I just tried it, I used corn syrup instead, this is my 2nd try, I used homemade glucose syrup 1st. The testing was perfect, my sail is drying now 😀😀, Thank You, Thank You. I made a small batch 150g (1.5cups) G. Sugar 40g (1/3cup) Water 12.5g (40ml)Corn Syrup
@@micadoh7749 Glucose Syrup 2cups Caster Sugar (granulated sugar) 3/4cups Water 1 tsp Cream of Tartar 1. Add all the ingredients to a saucepan & let them simmer as you stir till all the sugar is dissolved. 2. Turn the heat on low & cover the saucepan then let the mixture simmer for five minutes till it thickens. 3. Pour in a jar and let it cool then cover and store in a cool dry place. (Note when it cools it will get very thick and harden but that's how it should be.)
I saw in another video were they let it slightly cool to where it is pliable, shape into a small ball and put on the end of a straw and carefully blow to make a bubble.
Thankyou so much. I'v made this few times. I follow your recipe and it really simple and easy. Also cheap, because isomalt difficult to fine and expensive. Thanks again. Succes for you🤩👍
As my people will say , Sense will not kill you ma. You are too much. Am not even a cake decorator but I enjoy watching cake videos as its my passion hence I found this. Thank you, I love it so much.
Thanks for sharing, pls can I use any other silicone mat irrespective of its thickness, cos I have been trying this for sometime, but it doesn't come off easily from the mat, there by breaking off
Thats perfect An advice when u want to work with glucose wet ur hand with water put water in ur hand after that remove glucose with ur hand it want stick ❤❤❤
It should be the last thing you do before you dispatch the cake and as soon as you feel its dry enough to touch then you can remove the mat. Hope this is helpful. Regards
Hello there... thank you for this post! Pls did you pour the candy on the mat while it’s still hot? Or we have to allow it cool down before transferring to the mat? And again? I heard it melts... is that true? How can it be preserved ?
So clever! You make it look easy. If it breaks when pulling the mat off can you remelt it and use again or do you have to start a new batch? I know you will lose the tie dye effect though

Thank you for the video. I made it watching ur video. But it haa a wet touch. How can i avoid it? Should it be put in the fridge ?
Wet or a little sticky to ur palm, it's normal, remember your palm is warm, and it should be the last thing you make before dispatching your cake
Very nice 👍 thank u for showing

Hello there... thank you for this post!
Pls did you pour the candy on the mat while it’s still hot? Or we have to allow it cool down before transferring to the mat? And again? I heard it melts... is that true? How can it be preserved ?
U have to transfer it in it's hot state, it melts like after 12-24hour depending on how thigh or thin ur crystal is
So I make it some hours before delivery

Love this! is glucose the same as corn syrup? Thanks
No it's not, but it can be used as an alternative
So clever! You make it look easy.
If it breaks when pulling the mat off can you remelt it and use again or do you have to start a new batch? I know you will lose the tie dye effect though
Yes u can, like u said it won't get the tye and dye effect as it could just be brown
Can you put this on a whipped cream cake or butter cream cake
That is so awesome thank you
If I wanted to use sugar thermometer what is the temperature for it so I know when it’s ready? I will try this, thanks for the alternative
I really don't know, I only eyeball it, however you can check that on google to have an idea.
