  • We just finished a live festival concert in Milton, Ontario, Canada, and 2 minutes after getting off the stage, I was introduced to a quiet gentleman that was taking in our Simply Queen show... www.simplyqueen... John... a school mate of Freddie Mercury's John talked to us about those school days and how Farrokh moved to England and became this famous rock star! AMAZING !!!! that you never know who you will meet and so great to hear wonderful things about Freddie's childhood! (born Farrokh Bulsara; Gujarati: ફરોખ બલ્સારા‌, Pharōkh Balsārā‌); Freddie (Farrokh) was sent to study at St. Peter's School, a British-style boarding school for boys in Panchgani near Bombay (now Mumbai), India. In the 1950s.

Freddie's Aunt is the one who gave him PIANO LESSONS, and Art Lessons. Not his mom.
Freddie's Aunt lived in India , near where he went to Boarding School.

This school is st. Peters high school. It's my father's school too, he studied their for quite a lot of years.. Also note that the piano in the church is over 100 years old.

Here for every Indian fan there is a big question that says , did freddie knew hindi ? So here's the answer , If you listen to I want it all on UA-cam official video then at timing 1:51 freddie says a hindi word that is idhar aao means come here in english. And that proves he knew hindi. The line goes like this - here's to the future for the dreams of youth , I want it all ( idhar aao)

Amazing... 2 minutes after finishing our Simply Queen show last night in Milton Ontario, I was introduced to an older gentleman who we find out, went to school with Freddie Mercury in India... A SCHOOL MATE OF FREDDIE.... AMAZING, you never know who you will meet and who is watching you (perform). and just before meeting John, we met 2 British ladies who lived very close by to Garden Lodge (Freddie's home). What a way to cap off a wonderful day and night in beautiful Milton Ontario!

I was his school mate. He was 5 years my senior.
I have composed a song in his remembrance, "LONDON TOWN."
Its on UA-cam, under the name Esky.
FREDDIE MERCURY ,aka, FARUKH BULSARA,aka, BUCKY.
Musically , exceptionally talented and was s member of the band called ‌ HECTICS, in school. In the 2 assembly hall, there was a piano, that's where they jammed. Farhang Irani, Bruce Murray, Victory Rana and Deryck Branche, were the other members of the Hectics.
He was good in studies too!

Freddie didn't like to talk about his childhood!
He suffered very mental injuries at an extremely remote school.
Where he hadn't even seen his family in 8 years
He wasn’t even 7 years old when he was admitted to the boarding school.
Although he received good training, his soul was ruined. He was ridiculed for his teeth and special behavior.
Freddie was a smart and lively child.
    Very talented!!
However, parental love was sorely lacking !!
    one more thing...
Freddie learned a lot of good things in this school and did a lot of good things.
He drew excellently, his sports results were excellent and he also learned to play the piano here!
but Freddie was a sensitive man because he was talented.
He was very worn out by the fact that he was very far from his parents and his family !!
That's why he didn't talk about it all

That mental injury is bullshit . He had good friends and was very friendly. They play music together and also he used to call everyone darling.

I think early childhood screws up people in their adulthood. To not see your child for 8yrs is pretty crap

His mother was a good piano player?
I doubt it,she hasn't talked about visiting him in india at all
When he had the chance of having a free piano from college she wouldn't let him have it
It was his auntie in india that encouraged his music

Freddie's favourite singer was Lata Mangeshkar; There is a song named Tera Mera Pyar Amar sung by Lata from a movie called Asli Naqli and Queen has a song with similar tone; I don't remember which but If I will find it I will edit my comment.

jeff hardy Hindi is not India's national language. We have language for each state. Like 22 languages and 3-4 major languages

He could speak some, I think mostly learnt from religious school books, so Arabic / Hindi, but i don't think he was fluent in any. He also knew quite a bit of Japanese. His sister said at home their parents spoke Kiswahili, so i'm guessing he was quite fluent in that.

Of course. They were a regular rich business family Paris community from Bombay. Most people from Bombay speak Hindi.
