This is the correct opinion. Welcome aboard!
LIAM!!!
Wow this comment is huge!!
The goat himself is here.
W Liam.
Dude in a room watching random people get into One Piece (just like me frfr)
As a person who has watched one piece I can confirm this opinion is indeed correct
"There are too many episode, until there arent enough episodes" - some guy
I hate seeing this cause this used to be me before I watched it 13 times over😭😂
ME! JFC I WAS SO SAD WHEN I CAUGHT UP! I WANT MORE EPISODES!!!
Its like reading a modern odyssey
For real real

Welcome nakama. After 60 episodes one piece is a good anime After 300 episodes one piece is the best anime of all time. And after 1,000 episodes you will feel that the One Piece story is too short.
@@carkawalakhatulistiwawell I’m at the 348 episodes rn yes One piece is an amazing anime it’s truly an amazing Journey loving every second of it I started my One piece Journey 5 months ago
"guys i finally started one piece" ok I already liked the vid
Heck yeah! Appreciate it!
@@MIKEY_M.A.X :)
One Piece fans are the equivalent of Jehovah's witnesses in manga. We just spread the word and are just happy someone has a minute to talk about our lord Luffy.
@@Jaxay93 yeah
2 things i love about 1 piece:
1. How the single goal of the series stays the same but grows in context: I want to be Pirate King! Seems like a silly arbitrary shonen goal but as you move along you come to truly appreciate the consequences, historical and geopolitical aspirations of such a goal
2. Luffy may be dumb but hes emotionally intelligent. He reads people well, is always learning what it means to be a great leader and what true freedom really means (healthcare, access to history, food scarcity, responsibility...)
Luffy is great! And he does have a way of finding good people
people say that Luffy is very emotional intelligent and I cou'dn't agree more. But I believe it's much more that that. He's not just reading people and all. He always has a right answer to the hardest dilemmas. As if he lives his life without ever feeling like to put a "but" in a middle of a sentense. This is so subtle, yet I think this is the reason why he's so captivating as a character.
@@dmitrychirkov4206perfectly said !!
one piece hasn’t even peaked yet. You gonna love it even more🔥🔥🔥🔥
Where would you say it peaks? I'm at Whole Cake Island, my favorite arcs have been Skypiea and Fishman Island
For me peaks are Skypiea, Enies Lobby and Marineford. From newer arcs, maybe Dressrosa? I need to re read some arcs again.
For me its Egghead for now
@@TeeKayDee he means it just gets better and better, you might have arcs u prefer more that others but the trend is upward
People act like it’s a task, it’s either you like it or not. Doing something you enjoy isn’t a task. And why would you want a show that you know that you will enjoy to end?
Welcome to the Crew Nakama.
I started one oiece because of the live action. Currently wrapping up whole cake island. I cant even begin to explain how much i love one piece. Beat story ever weitten.
Welcome to the crew! Its an increadible journey and I'm glad ur enjoying it.
I appreciate that!

One Piece is the greatest piece of fiction ever written along with the single saddest backstory in fictional history bar none.
Enjoy the ride and hold on tight for the roller-coaster of emotions that you will have and enjoy.
which do you consider the saddest? robin's? :O
@@darwinwatterson4568 No but if you don't know which one I'm talking about, then that means that you're not caught up to the manga.
It should be coming soon in the anime. Probably in another 10 - 20 episodes It will continue to it's conclusion.
It's already started and I don't want to say anything else as not to spoil but it's sadder than Robin's.
Welcome to the One Piece family 😊
I am really happy for you that you started One Piece. What I still do not get is why people think when they start watching One Piece that they have to watch every episode until they are caught up. You can stop at any time if you do not like it. Its not like someone is putting a gun to your head and forces you to watch the whole show.
I caught up because i see spoilers everywhere and i have time to watch other shows. Waiting weekly episode builds up hype for next episode for me.
