And yet here iam wondering... Why doesnt everyone use Stride instead of Godot?
Same license, free and open source, except Stride is more feature rich, technologically more advanced and performs far better overall.

Stride arrived a little bit late to the open source platform, by then Godot had something like 10+ years as an open source software. Of which by then it had built a decent community, learning resources, alot of games had been made in Godot and all this has an effect of pulling in new users. Stride needs to bridge this gap. I think once some games start shipping with Stride people can start using it a little bit more.

      From what I can see:
      1. It has experimental support for Linux (and no support for FreeBSD) so of course the open source community is not going to embrace it
      2. It is build in C# so probably slower than Godot (C++)
      3. Scripts are written only in C# and I wasn't able to find anywhere saying that you can have binding for other languages.
It doesn't give good vibes in general.

Nice list and video. Too bad ORX engine, the best 2.5d open source engine, is not even mentioned in the list. Fully data driven and super optimized, it's only default is not to be known enough. Really to check if you're serious about making 2d indie game on the long run.
