Okay I'm convinced!! I'm doing it, I always wear my hair in two strand twists because dealing with natural hair is effort but I'm starting my loc journey 😁 Your locs are gorgeous.😊😊 you have a new subscriber!!! 😁😁
Love to see more two strand people. Wanted locs and it was the easiest start. Just redid my hair last week since the friend who initially did it didn’t part and section properly. Now to wait
Lol yess! I love talking about locs but also how that relates to spirituality self growth, loving and accepting yourself...to me, everything is a journey and I hope to share that with all who chose to watch. Thank you ❤️
Thank you! Happy 6 months, my actual 6 month anniversary is tomorrow (the 14th of every month). You should definitely post more videos, people love content like this!
I love your lock journey! I'm less than a year and do interlock my root for a cleaner look but overall love the transition. It's a beautiful thing!! Stay blessed
I loved watching your journey 😍! I’m going to loc my hair in January, it should be tailbone by then, and I’m trying to get as much information as I can before then! Yours are absolutely LOVELY 🥰! Thanks for sharing ❤️!
Hey hey! Starting my loc journey in the morning and couldn’t decide which method to use... You’ve definitely won me over with the 2 strand 😍😍❤️!. #hairgoals

Thank you! 🙌🏾 it was a random thing that I decided that just stuck lol. And you could definitely do it in the front. And bring it out with a cowrie shell or bead that would be dope
I’ve watched a lot of loc videos and by far I like yours because you take your time section by section and one loc at a time with close ups. I’m getting something from various videos but I loved watching yours . I know this is 4 months ago so hopefully you will reply. Did you wash your hair prior to your 1.5 month re-twist? It look so thick so I’m wondering if that contributed to the thickness of the new growth? I love your hair. A must save video
Hi thanks for your comment! I'm so glad you enjoy the loc vids! I did wash my hair prior to that re-twists. Having clean hair helps greatly because for me, it frees the scalp from a lot of build up that could be clogging the pores
I'm starting my loc journey tomorrow with two strand twists, and anytime I twist my hair the twist never stays in. Any tips you can provide, especially on how to make sure it doesn't unravel? P.S I love your locs, they're so beautiful 🥰❤️
Congrats on starting with your loc journey! If you absolutely wanna start with twists you can even if they keep falling out keep putting the twists back in. I would try using less product actually because it can make the hair less slippery so they won’t slide out as easily. However, when you’re locing your hair, you’re training your hair to stay in that form. So your hair probably isn’t used to the twists so just keep twisting back up and eventually your hair will get the memo lol And thanks for the compliment 🫶🏾
I hadn't realized I've been loc'd for almost 4 months now. I did have to fix them like 3 times due to weird sizing but they're budding and frizzing so much 😭 I lowkey hate the frizz
I’m confused I’m trying to let my hair loc in two strand twist but when you retwist it you don’t untwist n twist them back right? u just twist the roots n let the rest be ?
Both my sons 9 and 19 want locs, so here iam watching video's and investigating, cus ain't no wayyyy imma pay somebody 500 to do them, I'll get the combs, picks, gel w.e necessary and do them myself need be🤷🏽♀️
The original song is called Levitating by Invention_ and I sped it up and put some background sounds so I wouldn’t get a copyright strike lol. And congrats on starting your new journey! 🙌🏾
Hello. And I would wash my hair in sections. So I wouldn’t have it out loose. I would put it in 4 sections and band it with those black goodie hair ties. I believe I did that for the first two months. After that, my hair started to loc up and no longer needed to wash it in sections
I’ll be 6 months loc’d on March 22nd. I loved watching this! Makes me so excited to retwist my hair next week. For anyone contemplating… start the journey! One of the best decisions I’ve made.😌🫶🏾
wait...so you started with 2 strands and never took em out. instead you re-twisted the new growth while keeping the 2 strands intact? eventually the 2 strands turned into a single loc?
I’ve come back to ask a question if u don’t mind. So I have a loose twist in the back of my head do I retwist it or leave it alone? Bc im freaking out lol
Honestly I couldn’t tell you when you should because I don’t know you hair like you do so I can’t tell you for sure. But if you’re 2 or 3 months in with starter locs, I will recommend washing once a month, after that I recommend more frequently maybe every 3 weeks or 2 weeks whatever feels best to you
Throughout the first 3 months, I washed my hair once per month. At the fourth month mark, that’s when I started consistently washing my hair every two weeks. My locs are now 14 months and I still consistently wash the every 2 weeks
There’s plenty of people with thinner hair strands and/or less dense hair and from my observation, they usually make their locs a lot smaller so they’ll have at least 200 locs in their head that way your hair will be more spread out into more sections and create the illusion that you have more hair. I think anyone looks good with locs! Its all up to what you wanna do at the end and how you wanna rock them
Less manipulation or touching your hair (if any at all) and unraveling is natural during the beginning stages, keep twisting/coiling it back until the hair is trained to stay in place
Throughout the first 5 months I had my locs, I retwisted them 4 times and I did them myself. After the month of May, I stopped re-twisting and decided to semi-freeform my locs which means no re-twist but just separating my roots everytime I wash so they don't marry at the root
Only if your twists are unraveling, you will want to re-two-strand-twist your locs so you can train the hair to loc...if that's what you mean. I hope I answered the question.
Your locs look amazing! I'm on the same journey with my 4c hair. What oil do you put on your hair? I'm almost at 4 months. I get my 2nd retwist on the 24th of June. Seeing your video is encouraging. ❤

