Awesome video man, I’m trying to decide between this axe or the Schecter C-1 SLS Evil Twin. Any recommendations? I love the aesthetic of this and the pickups sound super high quality. I know everyone seems to love the fishman fluence moderns in the evil twin though as well. Any thoughts?

I got my Hot Rod Tele for its Mini HB in the neck position. As much Humbucker muscle as I'll ever need, plus it retains the traditional clarity and chime when dialled back. I don't want to amass a vast guitar collection so it's nice to have the mini there as a distinctive alternative to the classic tele bridge. It's the perfect tele neck pickup as far as I'm concerned.

I have the red and the blue ones. I have new nuts on order for both of them, the plastic nut is just junk and binds every time the bar is used. I cut the treble bleed cap out of both of them. I have done work on the fret ends and they both play really nice now.

MAN! I'm drooling over this guitar, it's perfect as in, if Gibson asked me to design an explorer it wouldn't be any different other than I would've never thought of gold fret wire, which I think is killer! What a fantastic guitar. Awesome review dude, I sub'd! Really great riffs to demo this beast!

Do you guys have some hearing problems? This transistor crap is not even close to quality tube amp sound. But here is a question. There are many companies which produce pedals mimicking tube amps very well, like Universal Audio. How come that they cant produce such amps? And, after all. Tonex or NAM captures sounds like real tube amps on solid state power amps. WTF?

I have a 1990 Special with the separate bridge and tailpiece like that Standard. I wonder if that would sound even more similar to the Standard. Either way, two nice Les Pauls.

Smashed my nose on this video because now I own a WA Centavo. I couldn't agree more with your conclusions at the end of the video: same texture and tones but all three pots reacts slightly different (on the WA same position: more gain, tone more bright, and maybe even more volume)... but tweaking the knobs just a touch different... well... you have the Klon Centaur tone... absolutely! Tnx for your video Man... maybe the best comparison in the whole YT!

No matter the amp! The most important factor in your videos is the amazing cab by Orange amps. Cab and speaker choice is crucial, that said, sweet playing.

Well done. I've been going back and forth between these two, trying to decide which will work best for my playing. I'm mainly a Fender guy and own 7 teles. Gibsons I've had include a 1967 SG Special (P90s) and early 2000s Les Paul BFG, with a P90 in the neck. Love P90s. For the cleans, in your demo, I favored the Fender. For overdriven tones, esp single-note lines, I found myself siding with the Junior.

Anyone who owns (or has had a chance to play) one of these guitars... I'm curious as to how visible those brass ring fret markers are while playing

I don't think any owner of a Chinese-made Epiphone honestly believes "Better than Gibson?" But the good news is that it doesn't even matter. I've got two Epi's, and about to get my third (the 50's LP Std) because they are freakin' great guitars. My ES-335 and Sheraton II Pro are gorgeous, with a superb fit and finish. The ProBuckers are fantastic PAF-style pickups. Anyone coming here to trash Chinese Epiphones is, frankly, talking out their arse. That factory in Qingdao is killing it, and has been for years.

I first picked up a guitar in the late 70's after hearing VH on the radio. There wasn't much available in the way of affordability for a kid that only had grass cutting money. It's amazing the quality small money will get you these day's.

So I’ve found out that the purple and candy blue are made in Indonesia, while the white and black are made in China. Hope that helps!

Great video Sir, nice playing. Earned a sub. Cut the treble bleed out of it and the volume will clean up things much better. Got this exact same purple model, gave it an EVH paintjob, and love how it plays. Everyone I've let try it says it plays like butter and can't believe it was so inexpensive.

I have the EHX Canyon and the DMM setting is my favorite. I'd love to A/B test them. It would be cool to get a real DMM. The nano would fit a lot better on my board.

The narrower magnetic field of any given pickup with relatively less width always seems to bring out a more detailed sound-often with increased clarity in the treble, with the trade off being less volume. These mini HBs seem to confirm that…

I ended up playing one of these in store and my god the pickups are so sick. I have a Lemon Burst 50s epiphone and I am going to upgrade the pickups to these Greeny ones. They're so good

this P90 sound cool. But are ugly as poop. I want them humbucker look on my guitar! Also find the Humbucker sound way more smooth and elegant. P90s are too gnarly for my taste
