This controller is AMAZING! Just got it today and I play COD super competitively . I tried the Scuf RefleX FPS last month it broke in 1 week, absolute TRASH build quality, trigger broke and the paddles are disgusting. Edge is #1 even with slightly too long short triggers, just click faster problem solved you absolutely do not need mouse click triggers.
What joy stick settings do you use for cod and fortnite ? The one he mentions in video quick and precise ?
@@McClutchin941 I play on PC so cant use. But I believe default is always the way then adjust in game settings like aim assist type. You naturally adjust regardless so it’s probably not needed to change stick type.
You can make the triggers like mouse click by adjusting the sensitivity of them and having them on short mode

@ZxRiGxZ yes m8 in the settings for dualsense edge you can set the triggers so if you literally touch them they aim or shoot

Why can’t you adjust the volume of the official PlayStation wireless headset using the fn button? Seems a bit of an oversight.
Why aren't the stick sensitivity curve options available for the standard controller? So they can sell you this for almost half the price of a console I assume.

So I’ve been sent it since this came out and it’s strange I play apex mainly and my original ps5 controller has stronger aim assist than my Edge, have you noticed any difference?

You guys must handle the bubbling issue on the controller. Seen multiple issues online with people having this issue. Its a great controller but its expensive. Shouldnt have the controller service unnaturally degrading.

Please add the ability to adjust the dead zone negatively, e.g., -5% instead of 5%. Some games have a default big dead zone, making the aiming laggy and hard. The user could customize these settings if the Edge adds this setting.
Bro, how?!?! What you said is impossible to achieve, you can't magicaly outwrite every in-game settings with controller software...

You don't need to overwrite any game settings at all. Increasing the dead zone by the edge controller is now possible by the controller software; they can also easily decrease the dead zone by ignoring part of the x and y coordination and jumping to a higher number. For example, imagine a game with a default 5% dead zone that cannot be changed. This means the game will ignore any input from the controller in the range of x:0 to x:+-5 and y:0 to y:-+5.
With this setting, stick movement will start from +-5 instead of 0. So the user could increase or decrease the game dead zone without overwriting the game settings.@@dzonymielony5

Edge woud be phenomenal if the ingame settings were built around it. If there are bad deadzone and sensitivity settings ingame, the Edge can do nothing about it...Best example is Destiny 2

I dont know whos idea was the precise settings on the right stick in Apex legends but that is messed up. I tested it, Practiced with it and it is terrible. Now i have to relearn my old settings.....

Leave the stick sensitivity at default for everygame. Software calculations will effect your experience negatively. Precise curve will be too slow for Fortnite. Dualsense edge's analog sticks have a pretty standard build quality and there is no tension adjustment at all. Imo its a semi pro controller for this. To be precise stick tension must be low. Otherwise it is difficult to make circular movements and the controller is prone to horizontal and vertical movements.

I always set my dead zone to zero no matter what. It’s just better in my opinion.

The back buttons inside the controller are plastic, had mine for a little over a month and the right side broke. Now Sony wants me to pay 25$ to send it in for repair

I love it and hate it. Great to use but I've already had to buy a total of 4 replacement thumb sticks due to massive drift, sadly I am having to buy another one already because this one fails so often, I need a backup. I even tried to return it but because I customized it, no warranty apparently. Functionality is awesome tho
Dawg I play ALOT and have not had to replace them yet, I suggest going into the controller profile and adjusting the deadzone for each stick since you can see in real time how bad it is. I play around with the stick until I see no blue on the response curve line so Mine are set to 5% each stick
But I’m also not sure when the right time to replace them. I’ve been trying to ask around and see at what point people would replace theirs, like is 5% deadzone too high? Lmk

i personally find it sad that you arent able to use the back buttons for a completely new function like calling them the L4 and R4 buttons... otherwise you always need to use already existing buttons for them

Not worth the money. I got one and the little extras really are not worth the price. The shorter trigger pull was the main reason i got it but even on the shortest there is still to much. When firing a single shot weapon you can tap it just as quick on a normal controller. I don't understand why they don't just create that funtion with the haptic feedback. They could so easly make an app where you set your own trigger profile but they want to sell you this and they do a bad job at it. The battery life is also much shorter then that of a normal controller. The travel case you get with it is pretty good tho if you often need to put a controller in your backpack.

