Lovely video - well done! You have a very engaging enthusiasm. Great stuff.
Thanks mate, really appreciate that!
Absolutely loving your videos. I'm just restarting fly fishing and enjoying all your content. You really seem to be genuinely enjoying it. And not lecturing us on what where and how. Keep it up. Brian
Thanks Brian, glad you're enjoying the videos and I really appreciate you taking the time to comment!
I fish here quite reguarly when you first get onto the lake the small area right infront if cracking for fish ive caught 6+ pounders in that spot also the small channel to the left hand side is cracking for stalking the trout
Thanks for the advice! I don’t think I’m renewing my membership this year though, but I had great fun fishing it this day!
Well done, mate. Lovely fish and a great days fishing.
Try and master the buzzers mate. It’s no coincidence that at this time of year, as soon as you put the black nymph on, you couldn’t fail. In spring, natural flys will always out fish lures (although stocked fish will take anything) the resident fish will be switched on to naturals like nymphs and buzzers. Straight line buzzer fishing is awesome fun.
I went to Pennine Fishery on Sunday and had 21 to the bank, most on Buzzers and Diawl Bach nymphs. Look them up and get some in your fly box and in the Warmer months, you’ll catching non stop.
I’d definitely recommend a days fishing in Pennine fishery in littleborough. Just outside Rochdale. I’ve been the last two weeks and in total I must’ve had over 40 fish, including 5lb brown, and a 5lb Blue. The fish are all good sizes and stocked daily.
Sunday just gone, in the peg next to me, a lad had a monster just over 20lb.
Give the Facebook a look mate, Pennine fishery.
If you go, I’d be more than happy to show you how to straight line buzzer fish, as you said you’d never done it before.
👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching mate! Don't think i've ever used a buzzer before. I just had a look at that fishery, about an hour and 20 minutes away from me so it's a bit of a trek! If i get some spare time i'll look into popping down though. 20lb trout crikey bet that was a big ugly thing 😂 If you ever find yourself fishing on one of the WADAA waters you'll have to let me know too and i'll see if i can come down and join you
@@adventurefishinguk it’s was gorgeous 😂😂 The lad killed it and took it though, to my dismay. When they’re that big, 5 years old, I think they have to go back for someone else to enjoy but he paid his money so it’s up to him innit.
What are the WADAA waters mate ?
@@CBCB78 they’re mostly around the south east of the Lake District. If you have a look on the Windermere and district angling association website you’ll be able to see them.
I can’t believe he killed it what an idiot, most fly fisheries I’ve been to have a catch and release only policy for fish above a certain weight
@@adventurefishinguk I’d love a session in that Otter tarn from your previous video but I’d be in the same boat, it’s nearly a 2 hour drive from me. 😩
@@CBCB78 crikey, bit of a journey that!
Nice one mate lovely water that
Thanks mate!
Monster! Love the stuff man
Thanks mate, appreciate that!
Great fishing trip lovely rainbows. If you ever fancy a trip up to the North of Scotland fishing give me a shout.
Thanks mate! What sort of fishing do you do most up there?
@@adventurefishinguk pike and perch mainly but getting in more trout and salmon this year also. Hopefully get a salmon on a fly I've tied again this year.
Smashing session well done!
Thanks mate!
Nice one George, great fit looking fish in there. The fly choice definitely did the job. Tell ya what, that was a big beauty 🙂👍 and looking fit as a fiddle.
Cheers fella
Atb Rick n Billydog
Thanks Rick glad you liked the video. Apparently they get bigger in there too, I know a good place with plenty of 4 pounders as well. Would be good for a mega catch and cook
@@adventurefishinguk yeh definitely, you'll have to let md know what club. I've been thinking of joining a club not too far away. Would be nice for one with multiple waters
@@RickTOutdoorAdventure1969 it’s WADAA mate, a bit on the pricey side but they’ve got so much water in the lakes for fly coarse and pike. Loving it so far, they do day tickets too. We should catch a fish to cook up together there
Nice one George! these fish are in superb trim, looks like you're really getting the hang of the fly tackle.
Thanks mate! good condition aren't they, and I'm trying my best! Still a lot to learn
Great session✌
Thanks Graeme!
