Great comparison! The kids really brightened up the video, so tell them all what a wonderful job they did! I used to think I wanted a Norwalk like my Granny had (she did the Gerson Therapy and got cured of stage 4 colon cancer and lived another 40 years), but I have used a Greenstar (a poor man's Angel juicer) for the last 20 years or so and absolutely love it, especially for wheat grass and other leafy greens combined with apples, carrots, and celery. Great health to you!
Wow thank you so so much for doing this comparison video. I’m so glad I have the angel juicer . I’ve made comparison videos of the angel and other popular juicers but I haven’t seen it compared with the pure juicer this really helps. I actually like some pulp in the angel juice because that means I’m getting some fibre, and I like the Angel because I can rejuice the pulp and get even more juice. The yield is amazing. Now I can confidently recommend the angel juicer to friends and family
Hi, Meka. The reason their taste test favored the Pure's juice was exactly for your reasoning- there is a subtle amount of pulp in the Angel juice since it was not (high speed) pre-ground and then squeezed through a press bag or cloth. Thus a slight bitterness can be detected in the Angel due to produce's SKINS. However, John Kohler of Discount Juicers and others have pointed up how the SKINS contain equal and sometimes superior nutrient densities to the 'naked' (Pure) juice devoid of any pulp.
The very best juicer is the one you will use the most. Also, the reason Gershon recommends the Pure is because it "grinds" open cell walls of the plant instead of "crushes" like the Angel. There have been a number of tests and apparently the Angel does not release as much of the "cancer fighting" nutrients as the Pure/Norwalk/Champion-Welles press method.
Thanks for this comment. Helpful! I have a pure and I love it. But still I was wondering if I should get an Angel because I would like to implement green juices as well. But in this video I saw that it definetly was possible to also make green juices with the pure and that the pure has half as much rotations (rpm) as the angel. And I just can't get warm with the angel. I tried but my feeling says no. My most favorite juicer to use is the champion. But I don't like the pulpe residue - so I'm now "spoiled" from the Pure Juicer. Once you know the difference, you know it and it's difficult to go back. You would need a convincing reason to do so. 😉 What I find difficult with the Pure Juicer is the neat polished metal look. I can't just leave my gear to dry like the Champion Gear made out of plastic. It would get stains and I wanna treat it well. But it makes the experience of using and cleaning the machine less enjoyable. (I don't have a dishwasher). But what probably also shaped my experience is that I tried to do the Gerson Therapy - well very experimentally and only if even the half amount - because I didn't know how it would ever be possible to completely do it as well as finance it at the time. The work load is unimaginable and so i still pressed my 7 fresh juices a day and I feel like I sort of created an immunity towards juicing with this juicer. Because I was so stressed and it was so much work and my hands were wet all the time from washing. But I also enjoyed the juicing experience of the Pure Juicer and the health benefits and learning and the taste of the juices 😋. So I guess it was time now to vent and share some of my experience after about a year or so. Thx for the space. ❤ I might be able to approach my Pure Juicer from a different angle now and find a good way to use it.
I have my angel 5500 since 10 year and I still love it very much. I bought the european version of the Nama J2 to my mother and the yield is just very poor compared to the angel. But on another side it's easier to use than the angel for some fruits. If we do lot of juice, the better yield will quickly refund the price difference IMO. With carrot etc, I got like maybe 2x times the yield.
Hi, Chad and family. You made a great video. I own an Angel and have had a Norwalk, the predecessor to the Pure. Probably the reason why the Pure makes slightly less quantity and tastes slightly purer is the fact that the Angel grinds the produce between gears and its auger pushes the juice through a sieve screen, while the Pure squeezes the juice through a filter bag or cloth. You said the Angel revolves at 82 rpm and the Pure at 43 rpm. In actuality the CUTTER of the Pure rotates at around 3600 rpm, which is the speed of the speed of the electric motor. Thus for sheer prana, or life force preservation the Angel is better as it NEVER fractionates the pulp by spinning it rapidly through the air even inside a tube as the Pure does during grinding. Having owned both types I agree they are each the top of their lines (slow speed/twin gear and fast grinder/hydraulic press). Whenever I first drink the Angel's juice I always think of drinking 'paint' as the pigments and thickness of the juice are always stunning. The juice press (2-stage Pure) makes juice which has no solids so it is solvent running through the body, and thus a favorite of Gerson therapy proponents for cleansing.
I think I saw one other comparison of the two and even after pressing the angel juice through a cloth basically making it pulp less the amount of juice didn't change much. Angels is just the best with yields and also with destroying plant cell walls.
