    This song still gives me chills. That intro riff is definitely a top 10 notable along with others from Periphery, Architects, ERRA, and TesseracT.
    Sad about losing the vocalist in this era of Novelists.

    I realize that at 51 years of age, I'll likely never be able to play the way Florestan does. But as long as we have Florestan to do it for us, that's okay.

    Wow. I fell in love with this band instantly after hearing that opening riff. Then when the breakdown came in, it was pure juice. BUT OH WAIT, the solo literally dropped my jaw. All the elements and aspects I'm looking for in a good metal band. My mind is blown. I've been digging deep into progressive stuff this year, and I'm so glad I found this band. Gonna learn this song on guitar next. Hope to see them live some day even though they aren't super big.

    • @moritzunnerstall3992
      @moritzunnerstall3992 6 років тому

      Robert Lucero are you sure thats 10-52? When i tune to drop c with that string gauge it feels kinda wobbly... I would say thicker strings

    • @robertlucero7644
      @robertlucero7644 6 років тому

      Moritz Unnerstall yeah, it's what their gear page said online. It might be because of the tremolo system to help with tuning stability or just preference. I played drop c in 10-52 for almost 8 years before I realized how much more amazing 11-56 felt and sounded. 10-52 just seemed like the logical jump from 9-46 in standard to me at first lol.

    • @hispanicwithaguitarwhy4118
      @hispanicwithaguitarwhy4118 8 років тому

      It may be a typical metalcore setting.
      Bass - 6/7
      Mid - 5
      Treble - 9/10
      Gain - 7/8

    • @shogunc7718
      @shogunc7718 7 років тому +2

      Jose Santiago gain probably wouldn't be that high. more than likely lower gain crunch + an OD acting as a boost to tighten up the tone.

    • @hispanicwithaguitarwhy4118
      @hispanicwithaguitarwhy4118 7 років тому

      True that. I recently got a Ibanez tube screamer mini and it's so much better than cranking up the gain on the amp.