Those fish are in such good condition - I was surprised
Thanks mate, me too. Very fit hard fighting fish
Great video mate, looked a good day there!
Thanks mate, very good day indeed
Superb session. There are many expensive day ticket waters, that would be packed with much poorer fishing than that.
Thanks mate! Yeah it’s a great little place to fish and well stocked with hard fighting fish. Thanks for watching!
First, watch it after me tea 🙂
Great looking lake i wonder if there are any Pike in it, i bet they would be Mahoosive with all those fat Trout on the dinner plate.
I have never been bothered with Fly fishing but if i could have a session like that then you can count me in.
Thanks mate I hope you enjoy!
What a cracking video George and some absolutely amazing fish. Looks a nice little spot that does and I remember when you first started flyfishing and tried to get the hang of it on your videos and now you are truly a trout master !!!!! I reckon because I know you like perch fishing you should try and catch one on the fly! I’ve never ever tried flyfishing. I never get much chance to do any fishing to be honest with you. Too busy watching yours & Harry’s
videos 🤣🤣🤣 … them trout look like they were giving you a proper scrap and that’s what it’s all about. Anyway I better get myself sorted as just finished work and my other half will be in shortly and I haven’t started tea and I will be getting my ass kicked !!! All the best to you my friend 👍🏽😀🎣
Thanks John! Yeah i'm starting to get to grips with the casting side of things now, a lot to learn about fly choice and presentation still! I reckon i'll catch a perch on a fly sooner or later, there has to be a few about where i'm fishing. Especially if i start doing it more in the Lakes! If you're ever in my area and fancy a bit of a fish give me a shout i'd be happy to show you around a few places
@@adventurefishinguk yeah that would be something catching a big perch or a fly.!…. cheers George & Thank you for the invite. Hopefully when I do manage to get a bit of time for myself at some point I may just take you up on that.
Would I need to buy
some crocs and I’m surprised you haven’t got Harry into the crocs yet !! 🤣🤣😀😀……
Tell you what I always appreciate you replying to not just my message but messages the other people send. There’s quite a few people who i’ve subscribed to on UA-cam and I would say out of about 20 or so only about three of them give you a reply … I know people are busy and have a life but when a lot of people make an effort and go out of their way to make nice comments sometimes other Fishing UA-camrs don’t even bother to reply. you ( and Harry ) are of the exception though and appreciation works both ways. I’ve learnt quite a lot by watching your video
And also made a few purchases along the way ( as you do ) …. So I just want to say a big massive thank you really as you make the effort to share your videos and go the extra mile and I’ve noticed you always try and reply to all of your comments that people make the effort to make … that goes a long way … top man and all the best 👍🏽😀🎣
@@johnloxley8705 you’re very welcome John, the way I see it is that if someone has taken the time out of their day to watch my video and leave a comment then of course I’m going to reply to them!
You’re always welcome to come for a fish with me and I’m sure Harry would be up for it too. Your name regularly comes up in conversation when we are out on the bank talking about how our videos have been received.
It’s not you that should be thanking me it’s the other way round, people like you who engage with the videos enjoy them and keep coming back for more are what makes the channel grow and makes it more worthwhile! These videos take a huge amount of time to film and edit and it’s great to see people enjoy them
@@adventurefishinguk I’ve said it before George you and Harry could make a great to show !!! Theirs now much fishing wise on the tv ( apart from Mortimer and White House ) … Wilson( r.I.p ) & Matt hayes etc have had their day and it’s now time for some fresh and very welcome fishing to come to the tv !!! That would be awesome !!! Ya can but dream but never say never !!! Cheers though buddy and I thought my message was a long one !!! 👍🏽😀🤣….. THANK YOU !!!!!! 🎣🎣🎣
@@johnloxley8705 it’s definitely a dream of ours! One day hopefully 🤞
Excellent session. When u loose count of the fish u caught it’s a good session bud. 😂
Thanks mate, very true!
Cos he’s probs hanging on to a few lol.
We are going Saturday I hope it's fishing as good for us
Unless they've recently done work on it I would choose another venue. It's full of weed at the moment, very difficult to fish
@@adventurefishinguk it was unfortunately, still had a few trout all returned to fight another day.