I agree! I mean sometimes if a series doesn’t hook me within the first few episodes, I give it a chance until I’m far too bored
It's so good right now the anime it's about to start with 1112 which will follow the peak of the manga which is all the craziest that is going on
EVERYTHING YOU READ SO FAR wait for it
IT'S GOING TO GET BETTER and better and better until possibly the greatest finale in the history of storytelling
Once in a lifetime story
This is truly the greatest piece of literature I have ever read for storytelling
How can anyone who actually watches or reads One Piece hate Luffy?
Yes, he isnt intelligent in the academic way. BUT he is probably the most emtionally intelligent person in the entire story of One Piece. Means he allways sees through what people say and knows exactly what they feel and who they really are. Not to mention he is willing to go through hell and back for friends and family, even good people he just met. As long as he knows they are good people, he will do whatever he can to help.
Remember Nami in Coco Village?
Remember Usopp in Syrup Village?
Rember Vivi in Alabasta?
He allways gets people to open up to him and to fully trust him.
Is he a goofball? Sure. A moron a lot of times? No question. But there is a reason why everyone is drawn to him and why no villan can really break him. But my frient, be prepared for the next arc if you are currently at Water 7... it will change the entire game and you will probably understand my point even better!
Luffy is an idiot, but he is our idiot and has a very high level of emotional intelligence.
I was skeptical but decided to watch it last year. Well, i got hooked and finally caught up to the most recent episode!!!! It has been an epic and surprisingly emotional journey!!!!
That's nice to hear!
People have to think of it as it is. It is a story, and the dynamics of a story goes in how it affects you. You let it. You're not to think of it as an undertaking. It's not a burden, or kind of load, lest it allow you turn it into a job like that daily grind that eventually takes your life, or a backlog like some show, or a game, or a book.
It's just meant for you to enjoy it. If it makes you think, that's a sign it's doing better than its price. If it changes certain perspectives, especially if it makes you optimistic or makes you question the deeper things, then it's doing good. And good is serious undertaking in understanding content, especially since what's "good" and what's "bad" is actually being asked. So it's kind of meta, and in applying that kind of meta in a story of absurdity of both ends of the spectrum between realistic or fantastic it will get, makes it do great, although not as good as its actual value. It's not a medical, or law, or scientific how-to book, but I promise you it has saved countless lives.
I'm not speaking for all OP fans, but I honestly believe that the thousand plus episodes/chapters/volumes just isn't enough.
Good luck! It'll be worth it.
I agree wholeheartedly

I started watching the anime a few months ago after falling in love watching the live action last year. Currently getting through the Water 7 arc, and I can say without a doubt that I’m glad I invested in One Piece.
Same here I started my one piece Journey 5 months ago and I’m currently 400+ episodes in my favorite arcs so far have been Alabasta Water 7 and Enies lobby I love one piece❤this anime is truly amazing once u get invested into it and this is someone who hated on this anime for many years because it’s too long and not worth not was I wrong One piece is totally worth it

Glad you're enjoying the story so far, and good luck on the rest of your One Piece journey if you're not caught up yet!~
I started it recently too, it's definitely worth it! Also ur really cute
man it just gets better and better, im finishing whole cake rn and god its amazing, good luck on your journey man!
At first you think there's too many episodes/chapters, but the closer you get to catching up the more you realize there ain't enough 💀
Great video. Enjoy your amazing ride man 🎉
I appreciate you!!
after Water Seven there will be more and more eps that have bad pacing. That's because One Piece doesn't have much filler, so they have to slow down the pace by only taking 1 chapter or even less for one ep. Btw for normal anime, usually they take 2-6 chapters depending on the length.
I started watching One Piece a year ago, and just like you, before I used to think there were too many episodes etc...
But now that I caught up, I feel like there wasn't enough
It just gets better and better
In the amount of time it takes ppl to put off One Piece, as a kid I watched it several times and all the other anime I wanted and literally grew up with One Piece and still see more on each watch.
In terms of filler, there are filler arc that aren’t in the manga, but they are still entertaining and are worth watching
Welcome onboard new Nakama ❤this is what we love
I started one piece on a whim while I was high as fuck, and in two to three months, it became my number one piece of fiction ever.
