good review. i'm in that category of old dude with a bike, and i'm looking for comfort but also reducing weight. I'm in a somewhat hilly area and every advantage helps. Been looking at Hunt for a while for the same reasons. I need to do something - these factory wheels/tires on Trek Domanes and Giant Defys weigh a ton. I've managed to get the Domane down to 18.2lbs, mostly due to Ultegra upgrades and its rim brake, but still sporting aluminum DT Swiss 1600s. The Defy is a bloated 20.5 lbs but it is disc. I'm looking to get the Defy to about 18 lbs with an Ultegra upgrade and wheels, and I think these 1400 ish gram wheels will do nicely and not break the bank.
Never reached my radar of wheels I would shop for but interesting review. Specifically the H-Lock. I have Stan’s CB7 Baron rims and love the fact that they have Bead Lock rim profile. I just don’t like my rims to Not have some type of tire bead lock interface. As for complete wheels, I just don’t buy my wheels like that and prefer to choose my own hubs and spokes. But if you’re not like that and want a true value, why not?

I bought just the rims for a gravel bike I built. 4 season SuperDura Disc aluminum, 32 spoke, Sapim CX-Ray spokes, DT Swiss 350s, came out to 1600 grams. I have been pretty happy with those wheels for a year now and haven't seen a single reason to not build another set.
