Building & Riding a Gnarly Backyard Rock Garden

- Berm Peak is missing one thing: Rocks! How I chose a property with no rocks to build mountain bike trails on is beyond me. I didn’t even know dirt with no rocks in it was even a thing. In any case, we’re taking matters into our own hands today, bringing in some rocks, and placing them by hand to build a rock garden! Rock gardens are a mainstay in mountain biking, and we’re really excited to finally have one here on Berm Peak. Enjoy the toil!

I thought we were going to have an Akrigg moment :D ..... bike flying over the tree's in frustration
Seth looked like he was ready to launch his bike down the hill when trying to climb that garden 😂😂
Seeing him on the verge of chucking that bike down the hill was the most relatable thing ever
@@viisI just wanted to scream at Seth to man up and pedal that bike harder! But I have seen his handling skills and balance to know it's not a matter of strength, finding the line, or the like. I think the slope of that hill is deceptive and they kept stalling out. But also, his frustration was definitely palpable.

Get a nice used bike and get out! It’s the greatest thing you’ll ever do

“Decided to save that victory for another day” hands down the greatest growth mindset line I’ve ever heard!
Definition of insanity... trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result! You’ll get the climb another day.
But he’s not trying the same thing, he’s refining his line and more pedal strokes
Seth, great filming and editing. Love the rock garden climbing challenge and the moments of frustration. Very real. Keep the superb content rolling.
Seth is definitely wishing he had that hydraulic John deer bed by now
Mad Seth is the funniest shit I've seen in a while

In one of his old videos he says he likes to show when he falls and gets mad and stuff because it's real and we all do it time to time lol

Here in Nevada everything is rocks, just rocks, so when we find a patch of sand big enough to make something out of it's a good surprise
My dad grew up in Reno. Mountain biked all the time. We live in Tennessee now, humid, flat. We visit the grandparents and cousins every summer, but we didn’t want our grandmother to get sick. She’s got half a lung so she would die if she got COVID, which sucks balls.
8:13 god I know that frustration, and the instant clap back is great.
haha same
Hey Seth, just wanted to say that, especially during these times, you're awesome for continously putting out high quality enjoyable videos and I absolutely love your content
I watched this video directly after a brutal arm workout and I guess this made the experience of watching you hawl those stones way more intense.
I don't even own a bike anymore, but the adventures of Seth and Alex are hands down my favorite UA-cam content.
Well done.
8:17 that tire bounce off the tree needs to be a GIF! lol amazing
I know that poor bike
Braden Terry if you think that hurt the bike... maybe go hit some tougher trails
8:12 remember the old times when Seth would throw his bike
Yeah he got mad at an idea that his friend suggested lol
You are amazing Seth in everything you do I am so grateful to be able to watch you thank you.
I love your video footage! So clear!
I love how Seth always adds a minute or two of just riding and nature after he says bye. It just shows how awesome the video was and how much work went into it.
:D
Lol you always know when the video is about to end when he plays that little jingle.
Its so he gets 10minutes and ads
Thats for midroll ads lmao
I love just waking up to a new Seth video
rock gardens are probably my favorite features. they are easy enough to make it through but hard to get them perfect and carry all of your speed. so fun
Brilliant! Your own bike park in the back garden. Living the dream!
Dear Seth,
Thank you for not throwing me even though you may have wanted to after failing that rock garden!
Sincerely yours,
Mountain Bike
Seth! The quality of these videos drastically increased from amazing to legendary!! I think 7 uploads a month is the right choice!! The angles and shots in this video are INSANE!! Awesome job man!
Thank you!!
I really enjoy watching your videos and they are so entertaining!
Hello from Croatia!

Seth trying to calm down is priceless😂😂😂
Bro I love your content and you’ve inspired me to build all sorts of ramps and berms and skinnys and to buy an actual good bike. Your vids are just so entertaining and I’ve been watching you since 2017. Keep up the great content bro.
Stixy Pix u should make a vid
Love watching your videos Seth, always enjoy seeing what fantastic features you add to Berm Peak 😊👍
Mad Seth and the dog bark had me dieing 😂😂
8:13 initiate angry Seth mode
I am surprised he didn't throw the bike into Narnia
You gotta love the agro Seth moments it shows even the most chill have their moments 😉 keep up the shredding on your biking paradise bud you're epic
Seth (and Alexander), your videos are so good quality that is a pleasure to watch them. I really like them...
That's the kind of grit a BMX sessioner would have. Still has it.
Am I the only one who noticed Seth was back to rocking the POC knee pads?
They are bigger and have more side protection so no wander he want to use it to try a new difficult obstacle.
Probably bc he’s locked at berm peak and it’s basically a home dh park
I always rock those when I ride they're great and don't shift or wander
Heh, rocking
Dexy P I did
Seth a cool looking feature for this rock garden is when the dirt has washed away of the top of the rocks, spray paint the rocks a different colour like a rainbow rocky road or something like that
8:12 had me dying of laughter! Keep up the good work Seth!
Now I understand why you didn't upload a video last Friday. I have to say, this is one of the more entertaining video I ever seen from you; the part when you and Alex were taking the rock uphill, I was crying laughing like watching comedy. LOL! Keep the good content flowing, and shout-out to Alex and Kevin as well.

Seth, just gotta let you know that you and your videos are the reason I got started mountain biking! I saw your passion and love for the sport these past few years knew I wanted to share it. Thanks man, it's been a blast!
Didn't realise how much work went into a rock garden! Amazing work as always Seth! 👍
Seth: goes out and buys rocks.
Most people: renting skid steer to dig rocks out of their property.
Another great video Seth! You have inspired us to create our own MTB channel. Keep up the great work!
Another good addition and it seems to go well with the jump.
I love Seth so much like I’ve been watching these videos for so long and he has given me experience about mountain biking
You should build:
•1 An Oscar drop
•2 Janky wallride 2
Yessssss
There are just a handful of great UA-camrs like you, keep it up!
Hey Seth. Just wanted to say thank you for your videos man. I have been away from biking for about 15 years and just got back into it. I have been browsing at what has been available for the last couple months an there is slim pickings available unless you have thousands to drop on a bike which I dont. And I have been watching a bunch of your videos and they have got me really excited to get back into it. So since I have always been a hardtail guy I went ahead and bought my first new Diamondback in over 30 years. I used to own several Diamondbacks as a teenager and loved those bikes. Then as an adult I just got basic mountain bikes nothing really nice. A bunch of those actually. The only one nice for me mtb I had was Giant 870 with rockshox that got stolen from me 15 years ago and that was the last time I had a bike. Im 51 now and survived 2 heart attacks in a 4 year period. The last one I had was in 2017. I need to seriously get in shape and im not a gym type guy. Tried that didnt work for me. So im back to riding a bike and its whooping my butt just riding around my neighborhood. I sure missed that burn in my body riding a bike lol. Its great that you are such a huge fan of Diamondback and they totally support what you do as well. Just got off of their facebook page and you are all over it. Thats awesome man. Well im all in now and ive already picked out a full squishy Diamondback for my next one later in the year. Once I get used to being back on a bike ill be able to get to some easy trails here in louisiana. Not anything like what you do but hey its a start. And my health should greatly improve doing something I really enjoy. Thanks again dude love your videos. Oh yeah tell them guys over at Diamondback to get some merch back im dying to buy some shirts or something.
there's nothin better than a Texas rock garden!