Whats best to use this time of year for stocked trout on fly mate? I like west of scotland not lone started fly fishing and struggling to get fish biting
I'm no expert but i'd say bigger brighter flies maybe front weighted that fish a little deeper. Orange fritz would be my personal recommendation
Which club does the water belong too and do they do a day ticket
No day ticket I don’t think, it’s Windermere and District angling association
Could you please tell me where that fishery is???
Really enjoyed the video.👍
Thanks mate! It's part of Windermere angling association
You have inspired me to start fishing again after nearly forty years, I live near Shap and I’m wondering which club/clubs you are a member of, thanks
Right now I'm a member of Wyresdale anglers and Windermere and Ambleside district angling association. If you're from Shap, haweswater is definitely worth a go near the dam wall!
hi were there any feeding on top i went there last week only stayed half an hour nothing moving ,,great video ,,
Thanks Rob glad you liked it, and no hardly anything feeding on the top 👍
@@adventurefishingukthanks maybe I should have given it a bit more time...have you tried farelton view..
Would be more fun if u got em on the reel when landing, and less likely to lose them. Lovely spot but don’t think u said where you were
Hammering them there Bong! Congrats on the pb too.
Ps Do you ever go to work 😂
Thanks Richard! I do on tuesdays and wednesdays. Fortunately fishing an video making is slowly becoming like a part time job!
@@adventurefishinguk Keep them coming mate , love the channel ! We never know where you'll be or what you'll be fishing for ...true to its name - Adventure fishing
@@Smuttleydog I do try keep things exciting, thanks for commenting regularly too!
Do you fish them straight of tippet
Usually just one fly at the end of my tippet mate!
Would like to get into fly fishing which site is it please as I am in Lancs thanks
Its part of WADAA 👍
Nice where is this?
A lake near milnthorpe, part of Windermere and Ambleside district angling association
Don't those caravans have a stunning view!! I believe there are at least four large Common Carp in there...only one has ever been caught...
Lovely view! I've heard the rumours, think i'll try catch one on some bread this summer
@@adventurefishinguk in California the carp are huge 10-40lbs frequently seen. There's large numbers of them as well
If its where I think it is I used to fish it 15-20 yrs ago, those islands look very familiar(obvs had a lot of work done fairlyrecently). There is 100% carp in there! I saw 2 through polarised glasses grubbing about on the bottom. They we're only maybe 5lb but after all these yrs god knows how big they'd be
Late to the party but I grew up on the sister caravan park up the road And was fishing here every weekend 10 years ago before trout were put in. The longer lake was full of carp and course fish. The lake fished in the video used to be good for silvers and the odd carp and tench, but had a really bad weed problem mostly unfishable most of the year, they used to rake it with a boat once a year.
Loved the quality of those fish. Always looking for quality waters. Can anybody fish there. If so could you please give me details as to where it is. Any info would be great. Really enjoyed your video. You did really well to catch the take on camera. Love that part, seeing that line tighten up.
Hi mate, yeah the club I’m in stock really high quality trout across all their waters. It’s called Windermere and Ambleside district angling association, about half of their waters are day ticketed too
@@adventurefishinguk Thanks for the reply. Take care. Shaun.
@@shaunfishes101 no problem 👍
What is the caravan site called and can you book a day ticket through the site
What is the club called ?
Windermere and Ambleside district angling association
@@adventurefishinguk ok I'll have a look at that
use your reel
I need to learn, only just got started with fly fishing!
@@adventurefishinguk play the fish how you feel comfortable mate, I personally don't play them on the reel, isn't as fun. good video btw that nymph did the damage.
@@goyney thanks mate! Yeah I see what you mean, playing on the line does put you that bit closer to the fish when bringing it in
Why? That’s a preference of the angler. I’ve been fly fishing for 30 years and never use the reel. You feel the fish a lot more when you use the line. You’re much more in touch with it. He’s doing fine as he is.
you set the hook way to hard thats why your fly snaped
Could be! I’d have thought 8lb like would snap before a hook would break though. Metal hook should definitely be stronger than monofilament line!
@@adventurefishinguk yep
