Thank you for showcasing these digis so beautifully, Joie! I love how you made them your own! Hugs, Barbara
I absolutely loved playing with these Barbara... What a treat to play with such different designs, and so beautiful. 👍😊💜💜💜
My dear friend, from very far away. Thank you again, for turning on your camera. I've been very unwell, I'm home 22 hours out from the hospital (in for 2 weeks 6days 4 hours🙁) I'm very comfortable being able to get back to "Joie Defi" and her wonderful artistic "engineering" of paper creating fun useful Ephemera, envelopes, TN Covers and inserts and even water color. Now sewing more than ever before!! Love it. All utilizing discarded books and there marvoulous pages, and the very best part - no bleed through with water.- and colors Artiza water coloraint tubes. ( Gift) and some alcahol brush paints double ended.
Enjoy your day, lastly
Education and encouragement as to how to go about utilizing old books.
If that's one thing we have( USA) is many books for literally free no shipping. ( Latest find in January -an estate sale of a woman from Scotland. Among many hobbies, including designing textiles was, an avid gardener. She had literally every Edith Holden book written. Including the darling "hedgehog Feast" 3 of them for .50 cents. And another "Victoria is a Garden" the first book purchased recommend by you. There is a Christmas Edith Holden book as well.
I've kept one of two of my goals for the year. Brush up on my embroidery and x stitch. Extend my knowledge of more hand crewel & embroidery stiches. ex ( slow stitch) and I've finally gotten my watercolor tools I do love the relaxation of simply creating washes and occasional doodles. I'm using cold press cotton watercolor paper recommend by CeCe. (I use small cards, ATC size) and have done some Ephemera and some elaborate ATC cards created with 1800's book pages, napkin pieces, stamping typically the same one every time. French script. Using colors from old home decorating books and quilt/ tatting crochet lace pattern magazines, ( really news print) to do some collaging -old Digi scraps, lace and textiles. Add some coordinating fabrics and wool tiny appliques and sew with the machine or by hand I fatigue very easily. I'll jump on over to see Barbara in Austria. She too is a real joy. My husband too is from Austria. Not before, Hoever, I thank you for being my "instructor" friend for the last 2 years. Like I said, could not hardly wait to watch another video and once again did not fail. Joie Defi' thank you, for sharing your thoughts, time, and tools. I'm sincerely grateful. Best for the rest of the year. Be safe, & be well. Oops. Thank you for the large kit of Ephemera to pirchase. I'll share these link item numbers , say @ 12 .00 in your sweet shop. tidying my studio and listening to my ebook or something more in way of my music genera'. Piano, flute, And wind chimes.
Be blessed with another abundant creative tallent

Hello Joie, WOW, what a super project. Am going to try one, I have a lot of smallish and quite a few "treasures" to put into it. Love the Art deco images, Barbara is also a super teacher, have learnt so much from her. It was through her that I discovered your channel, which I also love. Thank you for your videos and the inspiration, you have a wonderful way of explaining things, also such a calming voice and manner. Blessings and hugs from Cape Town. Diana
So happy to hear that you will have a go at this Diana!!! Keep me posted ! 🥰💜💜💜
I really LOVE the digital papers you use in this project. The pouch is awesome and will come in handy to house some loose ephemera I have on my table. Thank you for this great tutorial 😊💚
Exactly, it's an ephemera tidy place !!😃👍💜💜💜
Oh you made me laugh so hard with the Olympic sized splat!
Love this project. Great use of larger book pages. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks very much Vanessa!!💐😁💜
Fun, fun, fun! 🤗💕🦋
Awesome!!!!😁💜💜💜
Thank you for sharing, Joie! 💖🌷🌸
Love your style, and appreciate your creativity and inspiration! These are beautiful!🦋⭐️🌷🌻😎🌺🧚♂️🌈
Thanks so much Lori!❤️💐💐💐
Its amazing how many similarities there are between this channel and the paper outpost channel.
Hmm, not sure why you'd say that. I've been following both recently, and get a lot of great info and new ideas from both channels. Yes, they both focus on junk journals and paper crafting, so some similarities are inevitable. But their styles are completely different, not only in the projects demonstrated, but also the manner and personalities of the two ladies presenting. I really appreciate the immense amount of time, effort and dedication they invest to give crafters FREE access to endless inspiration and technical tips. Thank you so much, Joie and Pam!
❤️
Thanks, Joie! I made a big envelope last night! I used a tyvek postal envelope and glues and sewed scrapbook paper scraps on it. Very useful- already put into service!
Great innovation! Nicely done Jennifer!❤️
Wonderful. Love the size of your pouch as well. The digital kit is beautiful. Will have to go and look at her site. Thank you Joie.
Thanks Peggy!❤️
It is really fascinating how you managed to create with Barbara's kit , who has a rarely different style than you, something that is truly you. Great work, dear Joie! Thanks for sharing this! Your videos are always a source of inspiration, especially for playing fearless with our creativity 🤗
P.S. for the organisation of our digis: I save every download not just with its name, but also with the creator's name. And when I have more digitals for a specific theme, I save them in extra files, like "books", "flowers/nature" , "Christmas ",.... maybe that helps?
It does...I think my system sounds quite similar. I really appreciate your comments... Joie 💜💐
I have purchased more than one of the same set. Etsy does nothing to prevent it. Fortunately all shops are completely forgiving if you notice and will offer another set. Love this project! 😀
Oh no... it's too easy to buy 2... Thanks for popping by to watch Hannah!😁💜
Very pretty DIY Envelope pouch I Food leveling
Thank you so much, and thanks for popping by to watch Food Leveling!!😃👍💜