Im so in love with the texture you get from starting with 2 strand twists
Thank you!
It’s the texture for me 😍😍😍. Absolutely beautiful and inspiring. I’m five months in. I finally feel like I can wait 6 weeks for a retwist too.
Thank you! ❤ Waiting longer in between re-twists is one of the most challenging in my opinion lol. But you definitely got it
I’ve been looking for a UA-camr with locs that’s doesn’t install faux locs or wear wigs. I will stick with you. PS you offer holistic advices-bonus 😊

Yea frizz is soo prevelant within the first few months. Hang in there!
I noticed a major shrinkage in mine and it’s only been one month I think I’m in budding stage
Yes it could possibly be
I’m confused I’m trying to let my hair loc in two strand twist but when you retwist it you don’t untwist n twist them back right? u just twist the roots n let the rest be ?
When you do a re-twist for maintenance, you would simply twist up the roots of the hair and let the hair lov
I've had mine for nearly 3 months in comb coils, 108 of them with a hightop, I always considered combing them out but this video inspired me not to 😮
Yess so glad my vid inspired that and you're keeping your baby locs! 🥲
Very nice 👌 👍 😊 👏

i wanna start my starter locs. so with the parting, did u part them perfectly or?
I tried to make my parts as clean as possible, but I didn’t measure them or anything
hola ! how did you prevent your twists from unraveling when you washed the first time ?
Hello. And I would wash my hair in sections. So I wouldn’t have it out loose. I would put it in 4 sections and band it with those black goodie hair ties. I believe I did that for the first two months. After that, my hair started to loc up and no longer needed to wash it in sections

wait...so you started with 2 strands and never took em out. instead you re-twisted the new growth while keeping the 2 strands intact? eventually the 2 strands turned into a single loc?
Yes that's correct.
2 months and 3 weeks 🔒
Congrats on your journey!
I’ve come back to ask a question if u don’t mind. So I have a loose twist in the back of my head do I retwist it or leave it alone? Bc im freaking out lol
You can twist it back up it may not loc at the same rate but it will learn to stay eventually
i like your locks but i am curious should i wash my hair every 2 weeks or month
Honestly I couldn’t tell you when you should because I don’t know you hair like you do so I can’t tell you for sure. But if you’re 2 or 3 months in with starter locs, I will recommend washing once a month, after that I recommend more frequently maybe every 3 weeks or 2 weeks whatever feels best to you

Throughout the first 3 months, I washed my hair once per month. At the fourth month mark, that’s when I started consistently washing my hair every two weeks. My locs are now 14 months and I still consistently wash the every 2 weeks
When you get two strand do you just leave them to lock up or can you take them out and let each strand loc individually?
I leave the two strand twists in to loc on their own
I want to start my own ourney but I'm hesitant because everyone says it won't look good because my hair is on the thinner side.
There’s plenty of people with thinner hair strands and/or less dense hair and from my observation, they usually make their locs a lot smaller so they’ll have at least 200 locs in their head that way your hair will be more spread out into more sections and create the illusion that you have more hair.

I just made 5 months wit my locs 🥳
Congrats on 5 months!!
beautiful locs! how many do you have total
Thank you! and I have 74
Beautiful so u never took them dwn?
Thank you, and no I just left them as is.
Do u interlock or jus palm roll re twist?
I have never interlocked. I usually palm roll.
What can I do to prevent unraveling I’m experiencing it
Less manipulation or touching your hair (if any at all) and unraveling is natural during the beginning stages, keep twisting/coiling it back until the hair is trained to stay in place
Frizzzzz 😍😍😍
Ikr! I love it thanks 💕
Did you get any retwists?

Do you have a loc count video?
I do not, but I can make one.
How many locs do u have plz?
I have 74
@@holisticflo thanx a bunch
How many twist are there
I have 74
Similar hair textures
This how I want mind
what does buddiong mean?
It means the places where your hair starts to mature first
Loc count video
I can definitely film one
🔥
For the retwist do I have to redo my 2 strand twist?
Only if your twists are unraveling, you will want to re-two-strand-twist your locs so you can train the hair to loc...if that's what you mean. I hope I answered the question.
💪😎👌
The hanging loc jewelry on the back😭 where from sis
I got both the beads and the shells from my local beauty supply store!
What did you do to keep them moist in the? They’re so bouncy in the beginning
