  • This video is about a Proxxon Table saw I acquired. Kind of an introduction to this remarkable tool and a few examples of things I've already made with it. More to come in future videos.

I loved your video. the fact you watched so many videos to make a decision is what I've been doing, but haven't found any genuine videos such as yours. You did all the homework for me. I also was on the fence about the price, but I think I'm going all in because of your video. It was insightful and you answered all the questions that I would have asked myself before purchase. I also use to have a prius too. Your comment about the preciseness is what made me confident in this product. thank you. liked and subscribed. keep up the genuine footage.

Thank you for your comment. I continue to to use and enjoy discovering more about this remarkable tool's capabilities. I am getting much better at exploiting it's precision. I know there are other designs that have come out since Proxxon conceived this saw. They might be even "better" or improve on things. But after spending time with my little Proxxon, I have to say it has exceeded my expectations and it has been capable of delivering everything I have asked of it. I hope you get the same level of enjoyment that I am experiencing.

Be careful buying. Read @stephen6567 comment. I hope he tells me wehre his wife bought it so we can flag and avoid them.
      Hopefully it wasn't Proxxon itself.

@@RoadtrekRich This behavior is becoming all too common recently. Gives pause as to where everyone is suspect or not when trying to deal with them, definitely not the world I grew up in, so sad life has to be this way. Happy Holiday season Rich!

@@desertschooner769 I agree. Can't just go forward blindly. Have to think about what I'm about to do...not assume. I have a pretty deeply ingrained sense I gained from flight training I received. I don't "trust" without verfiying. Nor do I "believe" just what is presented on the surface. Still, at a point, I roll the dice and take my chance. But I will say, many times, this cinical approach has saved me or uncovered what turned out to be less than desireable outcomes.

I have the older version and it is a work horse for cutting bulk wood for my modeling. The fence in the older models is/was terrible. When they developed the new fence I wrote to them a few times about finding a way to adapt their new fence to the older model but received no support. Very disappointed as i have a number of their tools in my shop. Eventually i purchased the Jim Byrnes table saw and never looked back.

Thanks for the comment. Have you watched the Harris Knudsen videos? He has constructed some pretty elaborate accessories that look like they are substantial improvements and expand the functionality of this saw. My situation was I was able to pick one of these Proxxons up for a very LOW price so I kind of have to compromise that part of things. I'm sure the Jim Byrnes saw probably has addressed the shortcomings of a saw that embodies a much more dated design and manufacturing process but for my use, it is cost prohibitive.

I just looked at Harris Knudsen video but his saw uses the modern fence. Unfortunately it will not work on mine. Thanks for posting.