Algorithm working its magic! Let’s go!!!
Heck yeah!!😄
As someone who repeatedly heard about one piece and never had the faintest interest in it until I watched the Live Action and moved to the anime... YES.
I just got done with skypiea which was f***ing incredible.
What interests me now is a lot of people say it "gets good" (what they mean is "gets incredible") around water seven/enies lobby, the next two major arcs of the show for me.
I've never heard anyone say much about skypiea at all. So if those two are apparently so good they completely overshadow skypiea I am HYPED.
Also I don't think the time sink of watching it matters. Whether you actually watch all of it will depend on how much you like it.
If you don't, you won't lose all that time. If you do, you have a lot of entertainment for a very long time :)
"Packed" is an understatement, I think the slowest the anime gets is a quest to find an old Yagura and Sanji Side story about the All-Blue, the rest of the next 2 arcs is so full of action I deleted my initial descriptions of the roller coaster you are about to see to avoid spoilers, they are where everything you have seen so far leads to and get references to everything for like 3 arcs afterwards.
Personally imo I didn’t like Skypiea arc though it dragged a lot and was boring but I watched it all the only thing that was cool imo from skypiea was how op Eneru was. And my favorite arcs in one piece are Alabasta arc Water 7 arc and Enies lobby and I started my one piece Journey this year it’s been about 5 months of watching one piece I love this anime so much ❤I remember hating on this anime for many years because it’s too long and not worth it boy was I wrong once u watch this anime it’s incredible especially imo once I got to Alabasta I was like one piece is truly amazing and then once I got to water 7 and enies lobby I was like ok One piece is the best anime ever imo
@@outrightflame4280 Skypiea is like the starting hill of a rollercoaster, it has a few looping tracks in the endgame(teaching Dials, mantra, and Enel's fight), then the escape arc from the Sky and marine base are fun, but mainly the arc is a spectacular set-up and power up arc for the crew, especially the weaker ones, without dials Nami and Usopp were fairly weak, Usopp got so OP with them he could stand against Luffy and deal significant damage, something he was utterly incapable of before that, even after the training arc the Dials likely contribute about 40-50% of his combat ability, his training mainly raising his base physical abilities and giving his arsenal a wider variety of applications.
The length is always the daunting part but honestly if OP was any shorter, it wouldn’t be as good. I’ve heard comparisons made to Tolkien’s LOTR and they are WARRANTED. It is genuinely one of the greatest pieces of fiction across all languages.
I LOVE how loving, inviting, supportive, and huge the One Piece community is. Thank you for being who you are Nakama.
I´ve been watching One Piece for most of my life, 21 years now... still dread the day when its over. Anyways, welcome to the journey :)
You are 100% correct!! Welcome arbored! Remember to always pay attention and remember because GOda never forgets and will set things up HUNDREDS of Chapters ahead of time, the author set up things that didn't pay off for quite a few years later.
It's so strange to me (though I also understand) how people see watching a series as investing time and costing time. That's like not taking Netflix, because there's too much to watch. You are watching because you want to watch something. If that is not One Piece, you will likely still be watching something else. Also, you don't have to finish at all! It's not a task you need to finish, it's a tv program that you hopefully like watching.
this video is displayed in my youtube homepage, WELCOME NAKAMA! im subscribing dont let me down ;)
I started it back during lockdown took till last year for me to catch up. now as of a few days ago I am now watching it again :3
it ended up being that, actually there were far too few episodes
Just reached episode 1000 last night.
What a journey 😭😭😭
Luffy definitely has moments that are frustrating but honestly I don’t think anyone that has watched past the “halfway” point of the series can truly hate Luffy.
Woo hoo. I actually got into One Piece back in December. I never thought I’d be a fan of the show but I really love it. It took me only 6 months to catch up and I enjoyed every moment
I started in August and I’m nearly caught up
Dang, that was fast! I only saw maybe one clip as a child and only until
Spoilers- don’t read if you aren’t caught up with the anime
I heard about the debut of gear 5 luffy in the anime. I started to watch which me unfortunately being spoiled by aces death and many other moments along the way and now 9-10 months later, I have experience everything one piece. The anime, manga, movies, ova’s. I could have taken it a bit slower, but I’d say it was worth it in the end. Now I’m caught up.
