Dude I just bought the MXR today and love it, Hey great video and dude your a great guitarist, damn you play superb, very well done thank you for sharing.
This is a really good demo because you actually get to compare the two side by side. Carbon Copy is better from a tone perspective, but the TC has more features....so that might work for you.
my TC gets into oscillation a bit to early, and its a very harsh oscillation, like with high frequencies only so it doesn't have a nice wash like a memory man. I'd say its in between carbon copy and a memory man. The trimpot is a pain in the ass, as the case is hard to open! Wish the switch was a rate knob mini pot, i mean you don't need a mod switch because the depth knob goes to 0. Nice chorus though - better than a few i tried, mine's pretty much a chorus pedal and i have another PT2339 keeley mag echo for the long washy delays. I think a DMM could kind of do both in a way as it has a bright first repeat but darkens with later repeats so will probably get that, used to have an XO but now can get a nano that's smaller with longer delay time.
I prefer the Carbon Copy Deluxe. Tap tempo should be a minimum to delay pedals, or midi control. I'm not about to crouch mid performance to change stuff.
late to the party, nice vid, i bought the tc for under $90 delivered, it's a lot of fun. my 'other delay' is the tc alter ego vintage echo x4 so this fills in nicely with true analog
At 3:18 timestamp, I don't know that I agree with your assessment about the Bucket Brigade being darker. One thing for sure, the Bucket Brigade sounds thinner. I'm listening through a pair of Sennheiser headphones.
It's a nice, no frills, gets the job done nicely delay pedal HOWEVER if you're a fan of working on German cars then you'll be right at home accessing the modulation speed internal trim pot: 4 external screws PLUS removing the jack nuts PLUS the spacers. Do yourself a favor and mark the spot to drill a hole in the housing to access the trim pot.
TC gives more for the money adding that chorus effect. Doesn't it? It sounds darker at some spots, but with the mod on, both sound awesome. Enjoy your playing and learn from you little by little. Keep up the good work and that friendly attitude.
The TC lays back in the mix better. The TC will work better left on through the whole tune as an ambient faux reverb like effect. The MXR is too out front. In short you can get more use out of the TC and a better price at the same time.
Is it possible to get just a chorus sound with the delay set to minimum? Just wondering as i would like chorus for occasional use but dont have room for a delay and chorus pedal
Here Australia tc cost $ 154 & more it 250 up 350 if it's on special. This blood. Inflation. Us guitar guy get rip of ah ah if buy strymon oooh $500 to 700. S/hand better .
Awesome beard and playing, the TC Bucket Brigade for $79 new, is the clear winner!
Dude I just bought the MXR today and love it, Hey great video and dude your a great guitarist, damn you play superb, very well done thank you for sharing.
I have a ton of delays, even 3 different strymons. The carbon copy is my go to; it’s amazing for a small pedal
A lil reverb also makes me happy....I prefer the MXR. Overall great demo 🎶
Thank you. I did not hear too much difference either. God bless !
I think being able to control the modulation gives the TC the edge in this shootout.
There are internal trimmes to adjust the width and speed of modulation in Carbon Copy. :)
@@sloneeek Oh okay, thanks. Good to know.
Great to have easy access to the control, as it is a variable that can be fine tuned to suit a room or mood.
Tq for yor demo. 👍to see you again. Looking forward to seeing you next time.
Good demo. Seems the Bucket Brigade might be the choice here - the pedals are close enough to warrant buying it at half the price of the Carbon Copy.

Actually the CC has more features as it can control modulation speed.
Nice clean tone.

The difference was so minimal it’s crazy. Gotta get a bucket brigade on my board asap 🤘👽🤘
Thank you for your video. Both very good. I wonder which one would be better for harmonica…🤔

Very nice comparison & nice channel, bruh! Suscribing!

Good comparison , MXR sounds warmer

from my end of the headphones seem the TC has more clarity of original tone with the repeats moving back
The TC pedal is good, but nothing beats the carbon copy

Round 9 et Stage2!
The first repeat on the carbon copy has more presence, which give the trail more depth. TC if you want the echo to stay out of the way.
you didn't cover how well each does spaceship noises...
Demmm .. kenapa aku tak Tau ada tc bucket ni . Aku baru beli tc the prophet 😌😌

There is a trim pot underneath that the user can tweak to their liking.

Neither one preserves pick attack.
The carbon copy would be my choice.
sounds very close
Mxr sounds wider
Tc sounds boring. Mooer ana echo sounds better.
