Didn't know you had a Sturmanskie. I've been big into Russian/Soviet watches for some time. It's a treasure trove that most watch lovers seem to be oblivious to.😀
I bought my first Bostok/Vostok watches in 1990 whilst travelling through the then USSR. I still have one out of the 6 I purchased. Gave the others away as gifts. Yes the “original” is still ticking away keeping great time. Since then I’ve added another 8 Vostoks. Under the radar & bulletproof!😎💪🏼
Nice collection! I have a Seiko SBDC127 (Blue dial MM200). I also got it through Buyee preowned for a great price. It looks premium but is still toolish. The 6R35 in it also runs +2. This is my current favorite. Happy New Year!
Thanks for sharing. I have a similar collection and attitude towards my collection. This year my main plan is to sell my 1961 speedmaster as I don't often wear it and add a submariner. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and haven't decided if I should go vintage or new.
Nice collection! I agree with your collecting philosophy. I have been going down the UA-cam SOTC rabbit hole. I enjoy seeing what folks are collecting. 😊
Great collection, my pick would be the JLC Reverso, out of my reach but what a beautiful watch, can you remember where you got the gold lettered G-Shock bezel I've searched everywhere.
I got it from Casio importer for my country directly, he's a watch nerd like me, so he gets me parts I want. Up until recently you could order these, but now I think you have to go thru a service center
Great collection for me the stand out watches are the Baltany watch and Laurel Seiko just pure class you have a very fun collection and that is what a watch collection is all about happy new year.
really good collection and video. it’s always easy from the outside, but now you have put some wear on your Sub i would just carry on. I’d focus on your box of 6 at the end.. the Doxa and Reverso as dress watches, the Speedmaster and all three Rolexes are suitable for any occasion, let the rest go and plan towards something else really special.. maybe a gold watch, a Patek or something really different. fwiw as beaters i think there are a couple of Casio models which are different level. looking at one myself.
I really can’t wait to get the speedy. I have a 5 digit sub, bb58, omega AT and tissot PRX but I almost want to get rid of some of them just to have the new speedy. But all my watches mean so much to me so they won’t go anywhere.
I have a small wrist, so I chase straps that are 115 on the long part. Most come from Aliexpress, and the ones on the Reverso, King Seiko, Laurel and Zenith ate custom made to be 110 long part
Marin, thank you for all great videos and reviwes and can't wait for newones in 2024. Whish you all the best and keep it the best as you were until now!
It's a 114270, and the strap is just a generic ebay two piece nylon. I bought it years ago. It comes with metal rings around holes, but I took then out as they corroded 😂.
The Sub is your best watch & good on you for wearing it regularly & not being too afraid to scratch it up. But that said, why not then wear your next best more often too (Reverso, Speedy, Exp & Exp2) Life is too short imho to leave them in the watch box in favour of the Chinese junk. All the best.
Well assembled collection! Is the EL still functioning on your Spike Lee? You never mentioned this in your previous videos! By the way, have a safe happy 2024!
Yes it does, I have yet to see a gshock with a failed EL. I know Casio says it loses the brightness with time but never noticed it on ANY Casio, regardless of how old they are
My King Seiko kind of satisfied my need for a proper "Grammar of Design". I do plan on adding a Spring Drive GS some time in the future, BUT so far, ALL of them are waaay too chunky and thick for what they are supposed to be! My KS is under 10mm, and current GS models are 12,5 to 13,5 which is unacceptable for a dressy watch. I did however discover the SBGY011 which fits perfectly into what I'm after, but we'll see. Maybe 2024 is the year I add one finally 😁
Very nice. I have the SBGP017 (Sea of Clouds) and the SBGA469 Spring Drive. 10.7mm and 12.5mm respectively. Both of which I love and will never part with. The 011 is a beauty, a bit rich for my blood. I use my HAQ SOC as a dress piece without the large cost. I had the SBGH205 Mt Iwate which is a stunner as well but had a good deal come up for a trade +, for a nice Pam 111, so that left.
Your reasoning of why owning a watch is so true in my opinion. Of course any reason is valid because it is up to the owner alone to judge and if people want to buy for investment that is their prerogative. I own it because I love it. Reasons will never be for investment for me.
Agree. If you are buying stuff as investment it must be safely placed somewhere, you can’t enjoy it yourself. Same as money in your bank account. You won’t appreciate it unless you’ll start spending it. Same thing with watches. It’s useless if locked in a safe😃
Your grail box is nice but that KS and that Laurel are just... vintage Seikos are something else man. It pains me to see a country punished via the Plaza accords for being too industrious and innovative. Being a US client state really can be more lethal than even being an enemy sometimes. It makes me wonder how advanced Yugoslavia could have been; what kind of watchmaking could have developed had NATO not been such a violent and aggressive force.
How many watches average person needs? Seriously how many? I think two at most, but many of us including my self have more than we really need. Happy new year everyone. And don’t waste money on things you don’t need in 2024😃😃😃
my question is: do you have a Maserati? if the answer is yes, ok with that watches. But i feel ridiculous have Rolex watches, why? this is for millionaries or people with a lot of money, not for common people
No, I drive a 15 year old Mazda 6 that I bought new, and plan on driving it for at least 5 more years. I hate spending money on things that depreciate 😂
I believe that car is much more reliable than most of the newest cars. Thing is to see the value in the item, not only a value marked in a price tag. Your mazda on the road could be worth much more than rolex sitting in a drawer
Didn't know you had a Sturmanskie. I've been big into Russian/Soviet watches for some time. It's a treasure trove that most watch lovers seem to be oblivious to.😀
Yeah even Vostok is persona non grata right now .. although that probably means it is a great time to pick them up on the cheaper end.

