Awesome beat... If you get to fish any more beats like that then please keep them coming.... Would watch the video just for the scenery and everything else is an added bonus.
WOW!!! Beautiful area. I used that indicator rig with the two pieces stuck together and a small hook in between and caught my first two rainbows on a nymph ever!! So amazing, the two of you have elevated my fly game exponentially. I can't thank you enough!! Keep up the amazing content and I will keep following along
We are all loving the drone work, the views and the banter : meanwhile there is some serious skillful fishing and learning for us in these videos. You make it look so easy but we know it’s not ! Keep posting and we will keep watching and learning, thanks again for your videos.
That's very kind David! The river is special, I think it probably makes us look a bit better than we actually are! 🙈😂 I could have just flown the drone all day to be honest, it's a stunning place!
Lovely spot to fish! Sorry Ieva but it is Andys turn to win today..... Congratulations on the success of the fly selection boxes. Good to see you both getting a reward for all your efforts . ( okay Ieva, you can win for the next 2 videos while Andy is busy with the fly orders) Thanks for the video again . Cheers
Completely Awesome as usual guys, Thanks. I am planning on a session using the coloured water pack tomorrow and guess what!......pissing down 40mph thunder lol still going though, catch the river before it starts gunning through.
Hey Andy & IB, I really enjoy your videos; nice fishing, nice scenery, nice fish, nice banter. Also talking us through what you are doing and why, really helps me in my flyfishing. One question, Andy, why the 2 sunglasses?
Many thanks for your videos, team. I’m virtually a life-long fly-fisher but I’ve only just started to experiment with Euro/Czech-nymphing so your videos have been very informative. I was out on the stretch of the Wiltshire Avon where I am a member the other day, trying it for the first time with my old 9’6” #7 glass rod which I’ve had since my teens in the mid-1960s (that’s how old I am). I had an old #4 line which I used and lashed up a ‘French’ leader using 2 ft of greased backing in the middle as a sighter. It was a bit unwieldy to say the least but the technique worked alright - I took 6 grayling and 4 trout. I’ll have to get a proper 10’ #2 or #3 outfit and I’ve been looking around already. Your links have been helpful but a lot of items are showing ‘sold out ‘. I hope to find some good ‘Black Friday’ deals. What would you recommend, #2wt or #3wt? I don’t want to spend a lot as I’ll only do this in the winter months, it’s strictly single dry-fly or single nymph during the trout season. It’s the stretch of the Wiltshire Avon where Frank Sawyer was keeper and where he developed his nymph knowledge. There are grayling to 3lb and over here and I’ve had a few which topped 2lb. Being Sawyer’s reach most of us just use the PTN or Sawyer’s Killer Bug. They seem to do the job. Keep up the good work.
We were very very lucky, it might only see a dozen or so anglers during the winter months! The fact we arrived late wasn't ideal but we really enjoyed it!
Great fishing. If only my greatxxxxxxxgrand-dad had been son of a King! Also, I noticed Andy being very camouflaged, while IB was in fluorescent orange......
Look at that place lol. Looks like something out of the war of the Roses era. Probably trace their history back before Angincourt? So many Grayling stacked into these pools.
I have recently subscribed and enjoy you featuring my familiar waters (Rivers Dove and Wye in Derbyshire). I have very much appreciated the tuition on euro nymphing/czech nymphing/french leader techniques. I like some of the fly patterns you're using - do you publish their tying patterns at all? Otherwise keep up the great vids!
Might have missed it , though would love a break down of how you set up. From fly line to the point fly. Would be great for beginners too . 😄 Tight lines 🎣
You guys need to do a flyfishing tour to sweden... Byske river in northen sweden. Swedens second biggest salmon from that river at the tiny weight of 46 kilo (92 lbs) on one hand flyrod. 1 hour 45 minutes befor he even saw the fish.... my dads old class mate had it. It is unoffical tho as it was out of season for salmon. Still a monster.
Hi Both, Love your channel. A bit of banter always making the videos intresting as well as informative. Can you advise where you got your floating net? Looks very unique shapewise and definately a handy bit of kit when wading. Keep up the videos :)
Hi Mark, have a look through our videos, we show how to make one like mine, or if you are interested in Andy's net, then search for 'living the dream' on Instagram.
Great work again guys 😊 What a location to fish!!!! I've just ordered a nymph fly line (on a whim 🤭) Are there any real benefits? Is it intended to replace the French leader? Like I say, I bought it on a whim from Wish just to see if its any different?
I've pretty much exclusively contact-nymphed this year, and I have to say I preferred mono leader (Hends/Camou make a 9m one) tied straight onto a braid strike indicator then tippet. You HAVE to straighten the kinks out of the leader every time you fish. The nymphing fly line is, as far as I can tell, only really useful if you're trying to comply with competition rules! Otherwise the sag makes it hard to maintain contact with the nynmph. But I'm happy to be corrected. SO much to learn.
I'll echo Patrick's excellent answer here and say I can't really find any benefits for the angler who isn't fishing to comp rules, see how you get on with it though!
@@IBandAndyFishing Nice to know that using an indicator with a euro rig is not "against the rules". When fishing a rods-length away from you you are able to easily guide the flies and see your sighter but when you get further across the river you now have a bit more weight to cast as well as see takes you might have missed otherwise. Can't wait to get out next week and give it a try since we're getting a break from the cold in Colorado for a few days. Take care and keep up the great work!

@@IBandAndyFishing Thanks! Probably just repeating knowledge I picked up from your earlier videos. Great channel.
you're carrying on the traditions that go back to the Normans .... and Haddon is in a beautiful spot ...
did you use the drone to find the fish in that 1st area...?
Was IB using your "homemade" indicator using the foam ones stuck together? I thought that design was very creative.
She was yes, that's how we've been fishing indicators for a while now 👍👍

Where did IB get her folding net from or what make is it please?

I'd like to know that too. My current folding net has been attacked by mice....
Is it the rules that you can't wade?
It is David yes