@@varietylive5628I started in March of this year I’m currently at the summit war arc rn
Dude I started one piece back when the show started airing with the bad dubs and they would edit in lollipops. Actually when UA-cam first started I would come on here and watch peoples cool edits with the manga and music. I’ve actually started showing one piece to many own kids. Glad you enjoy it

@@1zaius YES!
I have rewatched twice and reread once. I always connected more dots each rerun. Everything is connected and you become so immersed in the world of One Piece it feels real. Ready your smiles, tears and laughs. You will ask for more of all three. Enjoy the journey while Oda is still drawing!
Man you are just 300 eps into this and you are praising this peak so much. Cant wait to see your opinion once you catchup!! Keep going on Nakama!
Facts. Every time I say “this is peak”, something later in the story gets even peakier.
I started watching just after Dressrosa and i was caught up in 2 to 3 months. Sometimes I watched 10 to 15 episodes a day.
I kept starting at the beginning then quitting after an episode or two. I did that for years and then I finally decided to jump ahead to after the time skip. As soon as I finished Dressrosa I had to go back and start at the beginning because I was completely hooked. No anime has had a larger influence on me as a person than this anime.
Nah man!
You don't HAVE to commit your time to One Piece.
You GET to commit your time to One Piece.
My stepdad decided to start January 31st, of this year. We caught up with the English dub on July 4th. 100% worth it, and I HIGHLY Suggest it. He doesn't care for subtitles, so he will stay with the English dub. I will probably catch up with the Japanese anime, and then read the manga, so I can get completely caught up. I will definitely watch the dub with him though.
if you're planning on watching the anime too it will most likely take you over a year and right now is a perfect time to catch up if you can
Welcome to the worm hole! 😂 everyone needs to try it. Took me about 4-6 months the get caught up. My life’s changed now. I’m a forever Straw Hat ❤
It’s amazing! Can’t wait to get caught up!
Laboon (chapter 102/Episode 62) set up something that didn't pay off until the Thriller Bark arc (442-489 or episodes 337-381).
Luffy struggles, and that’s enough. You really feel around episode 227 that there are bigger fish much bigger, and that the threats and obstacles in Luffy’s way are real.
"He has just a couple of moods and activities he's doing: eating, sleeping, or fighting."
You missed one thing very important that Luffy does. He's most of the time enjoying something - which is the central idea of One Piece.
Stop watching when you reach timeskip and start reading. End of story. No need to watch this video folks. Enjoy!
Honestly for anyone who's worried about the length I would say that there's no reason why you have to read it all in one go, it's fine to go slow. I actually think it works great at a slower pace, maybe one arc per month, especially in the beginning. Back when I started, I was reading one volume per month because that's how the Finnish translation was released (at first, it got a lot slower later on unfortunately)
... That said this is absolutely a trap, and almost everybody ends up binging anyway lmao
Thriller bark, you say? Oh, boy. Strap your belt tighter. This rollercoaster's loops are only begining.
Another one bites the dust~
And Luffy isn't particularly clever, but his emotional intelligence is second to none, and often his lack of cleverness leads to creatively direct solutions to problems
Thriller Bark is silly, but the ending is cool. You're still far off the truly crazy sh1t by some distance. But you're getting there slowly but surely. My fav anime remains Claymore tho, nothing is crazier.
im watching five episodes everyday im on episode 123 and im hooked i love it ❤
The meme holds true
I dont like op: havent watched it
Starts op: i fucking love it 😂
Welcome aboard Nakama! 🎉
sending this to my friends to get them to watch one piece
um it is tooo long🤓
Like that one guy once said
“2024 is your last chance to catch up to one piece”
i suggest watching One Pace instead, its a fan edit of original to have pacing more in line with manga (no fillers)
fillers are not bad early on, but last few arcs are horrendous
Btw next arc is my least favorite long arc in the show, but have one of the best moment in the entire show
Started it around April/May only finished Wano around the time this vid would've gone up.
