    What an amazing interview with Freddie showing such emotion and vulnerability. He states he was 41, and since he died of AIDS at 45, he already knew he was quite ill at the time, yet he does not show any pity. In fact, just the opposite; that he has lived a full life and he is content. A very strong man who gave his all, along with Queen, to give the world the most amazing music! I love to hear his songs and actually feel Freddie in those haunting words. Freddie touches my life with every Queen song I hear and I think of him often and feel blessed.........Thank you sweet man, so many millions, including me, love you............

      Yeah exactly. I get the feeling that if anyone had had an emotional display feeling badly for him and his circumstances, he would have rolled his eyes and told them to dry it up or leave the room until they’d composed themselves. That’s the type he’s just always struck me as.

    One of the most beautiful things about him was he sang his emotions out loud in the hope they would resonate with us & they certainly did & still do. The world as one big heart beating together...its a kinda magic! ❤

    To those here who call him a liar, I say, " What's it to you" "What have you accomplished in your life that has given so, so many people happiness, joy, inspiration and sheer feelings of goodwill towards others? It's not what I get from this person. I get negativity.
    HE, Freddie, was in charge of his life and HE, Freddie, decided what parts of it he wanted to share or talk about. What are you???????
    The disclosure police? STOP JUDGING!!!!! Freddie was an exceptional and amazing human being and a true treasure here on earth.

      What kinda goofy, parasocial, weirdo logic is that? Because someone is successful in the entertainment business, they’re suddenly beyond reproach? Foh! I don’t think his diagnosis was anyone’s business, but your goofy “you can’t question anything he’s said or done because people enjoy his music” is unhinged
      Side Note: there are literally no commenters calling him a liar, so you just had an argument with yourself 😂😂😂

    It's so sad to think of what he must have felt having to lie as he answered these questions to keep his privacy. He knew by then, he had his diagnosis. He was determined not to be stigmatized (as most people with AIDS were and sadly still are) or to become some kind of poster boy for KS. Stronger than anybody thinks. Bless you, Freddie, we miss you still!

    Yes its quite shattering when your body turns against you and you feel that you are not superman anymore. It happened to me when i was 24. Got Diabetes. My life has never been the same since. Im still here, but i could have 1 billion dollars and live in the Bahamas on a private island without a care in world... I would still be sick.

      I’m so sorry your struggling with diabetes. Please don’t think it’s your body turning against you though because it isn’t. I felt like most of my life with countless health struggles. I can’t recommend the Medical Medium books enough. Diabetes is totally reversible if it’s type 2, type 1 diabetes is caused by a virus that’s damaged the pancreas, your body is always trying to save and protect you. The book - liver rescue by Medical Medium goes into this and what actually causes diabetes and how to heal. Life changing info we all need to learn about. The medical industry sadly know nothing about all this!! I wish you well on your healing journey!

    Queen was more than a rock'n'roll stars, they are Legends. Their concerts were huge party's. Their music brought all sorts of emotions, they took you on a journey. You could see the interactions with fans. Their talents amazing, they gave it their all, and yet people still want more. I don't know if they realized how good Queen really was, they made Queen into something great with all their talents?

      Nah, it was just a VERY different time. You can't assess anything in those days based on today's norms. Back then there was still a real hatred towards homosexuality and those with AIDS were treated horrendously. Especially in the UK. The "gay plague" it was called in the West.
      In the gay community, AIDS was rampant sadly. Promiscuity was common as AIDS wasn't treated seriously for many years and many gay men ignored it until they started dying in numbers. Nobody knew who they got it from. There was a lot of confusion.
      Freddie was always a private person in interviews. David Wigg who conducted the interview was a trusted friend who was the only journalist who Freddie trusted and was more open too. You should search for interviews with him talking about Freddie.

    • @Harry-jz1dn
      @Harry-jz1dn 5 місяців тому +1

      If you're interested in more context, you should watch Freddie Mercury - The Final Act. Also, the British drama, "It's a Sin". It's based between 1981-1991 and is excellent. Showing how the AIDS crisis developed. The movie The Normal Heart is also good.
      They would give you an idea of what Freddie dealt with. The difference being he was a huge star and the UK press back then was nasty. He had to keep even his sexuality a mystery for the sake of the group... so his AIDS diagnosis he had to be even more silent with.
