I love your channel. I love what you do. Very humble, not seeking to get the big wows, a pure lover of watches, sharing his passion with the world definitely top three in my opinion out of the oversaturated watch channels happy new year.
Funny I was at store in the Mall last week wearing a Sapphire Sandwich Speedmaster. A young man approached me at the counter and asked me about the watch. He then showed me his Moonswatch and said he just graduated and got job in accounting and was saving up for the real thing because of the Moonswatch. You guys hit the nail on the head. These collaborations are an entry into our community. Why the hate? It’s brilliant.
Wow, my comment was deleted, so again I will say I love MB&F, I think Max Büsser is a genius. I also agree with your assessment of the complete fiasco that rocked the watch world between Omega and the auction house. Great episode Adam, looking forward to watching your content in 2024. Happy New Year😊 Not sure what caused my comment to be deleted.
I’m having a hard time with the Omega Frankenstein watch. While I’m super glad that no individual collector was hurt by purchasing this watch. It blows my mind that Swatch themselves bought the watch. Just imagine for a moment Porsche buying a fake Porsche for there museum, it’s just mind blowing..that they have no clue about there own watches and could be duped this way to the tune of 4M dollars. All in the hope of making there watches more popular or sought after….thats just desperate stuff.
I’m a lawyer who sues insurance companies, government, and multinational pharmaceutical companies. There is a tendency to think of these large companies and organizations as monoliths. Ultimately, however, many decisions are made by individuals, and many individuals are dumb, corruptible, or both. So it does not surprise me that Omega made this mistake… it may very well have been one person recommending it to another, and a supervisor signing off.
Remember that these are the same Swatch executives who promised the MoonSwatch will be sold online, then like Lucy pulled the football from Charlie Brown, reneged on their promise. Hopefully the Auction House kept the $4 million plus their fees.
Interesting how The Swatch Group is behind two scandals. The Philips Auction where Omega bought their own Frankenstein watch, and when Swatch reneged on selling the MoonSwatch online. I am an Omega collector, but don’t see anybody of their executives being fired for both poor decisions.
There’s bad actors and watches in every sector, even neo-vintage. Always buy from someone you trust and have recourse with. Same applies to cars, art, houses, crypto. You name it.
I agree about the swatch watches. I am sure that some swatch Blancpain owners will go on to own real thing in due time. Much like my VW/Audi Porsche 924 sparked a lifelong love for the Porsche brand that continues until this day..... I could not have started with a 911 but fast forward 25 years and there is a 997 GT3 in the garage. #IAMBLESSED
Thank you for disagreeing with LB on the marvel AP thing, just take Ed Sheeran's perspective on the spiderman AP: "O yeah I'd love the watch if I was Tom Holland, not sure who else its for though...."
@@mentawatches in all seriousness, I love your content and channel. I’m a new collector from Toronto Canada and I really appreciate your work. Keep it up. Thank you. Happy New Year
Did we forget anything in this list? Comment below! PS - did you catch the blooper?
You're asking if I heard the accidently mispronounced Cartier Baignoire?

Love to hear that!!!!!
This might have been my favorite episode of any watch channel. Honest review of 2023. BANGER
Thanks my friend!!!
@@mentawatches please get to 10k already. I need my rollie
This year-end wrap up was SO good. Quietly one of the most knowledgeable and substantial channels. Hope to see more in 24.
That's the plan!
Lovely show, happy new year guys, much appreciated Adam 🙏
Thank you!
Brilliant clock content. Quality sound and skilfully filmed.
Thanks. Guys!! Great content! No hype!
Another brilliantly honest and informative video. Well done gents..

Happy new year!
Excellent video Adam!
You’re the man!
Good stuff, thanks guys!
Hurrah for smaller watches & the revival of UG! Finally, class and sensibility is slowly being recognized & embraced as appropriate.
Yesssiiirrr. Excited for the new UG!
I cannot wait to see Breitling revive this brand. Hope they keep the pricing competitive and make new pieces available to wear by collectors!

Not sure why it was deleted! We love ya Frank!
21:24 oris Kermit looks like an actual watch tho🤣. The marvel watch looks like a happy meal toy
Great content. Keep it up.

Yep. It was really absurd.

What was the name of the first independent watch brand you mentioned?
Rexhep Rexhepi/Akrivia
Just got round to watching this, good to see Jordan is back, love the look of the Baby blue Speedie, sadly I’m a bit to old to pull it off now 👴🏻
Thanks for giving a room to women and acknowledging them 🎉😊
Of course!! Long overdue.
UG is my favourite brand. Saving for a tricompax. Grail is a NIna. Not sure how I feel about the Breitling thing. Let’s see what happens.
I would love to see a video like this with our friend W. Hidalgo ☺️
Never know what’s in store for next year! :)
It's so funny how everyone is happy smaller watches are in. It's like we were all held hostage by dinner plates.
I hope the price of every 40mm crashes, I will be buying!!! Really, are those of us that are getting up there in age buying smaller watches?
😂
This sweetboy makes some of the best watch youtube videos 🥰
Thanks man!
2022 the year of the affordable GMT, 2023 the year of the scandal. haha Great video

Yep. They need some better checks and balances from within.
This is generally why I stick to neo vintage vice vintage as it’s just too much of a minefield to buy vintage.
There’s bad actors and watches in every sector, even neo-vintage. Always buy from someone you trust and have recourse with. Same applies to cars, art, houses, crypto. You name it.
I love the honesty about the stupid AP marvel watches everyone thinks are worth a damn because grey market turds have to hype them
Amen.

Jordan's Jersey Shore tryout😂
Hahaha yes!

Only facts here 😂
This just in: Adam just shaved. 10 seconds later….Adam had to shave again. LOL he’s got a real man’s beard
Hahahaha
It’s going to take more than a few rap stars to convince me to buy 38mm soon. But I do await a flood of “larger” watches hitting the secondary market.
I heard Roman Scharff has a lot of timepiece gentleman’s watches. If that is true, Roman has some explaining to do
Hear say bro
I also heard Tupac is still alive ;)
