- Protesters at Columbia University broke windows at the Manhattan campus’ Hamilton Hall early Tuesday, hours after the school began suspending students who defied a deadline to leave a pro-Palestinian camp set up to protest the war in Gaza. The Morning Joe panel, including the ADL's Jonathan Greenblatt, join Morning Joe to discuss.

There is a big difference between right, wrong, prevention and compromise. Humas started the war. The Palestinians chose Humas to represent them politically. The Palestinians have been complicit in hiding Humas and their weapons. Palestinians can stop the war by having hostages returned and Humas surrenders. Humas knows they can win the sympathy of uninformed groups by simply sacrificing their own people. Who's really wrong here. Supporting Humas is simply foolish. Humas needs to stop killing its own population. Why should Israel stop trying to remove terrorist preventing them from attacking in the future. Dropping aid into a war zone is prolonging the war and will result in thousands more dead. More pressure and less aid has to be put on the Palestinians to force hostage release and Humas to surrender. This has been a massive mistake on the part of the Palestinians. All the lives lost, nothing accomplished. Why is the world expected to aid this hopeless war. The only reason the university presidents are having “difficulties” deciding what to do is that they don’t want to offend anyone or “be on the wrong side of history.” The decision is easy, enforce the law. The 99% of students who aren’t involved shouldn’t have to suffer because you’re protecting the 1% who are causing anarchy.
Is there not a constitutional right to protest in America? Was that not what the civil rights movement was? Was that not what was going on at the shot heard round the world?
