Automate basic flight tasks with Vizzy, the new visual programming system available in JNO version 0.8.400.
In this demo, I will create a program to execute the same instructions given in the Flight Tutorial to take the tutorial rocket from the launch pad to orbit.

This game has put my two favourite things into one: rocket science (thanks KSP) and programming. Fully automated interplanetary missions, prepare to be botched.
Well now SimpleRockets 2 should just be called "Rockets 2" now
I can guarantee that more people are going to using this to made stuffs other than auto launch/land procedure

My first program was a landing light that can only be activated in nighttime :D
And I'm an exception to your theory. I don't care about building. I like creating automated systems based on existing products. My goal here is to automate a Saturn 5 launch to lunar orbit and back to splashdown.

I can't believe this was added! I suggested this idk how long ago, on the suggestions page, so we could do Falcon-style automatic landings/launchings... amazing!
I just purchased it today. Had no idea I could block-program at all, much less the wonderful set of commands. I volunteer tutoring block-programming to elementary students.
I Love this Game! If you expect a beautiful, realistic and easy to Unterstand Game this is Perfect!
I would just Love to have more Planets and maybe some Science Equipment (Thermometer,Drill etc.)

I startup an Elementary School (3rd - 5th) 8 week " Mr. Toms Coding Club " next week.Third time doing this. We do Block-Programming. I shall be sending notes home with each member highly recommending the student be allowed to get this software.

Thanks for this, it made it really easy to figure out how Vizzy works by following this little demo! Super satisfying to have a craft automatically launch and orbit without touching the controls!
This is a great addition. Scripting an earth to orbit sequence, 1. Eliminates or minimizes user error. 2. It’s a guarantee to work and gives the user ultimate control of flight control and behavior. Fantastic addition. Learning curve on a 1-10 scale is probably a 5.5-6 but stick with it and it’ll become an invaluable, likely even necessary, to let you be able to shift focus to final heading and mission plan. Well done boys. This version of Simple Rockets is truly awesome. I’m hooked.

I imagine that this just gets translated to JavaScript syntax or something similar, there is probably an attribute file with your script saved in craft data.

Wish Simpleplanes have an interface like this for Overload/Funky Trees and make things easier for less experienced and/or lazy designers.

I absolutely love both simpleplanes and simlerockets2 updates!! Thank you for bringing us more content, but, remember that there still has a lot to be added to the game. This is a game about rockets and space, not coding with scratch blocks. Adding space stuff is a must!!! I do find this a very unique concept and gives the game an edge over Kerbal space program.

Looks amazing...... It would be great to have a optional scripting IDE...... This could make in game automation to a another level...... JS would be great for this...... It provides simple syntax.... This make people to get onto the world of programming...... Great work keep improving
JS is bad for this. It is interpreted. A compiled language would be more suitable. As the .Net compiler exists on all mono/.net installations C# would be a better choice as it would come without limitations.

Since each part can have its "set engine power to ___" node, can we have a "set servo motor to ___" instead of modifying a slider that affects the servo (so that you can’t affect it with inputs)

What language is this game written in?
sr2 is made in unity, which uses c#, this is unrelated to vizzy though
vizzy is based off of scratch

Sometimes,”Vizzy” doesn’t work on a downloaded craft because it might be an SSTO or the controls might be different.

This was very helpful and thank you, but I have a question. I programmed the drone core in my Falcon 9 booster to land itself, but whenever I switch to the crew dragon capsule to pilot it to orbit, the autopilot doesn’t carry out any of the actions and falls. Is there a fix to this?

Nice, in my experience the tutorial method of gravity turn is not the most fuel efficient way. If you play the challenge to get 100km periapsis with max 10kL fuel you'll know :D

Trying to automate booster landings. How can I have two command chips act independently
Ok. I have now automated a heavy launch to orbit. Orbits not perfect, but I figured out how to keep the boosters from crashing into the 1rst Stage. This is fun. (I am a retired tech and coder). As a Beta-Tester, I have tweaks already. Definitely need instruction on variables. No conditional function excepts variables. Only numbers. What use are they?
Figured It Out. Noticed in videos that variable names were green. Mine were not. Never noticed the 'Create Variable' button.

Ok but how do I make it do multiple commands at once. For example, an Atlas V’s boosters last for 90seconds, so how do I make it so it will follow a trajectory and have the boosters drop off after 93 seconds
