The riff at 0:17 is just mesmerizing. As a huge fan of Erra, I've got to say I can listen to this on repeat all day.
Wow. I am shocked. Nice to find another good progressive metal band. I'm really surprised I've never heard of these guys. Really loving that opening riff. Good quality song for an underrated band.

These guys are amazing. I love the clean vocals. The guitar is fantastic as well. It's so nice to see a band that is this good in this day and age. They are so refreshing.

Tyler Fraser as in as soon as i heard the song start, without even seeing a label/name, i recognized who it was. in other words, their music is defining enough to be recognized only as them. 'their sound'
@@Swansen03the melodic riffs really do stand out. It's very late 80's/early 90's type of feel, but made thoroughly modern.

Wow, Novelists IS the band to look out for in 2014. These guys are going to huge. Their material is so fucking good. All of the singles they've released are amazing.

Found out about these guys six years ago. They've been my absolute favorite ever since. I do miss Matteo, though. He's maybe the best studio vocalist in music.
the combination and the way how the instruments cooperate in this song is absolutely outstanding, everything fits perfect together
this song is a perfect example for building a bridge between complexity of every single part of a song and the song as a whole big thing on its own, really really great stuff!
When I think of Novelists I just think of clean production and delivery just an all around smooth band

It's sad that a song like this is only heard in the background of a montage showcasing a game that will be phased out in a year. It's even worse that the comments are filled with people discussing said game as if it actually matters. This is a fantastic song, and the band has other tracks that are worth a listen.

I sometimes like a song straight away, but other times it may take a while for me to like. This is a song that will take me a while to like. It just doesn't satisfy the way 'Twenty Years' or 'Heartfelt' does.

i game here from Agony, and i fell inlove with Novelists, im a HUGE Post-Hardcore fan and i listen to rap too, i dont say"Agony sent me" or whatever, BUT i do love this band, and ive looked into them myself! so yeah, we are NOT all 12 year old rap fanboys :)

Well, welcome to the Prog Metal scene. Honestly, I hate post-hardcore, not because of their fashion (like most people) but because bands like Novelists don't get the attention they deserve, and instead, people go to post-hardcore and think they're so brutal.
WhatTheFookiz I'd say Sworn In is more prog metal. I'd consider this post hardcore, it's really not that progressive
