My oldest daughter and son in law are taking me to Seaside, Oregon on tomorrow. I'm going to make this to put things in when I get back home It's going to be a day trip.🦋🚗 😊 August 10...2023.
Once again such simple processes turning into a beautiful and useful item. I just love following your train of thought. Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial. ❤ your work. Cheers, Marylyn.
You may need to clean you sewing machine bobbin case with a machine brush. Getting all the lint out of the creases and ridges. Then oil your machine top and bottom in oiling spots. rethread the top of the machine and change your needle to a new one and make sure the needle you use is made for your brand of sewing machine. These tips mat help with your tension also. If the machine is threaded wrong it will cause the tension to be off. Good luck. Thank you for sharing. Lovely project. 👍🥰

Another fantastic rainy afternoon project. I so look forward to your videos every week and watch them at least twice. And I confess I’ll often put your playlist in to fall asleep (☺️). I’m very happy to report that I have been making the ridiculously addictive three pockets tuck, and once you get the hang of it you can whip up a batch form all different papers in no time. I’ve even made some teeny tiny ones for beautiful postage stamps! The only hint I have is that if you use washi to add it as a tip in then you’re best off glueing the washi down to both sides as I’ve found with the weight of the paper they can come unstuck very easily. Even a glue stick does the job. But.... I’m challenging you to make a MINI project. Like your lovely folders or anything, but a tiny one that can be sent as happy mail in a usual card sized envelope ✉️. I send a lot of happy mail and I’m always looking for new ideas. As always Thankyou so much for a beautiful and adaptable project my love, you never cease to inspire. Xx
I didn't get to see all of your video on Saturday because the great grandbabies came over for a sleepover. We had such fun. I'm watching this morning 🌄. It's raining so a good day for crafting. Thanks for sharing this. I'm going to make some.🦋 Also make sure your bobbin is threaded right. I was sewing one day and it was the bobbin that was off set. Keep going, you'll get better with time.

WOW, Joie, what a lovely little journal. I love it. I am off to my art room now to try and duplicate one of my own. (Hold thumbs) The 3 tuck pocket is lovely , but looks like one needs a maths degree to get it right, but here goes!!!!!.. Thank you for the inspiration. Have a lovely Sunday. This may be a strange comment but your videos remind me of some david Attenborough documentaries because you and him have such soothing voices and such knowledge about their respective topics. Love this idea and can’t wait to make one for myself!
Oh what a beautiful journal folder and I especially love, love, love your pockets! Your inspiration for journals seems endless; I for one am thrilled about that!

Lol👍🥰 I don't always use digitals, just from time to time when I see something in really like. Thanks for popping by Lynn 💜 I really appreciate your kind words. Joie 😁
I haven't used digitals so far as I only have a black ink printer. Have been thinking of asking my local stationer who does photocopies if he'd print colour from a memory stick.
I really enjoyed your video! I believe I am perhaps fussier than you are--meaning I would do with more precision and less tattiness--but your methods produce a lovely and interesting product! The only cringing fussy me did was when you applied glue to the next part over or on top of your beautiful work! Please cover your work with a protective layer when you are spreading fresh glue or paste! Again, very fun video to watch for inspiration!
Good morning, Joie.. Love how this turned out. The colors you chose to use with the Oriental women were perfect. Tip. Washi can lose it's stickyness so if you're going to be flipping that pocket back and forth, I'd consider reinforcing with glue. Creative Blessings!
I bought some digitals (I don't normally work with them) and then thought, "What do I do now?" You answered my question. I'll do a simple, elegant peacock folder. Thank you. I have learned much from your videos.
