The most versatile X-Trans II Fujifilm film simulation recipe. If you're looking for a color film simulation recipe for your X-Trans II Fujifilm camera look no further than Reggie's Classic 70. This film simulation recipe started out as an attempt to recreate the look of my popular Fujifilm recipe Reggie's Portra but for the X Trans 2 sensor. But after testing it out on my Fujifilm X70 for a couple of years, I can confidently say this camera/recipe combo beats out the newer Fuji camera in terms of color and rendering.

Does anyone use an older Fujifilm camera? Which one?
X-E3 baby!
Xt2 next to my xt5😇
@@MICHELE_et_LANCE oh yeah
@@elbutre1001 nice
i have the x30, my x10 died many years ago & wanted a slight upgrade ☺️
I just got my XT5 which doesn’t have this sensor but the first recipe I added was your Portra recipe. Thanks for sharing these.
Reggie’s Portra was the inspiration for this film sim recipe. So you’ll get great results
I am so happy there is a new recipe to try for the X70. Thank you Reggie!
Ooh, thank you for this! Can't wait to try it on my X-30.
You are the best Reggie! Thanks so much for this!!
You’re welcome
this has been my fave recipe to use on my x70 ever since you shared it on ig! it's the perfect all around recipe imo
Glad you like it!
Will test for my X-E3
thanks for this! i just got an xt10 so this will be of good use
Enjoy my friend. What lens you rockin?
@@Reggiebphoto 27 2.8 & 35 1.4!
I almost sell my x70 due to the classic chrome fs to me is too flat. Might try to bring up the color setting later. Thanks for the recipes!
Hello Reggie, could you make a video for X-Trans III for eg X 100F with your recipe or does that work here too? Thanks in advance
Hello, great video and sim. I like this one the best for my X-T1. By the way, is there a way to increase the strength of a film simulation? Thank you.
Awesome content! Just wanted to ask, were all the sample photos you showed using this recipe straight from the camera? Or did you edit any of them in post.
Thanks!
Some have a slight adjustment to exposure and a touch of contrast here and there. But these definitely don’t have any crazy edits. And most are untouched. None are from raws
Thank you for this. This will spice up my X70 to another level. This camera is my current favorite travel camera along with GR3+3X.
Can you recommend a thumb grip that fits well? I’ve tried a few but nothing nearly perfect.
I don’t use a thumb grip with mine
Nice to know that you like the x70 and the Ricoh. I’m curious to know what do you like in each one. I’m thinking of trading my x70 for a gr3. I really love Fuji, but the AF is not that good for kids. But mainly is the size. The x70 with a lens filter is too big for my back jeans pocket.
The af is not one of ricohs strengths. So def don’t get it for that reason
Hey Reggie, which WB Settings would you choose for lighter skin colors? Thank you for these recipes, they are fantastic!
I don’t know. I’m not experienced or knowledgeable in that. Feel free to experiment.
where can I find your black and white recipe for the trans 2 sensor?
On my ig
Do you think this recipe or your other go to Portra works best on an X Trans III sensor (XE3 user). Will be trying both!
Please try both and report your findings, I don’t have an xtrans iii in my kit right now
i need an x-e1/x-trans 1 version please :)))))
Have you tried Piotr Skrzypek's portra 400 for X trans 1 sensor?
yea but it doesnt look great in conditions other than daylight
Do you think the X70 is still worth it in 2024 with the current secondary market prices? My X100VI pre-order is so backordered that I ordered the X-T30 ii XF 18-55mm kit while it’s still available. I’m planning on getting the XF27mm lens later (thanks to your UA-cam short!).
P.S. This will be my first camera ever.
I wouldn’t recommend it unless you know you want it. Your money would be better spent on the xt30ii
Thank for the reply! I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Maybe Fujifilm will revive the X00 line by the time I want one lol.
Did you forget x-e2!
Hi Reggie does this work for XT30-ii?
use the original reggie's portra made for the xtrans 4 sensor
They’re advice is correct 👆🏽
X100T! ISO performance is kinda bad in today's standards, also the autofocus. Still it's the camera i always have with me and get all the important shots of my kids!
Small error: X-Pro1 doesn't have the X-Trans sensor 2 but the 1 version
100% someone already had corrected me in the comments. Apologies!
Hi Reggie would this work with my xt2?
I don’t know. I haven’t tried any of my recipes on an xtrans iii sensor yet
@@Reggiebphoto ok then let me be the first to try 😉
@@elbutre1001 how was your experience with it, if I may ask?
The X-Pro1 didn’t have the X-Trans2?? The X-Pro1, X-M1 and X-E1 had the original X-Trans1 :)
Oh thanks for the info!
No CC on x-pro1
Ah ok. Sorry for the wrong info
I guess I'll never know the or else because I commented.
Lol
God that recipe word is such a hipster fuji user word. Look, it's presets. In camera presets. Fujifilm is like Taylor Swift - love the product, hate the fans.
I agree with you. I didn’t come up with the term recipe. I believe it was the Fuji x weekly folks. With that said, I’m just here sharing info.
@Reggiebphoto yeah, nothing against you. Hell, I am here watching and subing to you :) . It's just so hipstery! To each his own when it comes to looks, preferences for physical circles on cameras and so on, but when they make up new words for something well established to make it out to be more than it is, can be annoying.
I hear you. And I’m going to call them recipes because the seo isn’t going to go well for Fujifilm presets. Gotta play the game lol
