I knew that was a leather knife... Crazy how sharp they stay for so long... My grandfather had some leatherworking knives passed down his family he used as peering/potato knives... Never needed to be sharpend and they were over 50 years old THEN...

I love it you do a whole antique knife restoration with antique knife tools and then almost at the end you use some aluminum oxide sandpaper like they had that back in the day LOL come on click bait
i restored a folding knife made in the 1950's...gave back to guy he was like...he said it looks liker the day he stole it from the hardware store as a kid
@@robertbaan2944 it is pine pitch obviously something mihht be added, but i doubt. People back then had these methods because when there are these tools with ferrules domething is poured in to fill in the gaps