2 buttons? Sony lately makes things imperfect to sell another one, the upgrades that's simple cheap and really important to gamers. Sony used to be really proud When they product psp, move controller, vita 😢. It's like sharing with dishonorable people or becoming really dishonorable

I love this controller, but I’m really not happy with Sony. My controllers back right button broke within the first month of gaming with it. Heard a snap when I went to hit reload and it doesn’t work now. Tried to use the Sony warranty and was told it wasn’t part of the warranty options. So I’m dealing with it and now I’m on month 2 of this controller and am experiencing stick drift, squeaky buttons, and sticky buttons. $250 controller that can’t even handle a month of gaming.
I've had mine since release. No stick drift plus people squeeze or press way to hard

I am sorry, but this controller is not a pro controller & it’s not good for FPS or Battle Royale games, Special for Apex Legends, Fortnite & Call of Duty too, I actually play only Apex & COD. My Son’s plays Fortnite also.
The Pro Controller means it must have 4 back buttons “(Paddles)” to remapping the (Jump, Crouch/Slide, Interact/Reload and Cycle/Switch Weapons).
I bought this Edge controller on April 15, 2023, Say 5 months & half now, I like the software a lot. This is the biggest Pros for this controller + The changeable stick.
- But the Cons:
1. Only 2 Back Paddles “Buttons”.
2. The rubber grips peeling off/out. OMG on both sides, they peel off a lot, it’s just 5 months. I saw on Reddit that more people have this issue too, This is the worst material design from PlayStation for a controller with this price. and finally I saw 1 short video on UA-cam talking about this issue too. I feel crazy while I am playing and these rubber grips stuck between my fingers.
3. The Battery lifetime, Anyway i prefer to use a USB cable while I am playing any FPS games.
4. I can’t remap the Toggle Menu button in the Edge software. As I wrote before, I play only Apex and COD. Actually I was playing COD a lot & I moved to play Apex on August, In Apex the Inventory “Backpack” Button set to the (Toggle Menu) only & I cannot change or customize it in the game settings), The position for Toggle Menu button is far away from the analogous sticks & It’s hard to reach it fast while you’re playing.
At the end: this is my message to @playstaion, Me and my Sons playing games only on PlayStation Consoles for many years. We don’t like to buy any 3rd party controllers, even if they have your PS logo on the brand.
Please we need a real Pro controller with 4 back Paddles ASAP. And hope we will see an update for the software to remap any buttons on the controller.
I am really sad because one of my sons asked me to buy him a Xbox console & the Xbox elite series 2 controller to play Apex & Fortnite because he doesn’t like this Edge controller.

The white rubber on the controller turns yellow very quickly and there’s no way to clean it. This is one of the worse controller I have ever used and it’s also one of the most expensive ones

Playing via usb/wired connection is better anyways so if you do that then battery life won’t be an issue. But I do agree that it shouldn’t be that bad

What’s helped me is in the controller setting turn off the lights and turn of vibration and when in game it makes it last a lot more . It’s dope to have them on but it seems to drain the battery 🪫

I bought a new pro edge controller from Walmart, then switched it out for my old one. And returned the old one and I have a few new controller now. Since they wanna fk around...

This controller is trash!!! Not worth $200!! I've had mine since launch and I don't play as much as I use to since I have a full time job, the rubber peeled off the right handle and my right joystick already has drift. I've been using the site to try and get it repaired for 2 months and have sent in 6 or more tickets but I've had NO contact what so ever. I called Sony and can't get to a real person to figure it out.. DONT BUY THIS TRASH
