Not gonna lie, as someone who works in social media marketing, that's bs that they put you on media hold and then ghosted you. As you mentioned, that kind of thing can impact your career. They shouldn't have put you on a media hold until they knew 100% that you were going to be on the show, no ifs, ands, or buts. It's asking for a big commitment from you and a risk to your career and they shouldn't be asking that of you if they aren't fully committed to you too. It's unprofessional and rude.
I feel like a more famous person would sue about that for sure because it could potentially lose them money

Definitely. In LA there is a labor law that requires a production company to pay their day rate for days held if they don’t cancel you within a certain time.
Totally agree. The whole media world is cruel. Starting with social networks. They damage 99% of people (artists, singers, you tubers, bloggers). No one is immune. It’s a high price to pay.
And then ghosting the manager??? Beyond rude and unprofessional 😡😡😡

I've heard that Ellen is typically nicer to guests (or at least the more expensive guests) but is crappy to everyone else. Considering Molly is only an A-list human and not an A-list celeb, she probably wouldn't have had a good time.

Yeah there were stories for years. I remember seeing a few in magazines from varying reputable statuses but the consistency made me think people were just ignoring it for years because we needed this champion for LGBTQ people and women…
@@Marina_DU she never said Ellen wasn't kind, she said it wasn't what she expected, other guests had better rooms and she didn't meet Ellen before she was on stage with her. I'm not saying Ellen is the kindest human out there, but it's unfair to have expectations to how things will be while you're there. She was given a room and was annoyed it didn't have a private bathroom but the Jonas Brothers had a great room. The JB's were the main focal point of that show and there are three of them. Of course they had a larger room. I love Nikkie but it's definitely not fair to expect to have the exact same thing other guests are getting.

Throwback to that time in 2008 when Ellen forced Mariah Carey to announce her early pregnancy on her show (knowing Carey had had issues getting and staying pregnant) and then the poor woman miscarried right after. Thanks to Ellen, she was forced to bare that blow in front of the entire world instead of only those she wanted to.
I'm beyond relieved that Molly wasn't put in a position like that thanks to the Ellen show being absolute crap in securing guests and human decency
Also she would be very let down with who she actually is. Meeting someone you’re a fan of is never a good idea because they’re rarely who you think they are but ESPECIALLY Ellen.

Ellen was such a huge celebrity for so long, but it wasn't until about a year ago that I actually watched her show just to check it out. And I remember being struck by how uncomfortable and inappropriate it felt when she "played a joke" on someone and made some comments. Everyone laughed like it was funny, but to me it felt mean spirited. I thought it was so strange cuz on her show she was giving away money and helping people who were kind and giving, sharing their beautiful stories. But the way she interacted with them looked off to me, I couldn't put my finger on it. Now that these allegations have come out it makes sense! I'm glad I have super instincts like that, can pick up on wolf in sheep's clothing...

I have never watched a full episode of ellen but I watch a lot of clips and interviews. The ones the stand out to me the most as making me feel uncomfy is whenever Taylor Swift is on Ellen. I have been a big Swifty for years and have watched countless interviews with Taylor Swift, and I am also a linguist so I can pick up on very very slight changes to tone that maybe most would not notice. But whenever Ellen interacts with Taylor be it a "joke" or a game or the actual interview Taylor's voice does this thing where she sounds unsure of her answer even if it is a question about her cats or something normal like that, almost as if she is afraid that Ellen will turn it around on her like Ellen does regarding Taylor's boyfriends. Also Taylor, someone who appears to me, to be someone who is very poised and cool&collected, shifts in her seat a lot more than I notice her doing on any other talkshow. Taylor Swift is an A-List celeb who has been on Ellen several times but everytime she seems uncertain. Sorry this is long and kind of ranty. But Ellen now makes me sad because she was such an icon for LGBT community and also just seemed like a genuinely nice person but that is beginning to look like it isn't quite the whole truth.

@@thatoneyoutuber5542 lol yeah you're kind of out of the loop. This happened a couple of weeks to a month ago I think? Ellen was basically accused of being a very mean person is real life when her whole persona is based around kindness. Like people couldn't even look at her or she would throw a tantrum kind of mean. Guests say she was cold to them offset. Stuff like that.
There are also a ton of allegations about it being a hostile work environment, sexual harassment, discrimination ect.
All of which was at the very least ignored and at the worst propagated by Ellen.

I just watched an interview of her with Cecily Strong (from SNL) and she literally complimented Cecily the entire interview and seemed interested in what she had to say.
"Media hold" dashing other possibilities, wasting your time during a rare family overseas visit on the phone for hours, prying into your personal life/family photos, AND now that ellen degenerate has been EXPOSED by people she & her crew have treated extremely horribly.... ellen is just trash tbh. Ellen & her staff have treated SO many people poorly! I am sure you're aware of all the news reports. (she treated "Nikki Tutorials" awful - ck out her YT video regarding this) I would rather see you on Kelly Clarkson's show!! (I quit supporting Ellen a while back due to their behavior)
It's crazy how far Molly has come. It's so inspirational to all children that get to be impacted by her.

I love how she shares her story's about becoming blind and dealing with it, it really helps a lot of people my friend started going blind last year and I showed her this channel and she told me she has never felt like some one understood how she felt before she watched your videos.

Vision boards are so fascinating. I just keep adding to mine and I move the things that have come true to the far left of the board, I put things I want to happen very soon in the middle of the board and I put far-off goals/wants at the right side. It is amazing how these boards work. So many crazy things I put on there have come true, and some thing are even better than what I asked or desired. Everyone should do one. You will be so surprised by how well it works. I've had my same vision board for over 12 years! I just keep adding things and being thankful for the visions that have come true.

I stopped watching Ellen when I realized that all the people she was helping was only people who absolutely adored her and could be brought on the show to gush over Ellen. There was a narcissistic under tone to almost everything she did.

I'm happy that Molly shared this story with us. I think after hearing how the whole thing ended, being people who love Molly and everything she does, we are rightfully disappointed and maybe a little mad. I really think it was cruel of the Ellen Team to put her through such a process, and then ghost her, knowing that this was her dream. That's just wrong. Anyways, I'd love to see Molly hosting her own talkshow, giving a spotlight to those who deserve it! ❤️

I know for a fact that you would be amazing on Ellen
never got why anyone would want to be on Ellen in the first place or found her inspirational … she's not funny, she constantly interrupts her guests, and she always seems like she couldn't care less about what they're saying (imo of course)
Her old stand up from the 90's was good, I used to like it a lot. But her recent special was honestly awful. It felt forced and was uncomfortable.