it's a very nice project, thank you for the very pleasant demonstration again - I will go see the channel you're talking about , with pleasure and these ephemera are gorgeous. Have a nice Week-end Joie
You too Anita, great to see you here again!👍💜
@@joiedefi ⚘💕
just a suggestion...play around with the tension on your bobbin...it will help neaten up your stitching on the back side ...love your videos...so relaxing...
I did it and it worked!!!! Awesome, thank you!👍❤️
Joie it’s always such a pleasure watching you create. Thank you for sharing another fun project.
My pleasure Mary!💜
I loved, loved loved, Joie! Thank you so much! ♥️
Aaah naira, thank you so much!!!😁💜💜💜
A great project, thanks for sharing.
Thank you too!
Joie, I love this project and want to make a version soon. I think I might use a big piece of poster board as a base. . . or maybe not. This response is actually in response to your comments about electronic filing systems and buying the same thing more than once. When I fell down the papercraft rabbit hole I started with embossing folders, curiously enough. Then paper punches and dies. Lastly stamps, as pre-stamping platforms I was lousy at stamping. And for a while I did keep an accurate inventory of my purchases on my computer. Then I'd be too busy to take the time to update the inventory when I bought something new. My primary problem (oh, I have so many) was organizing the physical items. When I couldn't find something I'd purchased, assuming it wasn't a terribly expensive item, I would purchase it again. Then when I stumbled across the first, I'd store them together. I've told my children their inheritance is craft supplies and cake stands, pedestals, etc. (that was also a brief obsession) . I think they'd rather have the money. So, thanks for this great project - it's highly appealing to me. And I loved the previous two when you made tags and journal cards from the painted book page substrate. Think I'll make one tomorrow. Take care, stay well, and thanks ever so much for sharing your creative ideas. Diane
Thankyou for sharing some different techniques I love your relaxed style 🥰
My pleasure Dianne, thanks so much for popping by to watch!💜
Great idea for those big book pages. Definitely going to be making some of these. Yours turned out so pretty.
Sounds good, I think you'll have a lot of fun Lacey!!! ❤️👍😁
Another beautiful creation, Joie! You break down the process into such simple steps. Makes me feel as though even I could do it. Thanks for sharing your ideas and techniques. From Cheryl in AZ.
Lovely feedback Cheryl....so supportive, thanks so much!!💜
Love the pouch idea. Carol from California
Oooh hello Carol in California!!!💜😁👍
That is gorgeous! (BTW, you just need to adjust the tension on your sewing machine to get neat stitches on both sides.)
I'm learning!! It made a big difference, thanks for the tip👍😊💜💜💜
Thank you so much for shearing! You are verry creative and I love making your projects!
XXXX
Thank you so much!😁💜
Very pretty and looks fairly easy which I like
I know what you mean!!💜😁
Thank you Joie, fab envelope..
Ooooh thanks Dot!!!😁💜👍
GORGEOUS envelope 😍. Oh I'm buying those papers this week! Art deco is one of my favourites. I also love her ASMR videos, especially on Sunday morning. Love the sounds of paper crafting. Paper pleases so many senses. Oh I got my cropadile for my birthday, it's so well thought out. Teal is my favourite colour, my sitting room is in teal. Lol my machine has messy stitches on the back, I know it's the tension but not confident messing around with that 😄 I'd only make it worse! Thank you for sharing 💖
I tightened the tension and it improved 😁❤️
Lol i might get brave enough! It's skipping stitches too which is another sign lol 💖
Thank you for this lovely project. I made a smaller version this afternoon, pretty pleased with how it turned out 👍🏻😊
Good fun this one, isn't it 😄 so glad you enjoyed it!❤️
Looks fantastic. Very inspirational.Hazy, Nottinghamshire, Uk
Awesome!! Thanks very much.... Middle of the country, not far 😁👍💜
Hello Joie, such a great tutorial. Barbara's Digi kit is really nice, love the colors. Thanks for sharing 🦋
You're very welcome 👍😁❤️
I LOVE your intro! And I love every thing you make! Thanks for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️
That's fantastic,thank you so much!!💜
Totally enjoyed watching that! Great job!
That makes me very happy to know Martha!😁💜
What a beautiful envelope! I always enjoy your videos so much - the projects, your way of presenting them and your lovely personality & voice! After watching your tag video I did some painting in my journal. It's a smaller space but I like the effect of watercolor on book page. I need a lot of practice (I have some very wide stems in places LOL) but learning to control the paint is just a matter of trying different paint, brushes and amounts of water (I use way too much water). Thanks to you, I'm looking forward to trying more!
My stems can get a bit wide too 🤭 the fun is in the trying 😁 Take care Shirley!!❤️
Love this!!!! Just beautiful!
So pleased that you like it Morgan😃👍💜
I love this large envelope!! I will make some for myself and some to sporadically give away lol
Sounds like a good plan!!👍💜
Beautiful use if this kit Joie. I love this envelope!
It's a bit different but I think it worked... Thanks very much Laura!!😁❤️
Very creative 👍
A bit different but fun 👍👍❤️