Haha of course

as a rolex guy......i have to say your vintage seiko laurel was the most amazing watch in your collection!! thanks for sharing
Thank you for the great reviews of this year, and wishing you the best for 2024.
Perfect philosophy, perfect collection. Enjoy them all. Take care.

Great video, I enjoyed watching this, and great collection too. 👍

That's it... I'm getting all three of these first watches. :D Especially the Baltany 1921 is just gorgeous.
Fine collection!
When you replace the bracelets on the more expensive watches with straps, do you only take high quality straps or whatever fits?
I have a small wrist, so I chase straps that are 115 on the long part. Most come from Aliexpress, and the ones on the Reverso, King Seiko, Laurel and Zenith ate custom made to be 110 long part
Happy new year i am looking forward to seeing more of you great videos next year I bought a lot of watches this year going to have to cut down in 2024
Good advice at the end. We love the watch for the looks not really the a specification list imo
I'm sure this is a great list. Will have to watch it in full tomorrow. So Happy New Year to you and to all the subscribers !!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Very nice!
All my watches have one thing in common... I wear them on the same wrist! 😂
What strap do you have on your King Seiko 45?
A beautiful & well rounded collection!👏🏼 Great to see another non watch snob!🧐👍🏼😁
Thank you 😁
What a joyful sotc vid! Great to see that and with the right spirit! Love the Laurel! 😍
Thanks 😊
Realy nice video. Congratulations from Brazil
great collection, I want it for myself! Congrats

very cool collection,great parting advice
Thanks 😁👍
Odlična kolekcija. Sve najbolje u Novoj godini!
Hvala također
Its weird that the GW-5000U that you got didn't make the cut for the keepers.
That one is AWESOME, but my DW5000 kind of fills that gap, and due to memories I have with it, it will never leave my collection so the GW went away
Well assembled collection!

60-70s watches are amazing however it is like a big gamble when purchasing one with tons of uncertinties....
My collection has just hit 20 and I’m not sure how to improve it some are worn more than others only a couple are sentimental
Quality over quantity is how you improve imho.
yea, Happy New Year 🍀
GW-6900 is watch that is imposible to find in Europe! Trying to buy one but there is not a single one in stores.
I actually got one bought and sent to me by a fellow youtuber from the US
