- Mason Ho makes his way North East across the globe to Europe. Ericeira Portugal to be exact. A small cool surf town with incredible seafood and waves.
Portugal is perfect to Search for waves because it’s so big! This day was special because it had fog early and not many people were looking for waves. Mason came across this fun reef wave he never surfed before so he made his way out and caught some waves alone before the word got out.

Yeah it's pretty wild. I can't remember who said it that the moment but someone basically said he just gets to a spot and no matter where it is he has it dialed so fast it's like he's been there for years.

Looks awfully like that home break Mason and Sheldon surf onto dry rocks but imagine having the ability to roll up to a new break and surf it way better than all the locals. But then again, rocks + Mason it’s almost an unfair partnership.
There are some very skilled Portuguese locals. It's not like that, "rolling up and surf it way better than the locals". Cheers

crazy watching Mason surf what looks like a 6’2 or 6’6 and it’s actually a 5’10 ...guess we are used to watching him on a 5’6 RNF or so. shredding as always...
This break is pretty gnarly, I check it every days and always poo myself from the cliff just looking. ToTal Legend!
Sic one, that spot was made for Mason, hardly any water and dumping barrels over a super shallow reef, he makes it look so easy, then you paddle out and realize that it’s 8 inches deep where he’s taking off and pulling in with the jagged shoreline coming up quick! He has mad A’ama crab skills , the way he can cling to rocks and scurry out of whitewater right before it shreds him to bits on jagged reef, yeah he’s definitely highly trained in the way of da “A’ama😁🤙🏽

Mase Surfing is still like 10X better than anything on CT. Sometimes there’s good stuff from Jack, JJF, Yago and other guys coming up + Kelly…but the tour isn’t interesting except on Pipe imo
