Great teaching 👍I have join Yogathletica for 2 months and I have learned a lot and practicing daily and improve a lot in my all asanas specialy downfacing dog and utkatasana every different steps
My problem is that when I lean back I am supporting my body weight on the back arm. There is no way I can go back to straight position from there - if I tried to raise my right arm off the ground I would just collapse backwards.
clray123 your foot may be too far forward and, as a result, pushing your weight backwards. Can you pull it in closer at all? If it’s all the way in, my suggestion is that you use your back hand to push your body weight strongly forward until you find your balance point. Hope that helps!
Okay...you may just have to work the flexibility a while before the full pose will work. Some poses are like that. You should see me working pasasana every day...can’t even get close...but working on it! :)

Awesome. That tip to get a little behind to get the torso parallel is a saver!

The closer I put my foot to my butt, the more my back rounds, and the more tense my quad becomes, and the less I am able to twist in any direction.
