Ferrari 360 - Can I get it to pass state inspection?

- My cheap Ferrari 360 Modena gets prepped for state inspection. Will new oxygen sensors, mass air flow sensors and spark plugs help it run correctly so it can pass state inspection?

I think Bosch has the answers to a lot of Ferrari issues for a reasonable price. Seems that way at least

So interesting watching you do these little procedures. I’ve got a 2001 360 spider, but mechanically I’m useless, so I’m at the mercy of mechanics. Keep it up!
holy shit.. I have had a simular issue with my 360 for 2 years.. I assumed it was dodgy MAF's, cleaned them with no differance. Will be replaceing them both now thankyou.
Hope they help. I ordered the Bosch part numbers for around $100 a side. It was a completely different car after changing them. Recommend turning the battery main switch off while replacing them so the computers reset.

Very nice! I like how you let us follow along as you trouble shot the problem. I was surprised that it was the MAF(s). I have no experience with Ferrari's but when a BMW has a problem pointing to a MAF, it's usually something else like a vacuum leak. The Foxwell scanner intrigues me; which model is it? Will it actuate the ABS when bleeding brakes? Will it bleed the F1 transmission? Finally....the rattling sound from the rear of the 360: is that from the exhaust bypass valve?
Thanks so much! I have the NT530 scanner. It’s very useful on the 911 but unfortunately it is much more limited on this car so I can’t access the TCU with it. The rattling turned out to just be a missing bolt on the muffler bracket. Don’t tell anyone I used a bmw but and bolt to fix it, haha.

Which Foxwell model do you use?
I have the 530. It’s useful, but has limited functions with the 360. For Porsche and BMW, it’s great.
What were the short trim values after replacing the maf sensors? Im having the same problem. Runs negative 23. Thank you
I do not remember the specific numbers but remember they were wildly unbalanced. The MAFs are pretty cheap if you look up the Bosch part number. I believe I paid around 100 per maf at the time so I’d go ahead and change yours if you’re getting bad readings. Also recommend doing plugs and o2 sensors at the same time. @@y2ksierra I cleaned the MAF sensors and didn't help at all. The car starts fine and then it goes to this gurgling almost sound. The idle doesn't move much. 🤷🏻♂️
@@Mymodena_360 I originally tried cleaning mine as well but it didn’t help. I could reset the DME and it would run ok for a bit but would quickly go back to running extremely poorly.
Which codes are being thrown in your case? Mine were random misfire codes.
@@y2ksierra There are no codes at all. Just refilled the tank and drove for 20 minutes. Still a slight misfire. At least it seems like it. It's this weird gurgling noise at cold start that I can't figure out. I guess Ferrari hahah
