@@onegrapefruitlover Juicing is orders of magnitude more healthy. Studies show 4-8 times more nutrients are absorbed. Fiber is healthy but it's not hard to get. So the uses vary drastically.

Cast yeah stay way from juicing. Couple times a month is enough. It’s more unhealthy than anything. Just sugar and nutrients. Eating it raw or cooked is better but people love trends
A short documentary on Neflix, A User's Guide to Cheating Death, Season 1 Ep 1, covers it where it basically affirms that it does mostly turn to sugar and debunks detoxing and juicing fads. It's similar to the "all fruit" diet. Both just create havoc with your intestinal flora. There's so many nutrients in the "pulp" too that juicers don't get. Fiber is so key.
Yes. Just eat the veg whole. It's better for you. I dont know why people dodge doing everything but just eating a raw piece of celery from time to time. 😭
I used to want one of these juicers so badly - and was about to finance one. But the more I learned about juicing over the past few years the more I recognized there really is nothing spectacular about it besides the fact that it's pretty. Yes, the yield is great but I believe the same results and quality of juice can be achieved by sticking your produce in a blender on low-med for a few seconds, then pouring that into a nut milk bag and using a wine/tincture press - can get one for less than $100 USD, to press the juice. I personally have a Tribest Greenstar Pro, which I believe is the best juicer on the market, because of the technology inside of its stainless steel twin gears.

It's basically the same method that I use to make apple juice in autumn. Only that the mincer is some frankensteinesque hand welded propeller with blades and for the pressure we use a regular car jack inside of a steel frame. It's probably the most efficent method for making juice but time wise it's definitely better for making large quantities. An afternoon of picking, washing, crushing, pressing can easily yield several hundred liters of juice.

I'm really curious about what you do with the pulp, do you use it for something or just throw it away (in a composter) ?
Fruit pulp, when dried, is VERY good for compost. You could of course also mix it in cakes and cookies to make homemade, flavored sweets. Also, I love your profile picture. Don't Starve is love, Don't Starve is life.
Up to the veggies used it is great to make veg burgers, for my taste it is actually the only vegburger that can compete with a real one. Not every day :D
From my understanding of these juicers the pulp is not actually good for anything.
It's like saw dust when properly done. Not even good for composting.
@@vaguedreams don't know this one, I have a slow masticating one, it mean that is slower and so there aren't high temperatures (to preserve the vitamins) so the residue are mostly proper fibers with no alterations, they gave great texture and taste mixed up with bread crumbs and egg. I must say that my veggy juice residues don't feel 100% dry, the residues are not pleasant raw, but you can eat them and feel ok
@@SkateTherapy these juicers have been around since the late 1930's. The Pure is just a copy of the Norwalk Juicer.
There are several videos but in general you can pretty much make the pulp bone dry.
wow, no amount of juice to be wasted. if we use regular juicer, we just couldn't filter it completely. this juicer is insane i love it 👏👏👏

I really don't think you need to make so much effort to make some juice. Life should be easier
Just eating the fruits like they are is much better. Fiber, chewing action, enzymes activation etc. Juicing everything is not good for the health. The body doesn’t necessarily need the concentration of nutrients.
It’s just a modern way to make money 😀
Personally I think life should be complicated. It makes things much worse when they fail
jaovao the juice is much better than store bought fruit juice and soda and stuff though, so if you’re looking for something to drink besides water it’s a decent alternative
Thunderwear or you can just drink water and learn to be grateful for what god has given us
rohanjgeorge There is a reason to make juices like that. It is to protect enzymes from heating and oxidation. that produce blenders and centrifuges. It is treatment of cancer patients of gerson therapy. has a century of saving lives without chemotherapy or radiotherapy

This dude is taking "waste not, want not" to a whole new level
Except, he's wasting energy using the this industrial grinder and press in order to remove otherwise edible, if not digestible, plant fibres. Fibres that would help his digestive system. He should have just chopped up the veggies and made a salad. Fibres are important. Thirsty? Try water.
www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/fiber/art-20043983
There is a separate 10 hour vid where he is cleaning this juicer after using it

I just died. Cleaning time does matter.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice video. It might just be that I'm a stupid American, but after watching you assemble the device, grind the produce, sack the grounds, press the grounds, disassemble, the device, and then have to clean all the components (off camera). I can't help but think that it is, by an order of magnitude, more cost and time efficient to just eat the salad.
Also potentially more healthy. Unless he's trying to avoid excessive fiber content in his diet, which can happen with vegan diets. Or maybe he just really likes juice/making juice. I'm puzzled as well lol
@@onegrapefruitlover Juicing is orders of magnitude more healthy. Studies show 4-8 times more nutrients are absorbed. Fiber is healthy but it's not hard to get. So the uses vary drastically.
@@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep I didn't know that. Thank you.
@@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep But which studies though? Fibers keep your blood sugar from spiking. They're an essential component while consuming fruit/sweet veggies.
@@bubblegumplastic If you need extensive information look it up yourself. I gave the important bullet point.
You implied I said fiber isn't important, I never and addressed it already. I said plant extracts are far superior in nutrition. Removing 1 benefit to dramatically increase virtually every other is a quite forgivable trade off. You apparently are unaware juicing is literally making a plant extract. An extract is always superior, this is a elementary concept.
Put two table spoons of psylium in a glass of water if you have that bad of an issue getting your fiber.
Will you be making vegetable stock from the pulp?
would make for some bomb ass compost too
The texture would probably be horrible. Maybe be good for rabbits or chickens/composting.
This juicer is amazing! And you have a beautiful kitchen brother
This is something you could use to extract high quality coconut or olive oil.

No, it is not. Juicing removes the soluble and insoluble fibers that make fruits healthy. When you juice, all you are doing is removing the fiber and leaving the fructose.

I'm curious about the material used to make this cloth.
So if there is no fiber and you just drink the juice during all day, wont it oxidize and become more sugar than anything else?

It looks incredible, but not very practical. Are the bags reuseable or do you have to constantly replace them? I guess if you're looking to spend time and make delicious juice, this is it.
I think the bags are reuseable. At the beginning you can still see some color stains on the bags.
The bags are reusable. I actually work at a juice and smoothie cafe and we use the same machine.
That's great, I can't believe cafes would have this machine. They're putting quality out there

Worm bins (compost) love pulp!!!
I was thinking "this some bomb ass compost" the entire time
I was thinking what shall it be used ? May be organic fertilizer?
Yeah! I'm also curious about what he does with the pulp!
Also, while juicing you ideally treat it the same as meal prepping. Prepare your elixirs on a few days out of the 7 day period so they are already made and ready to invest. Juicing everyday is time consuming but to each their own
i was just wondering; what do you do with the pulp? my first thought was for compost, but i'd be interested to know if you do something else with it!
great video! the juice looks super yummy :)
Sometimes I watch ur channel I discover things that I did not know it existed
Same! It's wonderful to learn many things from this man
It's basically the same method that I use to make apple juice in autumn.
Never seizes to amaze the lengths people go to to avoid eating fiber.
