I’ve loved discovering your channel. As other comments have said, you are clearly talented and have a knack for this. Keep up the content creation in whatever game. I hope to play Fragpunk sometime soon 😊
good luck man. end of an era, but with so many good games to look forward to, its time for bigger and better things. onward and upward brother
Sad to see your time with Destiny is done, but also cant wait to see the Fragpunk content coming
all good things must come to an end, yet change is always for the better🎉
Fragpunk looks fascinating can’t wait to give it a go when beta drops
I feel you so much. I started recording game play and making videos because I was bored and trying to have fun in pvp again. If I end up not having a great time playing frapunk after while (who knows what will happen), I have other plans for youtube - d2 isn't in them
Bro, destiny isn’t dead but it is dying and the days of hitting top numbers and players is over look at the new season it didn’t do what everyone expected as in “ow everyone will come back… where’d they go”
Copium is real
@@CollectorsAnxiety What I said is true. All content creators do it. Are you stupid?
hey man, thanks for the past d2 content. your cryosthesia sniper build earned me a flawless and I am a top 90+ % player, i'm no good. good luck with the next endeavor
Enjoyed the Destiny content while it was here, Good Luck on the next part of your journey!
Good luck Izanamii, i will still watch whatever you post.
You may be leaving the destiny 2 scene but you will truly be the goat
I'll still hop into D2 content as I feel its still the best looter shooter that allows for some decent theory crafting with builds with perks and artifacts.
But man I'm so pumped for FragPunk. Between The Finals and Frag Punk I think I'm pretty set for PvP shooters.
I'll always appreciate a fellow Slug Shotgun user.
good vid, ive been feeling this way about destiny pvp for a while now. it used to be what carried me through seasons but since everyone on that team went to marathon it's been even more stale than before.
I'm super hyped for fragpunk. Should be a good time
People quitting Destiny without being dramatic about it - Challenge (Impossible)

Very sad to hear. Always loved your content. But it's inevitable. I'm hanging on as long as I can.
I appreciate your transparency with what’s going on. Also the new game does look pretty dope.
Best of luck. You will be missed
shit fragpunk looks amazing. d2 movement, cod gunplay, and some card/roguelite elements. i'm in
Yea as a D1 vet, bungie had a gold idea, a great community.. and even more. Sadly bungie was lost in the idea of money they could make, and now.. my old favorite stomping ground is dying. Props to you, and good luck on everything in the future!

Love the Vid only critique is Destiny 2 is not just a pvp game, vs frag punk which is just pvp. So you cant fully compare the two.
NGL i thought you were a vtuber.
Also subbed cause im intersted in what you will cover in this game. I kinda want to try it myself when i can but i dont want to go there blind since it's a pvp game.

I wasn't convinced when FragPunk was being played by other creators until I watched this video. Definitely going to give FP a try now.

Warframe
Bro, youre super cracked at pvp. Sheesh. Anyway, great video. We all feeling it. Bungie is dumb.. they gotta do something.
another game i have found to be really fun is the finals, i highly suggest you give it a try!
and with you leaving destiny, i wish nothing but the best!
W editing
hey i know you. arent you that ergo sum guy?
I am with you with Fragpunk.. its next year game....
Totally not sponsored Valorant clone video. Great video dude, no irony.
This video got you a new sub. Please cut the cord on destiny for good.
Welcome! Huge video coming soon 😉
Nice advertisement lol
if I hype it up enough surely I'll have more people to play with

is always the unknown studios that cook... i wonder why...

I felt that way about around Osiris release. Haven't looked back.

@@Izanamii I've come to say, it's actually a fucking blast. 10/10 I think it's going to be a banger to play and I'm here for it.
how did you even find out about this game? did the devs reach out? I'm honestly only hearing about it today but it looks really promising.
Saw itzTimmy playing it
I still remember the moment I quit destiny. I literally asked myself if I hated my life 😅
The answer was a big no.
We got game like Black myth wukong, Space marine 2, Starship troopers extermination, and STALKER 2 coming soon
Between warframe and The First Descendant got that itch covered
honestly, lately I've been watching destiny 2 videos more than I played the game
Bro spit nothing but facts
The issue is that those games never last, look at the finals or X defiant, there's tons of new fun shooters and more to come, but it sucks that you can't commit to any of them because they end up losing their player base in a matter of months.
I quit Destiny 2 in April 2020. I am more of a PVE player and hated that some loot were PVP exclusive. Even if the argument that PVP-rewarded weapons were better for PVP, they are still unique weapons players wanna play around with.
whats ur sens/dpi
1600 dpi 2 in game
@@Izanamii lmao same here
Watching the gameplay you showed got me excited but sadly fragpunk is not available on PlayStation.
Maybe off topic but what Shadow mention in the beginning of video really mean nothing. Warframe also barely have video that have 100k view compare to destiny in recent month. But again warframe not at state ppl call dead game 🤷
what really is hurting the game was changing sniping and not giving us no land beyond at launch
You should check out witchfire. Single player but has huge destiny gameplay feel.
I absolutely love fragpunk! so good wth lol
i can relate with your situation bro, i uninstalled the game because every time i try to play D2 i just keep in orbit for 5 minutes and closed the game after that, i found a pvp refuge in the finals and titanfall 2 also i'm doing more productive things with my time, i'm officially touching grass lol
Fragpunk, going off the trailers and gameplay footage, looks more like a valorant replacement if anything. still might give it a try
II felt like this years ago pvp was my thing but the support for pvp fell off
As a PvP main concord was probably the closest I’ve had to a destiny 2 PvP replacement but you know people always have to shit on things
You should try out friends vs friends because it seems like they took heavy inspiration from them
I remember some of these content guys went over to destiny 2 from Division 2
Sorry to see ya leave man. Remember, Guardians make their own fate.
I think the only way for this to replace Destiny for a lot of players is if they’re pvp players to begin with. For the rest of us I don’t think this game has what it takes to “ scratch that Destiny itch “
I want to try the new episode... but i just can't bring myself to play.
Sadlly there’s nothing quite Destiny. Its so unique and its own thing. I just stopped playing and am focising on single player games, but i could not unninstall it. Its there waiting my rush to play…😢
3:22 i would be cool with this being like halfway through of destiny's life span but it's the end, everyone is closing up shop and core people have been let go, destiny is legit ending lol
how much longer are we going to say destiny is dead then come back to it and act like nothing happened?
in case you ever wondered what Astroturfing was, this video is it lol.
I miss D1. D1 before the taken king was honestly insane.
I just started playing FFXIV. Its completely different obviously, but ive always craved a real MMO experience.
