Thanks Glen - this video is my gospel for chipping and has transformed my short game! Whenever I’m asked what changed, I send them this video “are you the best golfer you can be?” 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Thanks heaps!
Wow Leon! That’s so nice to hear - that you for your great comments! Super inspiring for us to hear that we have helped you with your short game so much. It’s exactly why we do what we do. 👏🙏👏

Thanks Glen. These are the money shots. I reckon the difference between me (a 12 handicapper) and the low handicappers is that they tend to get up and down from these positions whereas I could easily take 4 shots to get down from there. Great video again 👍
Always a tricky one Peter. Here’s a video on chipping into grain, we recorded a while ago: Chipping Into the Grain ua-cam.com/video/g-9Yd-9ZKoc/v-deo.html
Ball position typically should be middle to slightly forward, depending upon the lie and desired angle of approach. Uphill lie - more forward. Downhill lie - more back. Cheers Glen
Great video, really enjoyed this and will try this technique next time I play. I struggle how to play a chip of real fluffy lies, like you would find under trees, I can never seem to get good contact on the ball and my club just slips under the ball, would love to see a video on how you approach this shot. Thanks Glen
@@AussieGolfPros Hi Glen, thanks for your reply. The club I am normally using is my pitching wedge, which probably explains why the club is going under the ball.
Hi Trevor, pitching wedge shouldn’t slide under. What I believe is happening is the same as when I tried the shot with a pitching wedge in the video - I trapped too much grass between the club and the golf ball, losing energy. Try the sand wedge with a slightly open clubface and a longer, positive swing.
Seems so easy when you guys do it! Commitment is a big issue for me on these, I'm scared of sculling it off the green and usually end up decelerating and duffing it about five feet.
Thanks for checking in Tony. With commitment being your issue, focus on making the backswing and followthrough the same length and hold your finish for 3 seconds. Hope this helps. 👊

Thanks for your feedback Steve. It might be time for you to put that plan in place mate. Everyone can improve their short game!
Like the approach. Coaching info not a load of unnecessary waffle.

Glad you liked it Gary. Thanks
Another Great Video Glen, well demonstrated and explained.
Cheers
Joe.
Cheers Joe. 👌
Great video Glen. I like your pitching wedge getting the ball rolling rather than going for a higher lofted lob wedge.
Thank you John. Versatility is key. We need to be able to play either shot depending upon the situation. 🙏
Love it
Thanks Len! 👍
such a great technique, I like this video!
Thanks for watching Jay. 🙏
How do you manage grain growing backward into the club?

Great video Glenn, Where do you recommend the ball position to be or does it vary with each club ?

Thanks for reaching out Trevor. We look forward to hearing how you get on.
What loft are you using for those ‘fluffy’ lies?