Fantastic to hear that Sherry, thank you!!👍💜
Still like this. 🤗🤗😊💙
👍🤗💜
This is a great project. Thank you so much for sharing.
My pleasure, maybe you'll have a go at making one too?👍😁💜
Hi Joie! Thanks again for a fabulous project! I do have digital files under each persons name that I download digis from. That's easiest for me, since each person has their own style. The style is what I think of when doing a project. Getting ready to make quite a few of these for the print outs I have, by name, of course!
Sounds perfect Denise!!👍😁💜
Cool idea!
Thanks Donna!!💜
Wonderful tutorial I will be making this envelope
Fantastic, have fun!!😁❤️
A great project thanks for sharing
You're very welcome Colleen ❤️

Thanks
You're very welcome!!👍💜💜💜
Fabulous envelope Joie! Thanks for the inspiration! Love the sentiment you added! Where did you get them? Definitely going to be making these! 🦋💚
The sentiment is from the Etsy shop of Artymaze... Do you know her??😁💜
Thank you. Lots of inspiration here for me, I have two or three large atlases. Have you tried fiddling with the tension on your machine, both sides should look pretty much the same?
Always a pleasure 💜🌿I have fiddled and improved things .... Thanks for the tip 👍😃❤️❤️
Beautiful creation, Joie! ❤️
But what size of paper did you use to print out the digis? Thanks!
I use UK size A4, which is 29.7 cm by 21cm.
Can you use an old book and tear out so many pages and just use that as your junk journal without tearing everything out of the book would that work?
I think I understand the question, and if I do then the answer is yes!! This might help... 👍💐 ua-cam.com/video/kTFjabEtG3o/v-deo.html
Wow!! Very beautiful ! Please can you tell me Which number needle do you use to sew on paper.
It's just the needle that came with the sewing machine... I'm sorry I don't know a number 🙄
@@joiedefi thank you for replying i i appreciate 😊

Hello. What is Barbara’s Etsy shop name for the digitals? And thank you again for a great video
It's 49dragonflies.shop 😊👍💜 it's not an Etsy shop
@@joiedefi thank you. I was confused. Is it the one with both yellow and teal images ?
I've added links to the papers to the video description box.... That should help 🥰👍
@@joiedefi thank you. I watch your videos while driving. Breaks at work. Working in the garden. The craft room. Etc. You are the best!
Thank you for taking the time to do this
You're the best too Kim!!👍😁❤️
❤️Barbara @ 49 Dragonflies....
Absolutely!!!👍😊💜💜💜
I'm in love with this project Joie! Had to make one right away! I will post on Instagram. I am artchick8168.
I saw it and it's absolutely fantastic!!! Thank you so much for posting the pictures!👍❤️😁
Joie, what do you MEAN "there's a time to be tidy"? ...there is? What time is that? It's 9:30 in the morning here on the west coast in America and I surely do hope I've missed this "tidy time" you speak of.
Joie, c'mon!! Tidy time AND you want me to have some sort of a filing system? I dunno... Loving you and your channel is really messing with my Saturday morning but I do... love you and your channel that is, so once this vid is over - and I hope there are no more stipulations - perhaps I'll go make a tidy filing system and call it good.
With love all the way from the Southern California desert, Emms ❤️🌞🌵
Well I guess once you have a filing system implemented you can always have fun messing things up again 🤣🤣
Wow, simply stunning, when you first turned the original envelope pouch over and showed the leaves etc, I was just like oh my gosh. Thank you for sharing how you painted them as well xx
