Kodak did have a black and white film called Recording film in about 1970 with ASA 1600 for low light photography so you didn’t have to use a flash. It produced a lot of grain.
The Superia 1600 is way too overpriced online for my budget but I'm still chasing a good deal on some rolls. In my experience Fuji's expired films hold up better than Kodak's, which got me thinking that maybe they always used more "expensive" formulas in general than the competition.
For how confusing you say it was, you got some awesome shots. I've had a Natura roll lying around for a year or two, maybe it's time to use it on my commute through Shibuya sometime...
I’ve had two rolls in the freezer ever since I brought them back from Osaka in 2017 😅 I shot one not long after returning to the UK but have not touched the others since
Ive never seen a video of this channel, I dont use film. I was just looking arround for videos of fuji since Im thinking of buying an xh1. But wow that was a good video, really chill and those shots were great. Guess I'll leave a sub :^)
Yes! You are exactly correct and I've shot it myself. Since I shoot mostly expired film I realize that Fuji's films hold up much better because expired Ektapress 1600 have not produced results like this for me. Unfortunately I still have a few rolls left and I'm not motivated to use them lol. Also I've been trying to get my hands on some Superia 1600 on ebay for a while now but they sell for too high of a price or a bundle that is out of my budget. They sell quickly though
@@boondoc001 Hopefully, some brands will start to look at the profitable niche these films are in and produce some similar things at lower prices. Would love to see some new APS format films coming out, there are so many incredible cameras out that could be used creatively.
@@zand that would be great if it's possible. I'm glad you mentioned APS, I have a few cameras that can use some fresh film instead of the expired im using now
Hey man....I love everything about your video and the music choice is so suitable. Great job ! I am so enthusiast that I have decided to even follow you !
Okay I've watched everyone of your videos and this ones my favourite. I'm here for the mic hugging photography chef kissing love affair going on. I don't think I knew about that. Oh and its an actual video sparse on opinion/gear review but peppered with getting out there and taking frames? Sign me up.
Your juvenile, nay flippant description of your work belies the talent you have. I implore you to take things a tad more serious if you expect us to at all.

Haven't been to NY for about 10 years. I'm longing for it so badly!
Been going in on your stuff lately. Love to see it/keep it coming!
Enjoyed this one Chris! Beautiful intro and cool education about these film stocks! 🙌
thank you, man!! we're almost done with the "photography review era" of this channel, so I'm glad one of the last ones is doing well :)
Kodak did have higher iso color films and there was the Kodak Ektapress Gold 1600

I'm not gonna comment on the Lorem Ipsum again. I'll just say that these shots were so good man! Really enjoyed the overall pacing of the video

"Oh no, I've been spotted"