It depends on what you are juicing. The Angel Juicer is the best for greens and hard vegetables, while hydraulic presses are better for fruit and citrus fruits. 🙂
Is it better than a manual citrus juicer too? Like those ones you pull on the lever that cost about 200$. Is the press really better for fruits than the angel?
@@epg423 if you are mainly juicing citrus fruits, manuel presses are good enough. The Angel Juicer is the best juicer for greens such as celery, leafy vegetables and grasses.
Nice review. One thing missing in the comparison is the review of the whole proces. Although the pure gives fantastic results, the whole process seems cumbersome…. Pressing, collect in a cloth, fold it, dripping, move to the press etc etc seems such a hassle and the biggest reason for me to pass on the pure. Washing the cloth as well takes time. Keep up the good work!
It's the weight of the PURE machine for me, plus all those steps involved to make the juice plus the clean-up. I have the top of the line Angel juicer, so I'm good.
I really feel like the main thing that they skipped on this video is expressing how the pure juicer does not kill the live nutrients that fight cancer that is the whole concept behind the pure juicer. It is not ruining your food before it gets into your stomach it is keeping the nutrients that are actively fighting disease alive until we consume them which is exactly what we need even if we aren't sick.
Nice comparison ALTHOUGH all the influencers today are using the Nama juicer and would have liked to see that in the lineup. Actually, would like to see like 10 juicers lined up for comparison! 😅
This was a pretty cool video y’all. It seems that the yield was higher with the Angel juicer largely due to the pulp factor. More pulp equals a higher yield, which is good for those who like a pulpier juice, but for those of us who don’t, it’s PURE JUICER for the win!
I have an Angel juicer but have never heard of the Pure brand. Thanks for doing a comparison. Another thing worth noting is the counter top space needed between these juicers. From the appearance, I suspect that not many would have the counter top space for the Pure.
I don't have either of these juicers, but when I saw how the children over-stuffed the cloth with the vegetables for the Pure Juicer, it would not have extracted enough of the juice. I would have to say that this demonstration was deceptive.
I don't agree with your verbiage on Deception I just think that that was the way they do it. To each their own right? I just don't feel like it's right that you say that they are deceiving us because they are not they are doing a great job
Kudos to you for this video and wow, what a beautiful family you have. Thank you for being so intentional with your juicing protocol. This video is more a great homeschool project than a proper review. The Angel which takes no skill to operate is being run by an adult, and the PURE which takes some practice is being run by some children. I'm not convinced the yields or cleaning times have been fully optimized. When juicing celery or anything that is over 75% water on the PURE, we strongly recommend using a strainer, see page 35 of the owners manual, "how to juice juicy produce". Celery, the PURE yields 82% juice. 1lb of celery should yield 13oz juice. this should meet or exceed other juicers yields. RPM, The PURE is 3450rpm, this allows for big batch juicing, see below. Cleaning time, in doing testing it is important have all things be equal. We love that you are involving your children. Please redo the test and have your kids clean the Angel and you clean the PURE then average your times. IMO the PURE is easier and faster to clean than any other juicer on the market. FWIW, when I juice test, I cut all my produce in half and divide between the two test juicers, this controls for any batch variation that may be present. One thing not discussed is big batch juicing. The PURE excels here as minimal pre-cutting is required. With the Angels in-feed there is an appropriate 1.5" inner diameter (1.75sq/in), on the PURE the inner 2.25"diameter (4.0sq/in) is more than 2x the area. The larger in-feed and efficient cutter allow for up to 2 gallons per hour of juice. Thank you for reviewing both juicers. David F
You are most welcome. Please do note, the review is really not fully accurate when an adult is doing 1/2 and his beautiful, but possibly 'not your equal children' are doing the other half. I'm glad you had fun and are teaching them so well @PlantNews
Have you noticed the juice color difference? On other channels I have seen especially the color of apple juice is darker from the hydraulic press. It’s been said it’s due to oxidation produced with the high speed cutter.
You make the correct deduction. Any time we cut/shred produce at high speed (Pure juice press/grinders spin at the rpm's of their electric motor which is 3600 rpm I believe- I used to have a Norwalk, the Pure's predecessor), the prana or life force of the produce gets flung into the ether. Using a slow speed juicer like the Angel which NEVER spins above 82 rpm we maintain the integrity of the produce etherically.

Nice comparison video. If the oulp from the Angel is an issue you can always pour your juice through a strainer to remove. Also would like to know if the cleaning of the press cloths was included in the 7 minute time frame? What is the process for cleaning the press cloths? I would think that would be the biggest hassle with using the Pure juicer.
