Hi loving your Japan series. I just came back from there and I love how I saw it in such a similar manner. I stayed in shibuya in Tokyo so these sights are very familiar. I also traveled to Hokkaido and did a lot of train travel. I also noticed the tiled buildings, cute plants in houses, tiny cars and quiet streets just off the busy areas
Ohhh cool, I actually look forward myself to watch some other videos from Tokyo to be able to recognise some spots :D Glad you’re enjoying it, thank you!☺️🙏🏼
I just shoot film and instant as a hobby, but even then it's already conditioned me to follow the same process even when shooting with my phone, and trying to nail the shot on the first try, despite having the flexibility of digital. It's the biggest thing that made me love analog photography, learning to actually slow down, fully take in and capture the moment.
So awesome to see Harajuku captured at night. And the vibe is just so different. It’s an interesting juxtaposition of the hustle bustle during the daytime in that area. Awesome shots🌸✨
Great shots! I really like the last one of the person with the blue hat and mask on the bike. It just has a special mood to it for me. Thanks for sharing!
Nothing better than watching your videos while scanning some film of my own! I love the photo of the storefront with the little jungle outside at 6:15! I think the green tones that Lomo 800 has really give this photo a nice cohesive look. The POV aspect also really comes through in that photo of the two guys hunting for a meal at 11:55
Hi Teo! I am recently learning film photography and this video is really amazing in terms of learning how i should approach a scene. I do have a question, did you overexpose your Lomo 800? or just shot it at 800?
14:18 I know you don't really like the shot but I thought of it differently than you did, your opinion stuck to the previous picture and you really tried to find similarities to it but I tried to look at it in a different way That was probably the favorite photograph of mine in this video, the way I thought of it is different than you did, you can clearly see in the image that everything else is full of people but this is the only subject that is "alone" and isolated, I like that he is in the left part of the frame and there are people out of focus on the right, the main subject is the dude but the thing that stands out for me is the license plate of the scooter, the red brake light really gives a contrast to the other colors in the shot and it gives a characteristic vibe to the whole picture especially because the colors are the way they are on the lomo 800 10/10 on that photo, appreciate the videos and thank you for teaching me more about photography and the way of thinking outside the box when shooting. Keep up the work and never change :) (sorry for possible grammar mistakes english my third language)
Hello Teo I just wanted to tell you I've discovered your channel not a long ago after my mom gave me her old Canon AE-1 with some kodak films, and your videos were so much inspiring I bought a digital camera and a microphone, I was working in CGI and I'm a 3D artist at first but I'm switching to real videos so I can use all my knowledge into video editing and animation to make great content, now I need to learn how to take good shots, in video and in photography, it might be a long process but I'll keep it up and I have to thank you for all the inspiration you're giving me, I can legit rank you as my favorite content creator even if I know you since a week or two, keep it up you're awesome ! Can I ask you if you pushed the ISO on your camera on shooted everything at 800ISO ?
It’s a light meter app to know which settings I need👍🏼 I actually made a short video on this topic, in case you’re interested: ua-cam.com/video/sPf7HBdMi0w/v-deo.html
My partner and I will be in Tokyo on July 4 but only for 14 hours as a stopover on our way to France. Hopefully we’ll be back on a semi-permanent basis early next year. Well, that’s the plan anyway:)
Haha I shot with a Pentax K1000🙌🏼✨ Also yes, I‘m half Japanese and grew up speaking it with my Mum and still now exclusively speak Japanese with here☺️
No, I’m half Japanese so I used to come a lot, but with the family growing it became unaffordable so we now don’t go as a family, but independently. My last visit was a little while ago though in 2016. I wanted to return around 2020, but you know why that didn’t happen. And then finally last year Japan opened it’s borders and so I booked for this year’s spring☺️✨
2:38 The way the lines lead to different subjects in the frame - feels so good looking at this photo. I wish I had your artist’s eye!
Teo, the effort you put into your videos is so clear and makes them so special!!!
Aww thank you so much!🥹🙏🏼
Dude just found ur channel and gotta say this is one of the most chill channels I’ve ever come across
Aww sweet, glad you’re enjoying this little corner of UA-cam - thanks for checking in☺️🙏🏼

It's always about the process, otherwise we'd just take shots on the phone to delete afterwards. Nice video!!

@@teocrawford right! Literally night and day. Of course!
Shibuya is so geometrically regularized and silently aesthetic.
the first pic goes so hard with the faces in the reflection
I wanted you to see the skyscrapers beyond the August heat haze.
Thanks for coming.

I just shot at boxspeed👍🏼
If you’re still in Tokyo Leo you should go for a walk around Yanaka. I was taking photos every 5m in that place.
Ohhh hahah that sounds fantastic, I’ll note that for next time🙏🏼 (just arrived back in Austria on Thursday)
What tripod do you use? I was planning on getting myself one, but didnt know which one i should get

Is film photography analogous with listening to music via vinyl records? Thanks for your videos!
What iso did you rate it at? I’m about to shoot my first roll of loom 800 but am unsure whether I should do it at box speed
“That was random” is so Tokyo isn’t it? I wish I was going back tomorrow. Thanks for another great video Teo. What camera were you using?
Hahah indeed😂 I’m happy to read you enjoyed it! I hope you make it back soon :)

Most important info left off-what film camera did you use.
Also, just curious, do you speak Japanese?
Haha I shot with a Pentax K1000🙌🏼✨

what type of tripod do you use for your pentax?
Does anybody know the name of the app he uses at 7:00? It looks good. Thanks :)
nice vid
What app were you using for light metering?
Never mind, saw your other video. Nice work!
Hey! Where and how do you wear your GoPro?
The GoPro is on my head using a headstrap👍🏼
What lenses do you have for the pentax k1000?
I mostly shoot with a Cosinon 35mm f/2.8 and a Pentax 50mm f/1.7🙌🏼
did he say "Germany's windows" ? 4:08

is your fist time in japan?

Not great photographs but the most fun things are the stuff matter you the most, there is a story.
12:57 can anybody ID the model of this trek bike?
Sorry, just saw it’s the K1000.
