I got the Edge just for the "paddles" which I map to "stick down" because my favorite game uses both left & right "stick down" for two useful functions.
The dual sense edge has a different shape of handles it doesn't cut off and make the controller dig into my palms as much love the new pro controller btw
Stop falling to the fallacy wired = less latency. Sony has some killer Bluetooth tech and testing with a PC was done showing that wireless had a slight bit less latency than wired with the Dualshock 4 controller. Latency tests show the Dualsense has similar wireless latency. The only reason to play a modern PS controller wired is the battery is dying which imo, is a major downside with the Edge. Honestly, the Edge is a half engineered quick cash grab by Sony imo. It wouldn't have taken that much effort to extend the center of the backplate and retain full battery performance.
I think even though it only has 6 hours of battery that’s still enough for most people also considering the lock charger you can simply play with it plugged in even right after it has died
Modded my controller with gulikit TMR hall effect and using extremerate latest mods. Tacktile clicky buttons + R1L1 clicky, back button remap and switch for L2 /R2 like this controller all for less than $100. About the wired latency. Bluetooth will be faster than wired! I recommend (and have used for a long while) that you use a phone charger while playing, and letting to controller work over bluetooth, this way you dont get random disconnects if the cable looses connection for .2 of second (less of an issue if you have this cable lock) and you still get the benefit of low latency and charging.
