If I was still living in UK I would definitely be contacting you about such a trip right now. I really appreciate your attitudes to and styles of photography. I had moved from the Midlands to Cornwall because I loved the rugged coastline and scenery right on my doorstep. I used to go to Scotland every year during Holy Week - because that was always the last off season week and all prices were much cheaper. But not only that, the mountains usually still had snow on top and that made the wider landscape scened so much more captivating and beautiful. Skye is one of my favourite places in the world.
But now I live in the Philippines. I have to completely relearn landscape photography here as it is so different. I find myself doing some street photography, which I have not done before. I am learning to view the world in new ways, and that's a fulfilling thing in itself.
I would love to join you, but it's a rather long and expensive trek from here... I hope you get some good guys on your planned trip and have a wonderful time.

Pity I am a little too far south Chris, maybe one day when I finally save up the funds to come visit.
Perhaps as your touring project grows and you go international to shoot Australia. I can give you a hell of a lot of local intel for when that time comes to fruition.
So jealous I don't get those moody dark atmospheric days in Sunny South East Queensland, it's enough sun to make a landscape photographer sick! Shooting Blue Skies, puffy white clouds and torquise waters 350 days of the year does have it's drawbacks believe it or not!