Enjoy it! I think it is now the best show I have watched. Oda deserves all the awards.
Just so people know the whole how long the series runs for part is something that has been said from when the series had 400chapters
The funniest thing about starting One Piece is that you THINK the time consumption on your life is only going to be the one read/watch of it, but no. No no no no no. No. After you catch up, you're left hanging, waiting for the next chapter/episode. What to do in that time? Hm... oh look, a BAZILLION THEORY VIDEOS to consume your life with. And, oh, CHARACTER/HISTORY/ARC breakdowns? What's this, an AMV or five thousand?
And then you start trying to get your pals to watch/read it too, and they're resistant because who has the time, right? Enough people in your life are like "It can't be that good." so you start to second-guess yourself. Is it actually that good? You feel the need to look for validation, a second opinion.... so you start looking for other peoples' thoughts, and that leads to newbie reactions. And that leads to a rewatch/reread when they mention or notice something you didn't pick up the last time around, because you just have to get your facts right, right?
Congrats, welcome to the rabbit hole, make yourself at home because you're part of the ship, part of the crew, part of the cult. __THERE IS NO ESCAPE__
I just could not waste my time on 1000+ episodes so I read the colored manga. Started 7 months ago, 800 chapters in and it's by far the best thing I've ever read. If I read more I could have caught up but still I would've been way behind if I were watching the anime.
Welcome, brotha!
I just caught up reading. (I do a UA-cam read through with my son) I cannot believe I have run out of chapters. It’s too short.
Picked out the quote that will definitely get an update sometime in your future, can't wait for you to go through it! WELCOME TO THE CREW
Welcome to the crew. If youre onboard now just wait it gets soooooo much better further it goes along
One peak 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
I don’t see how people can complain about OP having 1000 episodes….Naruto have 720 and nobody complains about it. It’s not even that much, when you are enjoying OP the episodes go by like crazy
5:46 I was about to say for Luffy it's different because in one piece you have no freedom either be a pirate and experience freedom for the first time or accept the tyranny and be a peasant forever
But the way our society is degenerating I guess soon we will be in the same boat either rebel and fight the system and go crazy or accept a life of eternal poverty and stress
I've re-read this entire series like five times in a year two years ago. It's honestly not as long as people think it is... Manga wise.
One Piece hasnt gotten tiresome or boring to me even after 25+years..Heck even the most recent arcs are some of my favorites from the entire series.
New youtubers and the one piece fandom....name a more iconic duo.
Welcome!
Welcome nakama. After 60 episodes one piece is a good anime After 300 episodes one piece is the best anime of all time. And after 1,000 episodes you will feel that the One Piece story is too short.
W!
There isn't that much time anyway. One episode is maybe 25 minutes long. But 8-10 minutes of it is intro an "previously", and 2-4 minutes outro. You usually get 10-15 minutes out of am episode if you skip it.
If you watch 15 minutes times 1100 is 275 hours. 2-3 hours a day and it's only a few months
I’d recommend just reading it honestly
You’re only on 325? You better buckle up because it gets even better and even crazier, especially when you get to the latest two arcs.
Welcome to D family
I loved pre time skip but now struggling a lot with post time skip, hoping it picks up again though!
Welcome nakama!

Non fan : One Piece is too long.
Me : One Piece is not long enough. 😂
Brother you gotta double down and keep doing one piece videos. Your video is cooking 🔥
The reason why so many people are hesitant to watch One Piece is because the anime isn't a great adaptation.
One Piece currently should be at around 540 episodes instead of 1019 episodes. That's right, One Piece is about 479 episodes longer than it's supposed to be. This should help people understand how bad the pacing of the anime is.
Also, there's a ton of really stupid filler that's mixed into canon episodes.
I'd recommend One Pace or the manga.
I really think people also hate on one piece because its main stream and being hipster and edgy is cool.
