Hi nick, soon I will be buying a 63 120 . Really look forward to the real bike feeling again .had 600 in early 80s always regret selling . Will follow eny advice given on Panther knowledge you have .regards Tim
It’s THAT time of year! The snow’s starting to melt, the first whiff of Spring, the sky’s a bit hazy, and the Sun’s getting stronger. Last year you posted a vid’ of your 750S out for a start of season ride up county road 10 to Westport. The HUGE amount of snow we got in Ottawa last year meant I wouldn’t get out for another month. But it was so good to see you out on my favourite roads. This year looks a lot better. I may be out in March!
Hi Irvin, I was out riding yesterday and again, briefly today. There was a bit too much ice on the road this morning from yesterday's melt for my tastes, but spring is just around the corner. Stay sane. Ride safely.
Very cool and I'm sure it feels good to at least get the bikes out! Looks like you at least got some snow up North - down in the Philadelphia suburbs, we only had a few dustings this year - been a very mild Winter. Hoping to get out on the Scrambler a bit this afternoon. Thanks for sharing! EW :)
Dear Nick: Why don't Panther owners fit an oil pump instead of relying upon "splash" to lube the engine? It sure does LOOK Great, sounds good, too. What happened to the '74 Nuovo Falcone you road around on in some videos. I hear Falcones can be bored & stroked to 600, maybe 700cc. Do you know anyone who has done that?
Hi jack - The big Panthers have a very effective oil pump inside the timing case on the right side of the engine. The problem is never with oil supply and lubrication - the system has been working well since the 1930s - the problem (with some bikes), is 'over-oiling' - too much oil supply to the top half of the engine. I sold the Nuovo Falcone last year. Great bike. I believe they can be bored out to about 600 without going too deep into the steel cylinder liner. It has been done. They have even been supercharged. But why? If you want a faster, more powerful bike, buy one. The NF is what it is. To alter it would be to spoil it's essential nature and character.
@@nick949eldo Then the Nuovo is just to relax-on and putt-around? New thought --I must've mis-read all those Classic Bike Guide road-tests. -- 'thought the "Big Kitty" was splash-lubed [--like a Hudson Straight-8;- ]. I've always LOVED Big Kittys because of the looks and the SOUND. If you get tired of it, give me a ring @6234448046. I know this sounds crazy [ due to the extra-weight, and all, but I think dual-port singles are SO HOT! IMAGINE How GREAT a "Goldie" would look dual-ported, and BSA had some kinked, high side-pipes for one of their twins, that would've been Perfect! Royal Enfield had some "dualies" on its 1st Bullets in '48, AND...when the Indian Bullets were starting-up], but no-one continues dual-ports. I'm inconsistant, for I always viewed the "upstairs muffler" on the NF as "stupid-looking". WHY didn't the EYE-ties "dual-port" the NF, and then they could've hung a pipe & a Can on each side? How much is your channel? EVERYBODY wants you to sub per month. Is that from youtube "demonitizing" those they USED to support? I feel they should be SHUT-down/be forced to sell, if they can't keep paying for the numbers of "hits" like they used to, because they're going to want you to 'buy-in" to their gruesome Globalist plans. I guess we can take-up Vaping without the "Nicotine", because the "EYES that BE" can't watch vap-ers as well as they can watch the Rest of us..
Nice, something about how old Brit bikes sound, very meaty and masculine.
Thanks nick looking forward to my sedate riding 😀👍

Hi Tim, I'm not expert. There are plenty on the Facebook Panther Owners page, and at the Panther Owners Club though. Good luck and safe riding.
Awesome! You make the start up procedure look easy. Sounds real good Nick.

Hi Nick...we're heading to 7°c tomorrow: time to pull out my '99 Cali EV11...got to dodge the sand/salt, tho! Love the Panther: great sound☺

Thanks Ernst. It's above freezing today. About a foot of very compacted snow. We're not done yet though.....
Lovely. Not for long if you ride it in the salt though.
superb
