  • Today, we'll build Berm Peak's very first teeter totter, and connect the rock garden to the skinny Elm'r Fudd bridge. This mountain bike trail is now packed with back to back features, that you need to be seriously well rounded to clean. It'll be interesting to show others this line!

    Feels pretty cool on the slowest part of the trail to launch up, take a breath, and then shoot back down at speed... still, I think we can make this feature higher octane. Check back next month.

      Yeh it's so true. And sad. People are to soft These days. And I'm saying this as a 17 yo not s boomer. also NZ has awesome playgrounds. They have full on zip lines and one of em had this giant, spinning net tube thing. I wish I had stuff like that when I was younger in the US

    Finally able to see the full video. Haven't had cell service for 5 days. I live in Cedar Rapids,IA and we got hit with a derecho and we have been without power for going on 7 days as of the 16. Love your videos so glad I finally got to watch it. We have been helping neighbors and vice versa the whole time. Can't wait to ride again. Thank you for the videos man.

    Great job! One of the best things I've learned was how to build and install heavy objects by myself doing exactly what you did. The hardest part is learning to skip beast mode from the beginning and spend that 30 seconds thinking of a way to help yourself.
    Loved the music from the Arkansas video (opening music on this video). Come on back, Northwoods and Cedar Glades has grown!

    Seth a year ago: We built a small wooden jump. It's fun!
    Seth now: We built a 4 foot tall sketchy bike see-saw and we built a berm right before it because why the hell not.

      no we built it like that because we dotn know how to build a flowy dh trail and we wanted to ruin ours by bringning you to a complete stop on the fastest section of our dh trail.

    It never ceases to amaze me when he can just hammer a 2x4 into the dirt. Here in Oklahoma the ground is *hard*. You can't even drive a sharpened t-post into the ground that easily.
    I'm super jealous because I've got to dig holes for fenceposts tomorrow.

      Our local river park had a 4 story high "Robot" that was hollow inside and had a huge straight slide from near the top. If it had rained it also had a big puddle at the bottom.

    Absolutely loved this! In the UK we call these rides in the kids playground, a seesaw! In the video of the kids powering the ride with a moped/scooter, we call that a roundabout!
    For future video's, maybe see what the max speed riding up the teeter totter is before jumping off the end? Or, trying to find out if you can spin up a roundabout with an e MTB?
    Love the trail also, but hopefully some will be kept as natural, so the kids watching, can see what it was like for us old boys in the 80's!

    Just binge watched all the berm peak videos. My wife and I recently bought 9.5 acres of property, complete with hills ravines and creek beds. We were already cutting in nature trails for the 5kids and us to walk. I've now got the idea to route a mb trail next to it.

    I love that I9 hub noise. Demo'd a Firebird29 with one back in Feb. Forget angry bees that thing is hornets 😆
    I didn't choose to spec it on my own bike however, ultimately I enjoy the quiet when I ride and I like to be able to hear my tyres on the trail, it tells me a lot.

      Exactly!! ... He should have put another identical teeter totter right along side of it for the second rider in the train.. then if there is a third rider hopefully there will have been enough time for the first teeter totter to return.

      If you made it too heavy then it would take a lot longer to fall when riding it. You'd have a really difficult stall to hold while you waited for it to descend. You might also have to ride further up to the end in order to even get it to fall. It would definitely increase the challenge overall.

    Seth you should build a berm made entirely of stone and mortar to hold it together. I think it would make a cool feature on your amazing trail system. You got me into mountain biking! Thanks so much!

      maybe you shouldnt put people over 2 ft in a baby swing? im just guessing the age but im gonna assume about 10 to 12 around 4'8. if youre that tall you should EXPECT to get stuck
