I’m glad I watched this video before starting my journey, this vid convinced me on the type of method to start with. I’ve watched a lot of videos but this is the most convincing 😌😌😌 I love your personality btw. New subscriber here✨🤸🏽♂️
Soo glad thiss video helped you with your journey. I feel like the journey really starts when you decide that you're going to do it, becasue that's when you put yourself in the mindset. Thank you for the sub, welcome to the community!
Thank you for telling me this: But since I’m growing my Afro out, I’ll be getting the two strand twist method for my hair, and since you told me all about the convenience, maintenance, and look of how it all comes together makes me want to get them even more, but again thank you for telling me because now I have more research to do. Besides you look really beautiful with your 2 strand twists 😁
So glad you enjoyed the vid! Also glad you decided on the two strand twists method. I also think that’s a great way to start. And thank you so much for your compliments and support! ❤️🙏🏾
Thank you for your comment and compliment! Nowadays, I don’t re-twist at all. I will either put my locs in two strand twists after washing and separating the roots, or leave my hair alone to air dry after separating the roots.
My loc parting is bad but ughh my hair always loc and I don’t want to take my started loc out because they been in two months and it’s already super loc.
In the first few months your locs do shrink a bit. However, when you get past a certain amount of months having locs they grow longer. Thanks for your question!
New subscriber!!! Loved your video it was very informative. I am also documenting my loc journey on my UA-cam channel. I will mark a year in October 👏🏾👏🏾😍
@@holisticflo my hair medium I say not to long and short it to my neck but the back is very short will it mature faster I’m thinking getting instant locs with the machine but I’ve hair you loses hair
@@rophnaicadesruisseaux8950 with instant locs it takes a lot of patience. Sometimes, people arent careful and they rush it, so it could possibly cause breakage but in many cases it doesnt
I would personally recommend either comb coils or two strand twists but then again it all depends on the look you’re going for as well. If you want them to be uniform i would recommend comb coils but if you want them to be not as uniform i would go with twists

Do coils coming shrink your hair how long does it takes to loc
Yes they do. And it depends. Id say about 8 or 9 months to mature. Starting locs on shorter hair locs them faster