Thankyou. This was very helpful. I wonder: if you would press out the remaining pulpe from the angel juicer - would the remaining juice be noticeably less and then closer to yield of the pure juicer (since the pure leaves no pulp in the juice)? Thx 🎉
I do not believe the Pure would still produce as much juice as the Angel even if you strained the little bit of pulp out. But keep in mind the Pure tastes better. But you would never know unless you tasted them head to head.
My juicer runs much slower and I get so much more juice out of it. When I changed to a slow juicer that was drastically different and so munch better as I was getting more juice. The pulp actually came out completely dry. Even your angel juicer looks like the pulp is still damp.

Angel is harder to use because you have to feed it but give you perfect yields and best cell breakage. Pretty much the best machine for someone trying to cure themselves. Nama has lowe yields but much easier time with fruits and overall much easier operation since you just fill the hopper and let it work. Perfect juicer for everyday juicing.
Fiber is very important. I don't believe people should get most of their veggies in the form of juice. I do think there are a few situations where it is helpful to juice. Fiber is one of the most important things in the diet. I eat a super high fiber diet.
Technique is important using the PURE juicer, you have to fold the press clothe and press more than once…. You aren’t disclosing the technique used with the PURE machine
They did it twice for each batch with the Pure. One time they did a third but the third press looked quite brown so we did not use that juice. It seemed like two times seemed best.
By the same token one can run Angel juice pulp through a second time. That mimics your idea of flipping the pulp cloths of a Pure over. Having owned both a Norwalk (of which the Pure is an enhanced update) and currently owning an Angel, I can tell you running pulp through an Angel twice would match the Pure with 2 pressings. Both make great juices. The demo in this video was fair- one pass through the Angel and one through the PURE. The PURE spins very rapidly (3600 rpm) on the grinding side. The Angel never spins any produce faster than 82rpm. If you had a machine measuring prana or life force you'd see the Angel keeps the produce integral etherically, but that is for future explorations. Be happy if you have either juicer- they are the best. Now that we have vacuum blending available we know that removing the oxygen from a blender before running its cycle keeps the produce in a smoothie from getting aerated and tasting inferior, lasting less time for shelf life. Fast spinning cutters on Norwalks and PURE juice grinder-presses are a compromise to shred the pulp finely and get on with pressing. Either juice is very good for us.
The test results are true- I own an Angel and have earlier owned a Norwalk juice press which works exactly like the newer Pure which has a few subtle enhancements.

Thank you for the video! I use the affiliate link above and could not find $50 discount at the check out page of Angel Juicer website. Is there a discount code? Thank you!
Pure: which blade did you use. Serrated blade?
Angel juicer or Nama j2?
How do you get $50 off? I used the affiliate link to Angel's website and did not see a $50 discount code. Is there a discount code that I need to enter? Thank you for the video!
What's the difference between angel vs nama juicer?
Angel is harder to use because you have to feed it but give you perfect yields and best cell breakage. Pretty much the best machine for someone trying to cure themselves. Nama has lowe yields but much easier time with fruits and overall much easier operation since you just fill the hopper and let it work. Perfect juicer for everyday juicing.
Angel vs Greenstar pro vs Sana 929
Why'd you get both. Is one better for certain uses?
Those children are not mine. Their parents own the Pure. I own the Angel. I bought the Angel used. Personally I would not buy both. Blessings.
What model Agel did you use in this video?
I think it is a 3500. They don’t make it anymore. It is old. But still works great.
I believe juicers get rid of the valuable parts of fruits and vegetables. Fiber is important.
Fiber is very important. I don't believe people should get most of their veggies in the form of juice. I do think there are a few situations where it is helpful to juice. Fiber is one of the most important things in the diet. I eat a super high fiber diet.
Buddy if you think fiber is the most important parts of fruits and vegetables you clearly have no idea what phytonutrients and minerals are......
👍
you need a whole new kitchen just to fit that pure juicer lol... for real.. its huge..
I don't think he is doing honest comparison, twin gear juicer can not possibly beat hydraulic press juicer, period !
The test results are true- I own an Angel and have earlier owned a Norwalk juice press which works exactly like the newer Pure which has a few subtle enhancements.

Thank you very much for the reply, I believe you and will likely get angel juicer if I want to upgrade, I am not happy with my omeg juicer which can only get 48 oz juice from 10 pounds of carrots.
thanks for such a professional comparison. Congratulations for both your daughter's proficiency with the juicers. I would encourage ensuring a #12 grid is used and to use a 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 to simply catch the pulp in addition to the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵. to much of a mess, just make soup instead.
I just bought a Pure juicer, but didn't know about Angel. If I buy a second one, like for a different location, or other people, I think you might've sold me on trying the Angel. 🥬😇🪽
