just replace the 3pdt switch with 4pdt and use TRRS open wire replacement cables... thats a lazy mans headphones switch box. but thanks for the idea man really appreciate his video.
4:35. Wow - haven't seen a guy use his feet as a human vice in a score of videos. Practical - yea; safe - not really. But I really dug your close-ups of the placement of your audio connectors in the box. Q: was that an aluminum box, and did you paint it yourself? You, my friend, are an artist when it comes to wiring/soldering. I was positively hypnotised watching you work. Thanks for sharing this with us. I subscribed right away.
Hi, I am thinking about doing something like this but I have a 4 pole 3.5 mm headset and speakers. Is there a way to just have one port for each and have it wired to have a mic on off switch and an audio headset/speaker/off switch.
the only problem i see, is getting a 4-pole input jack. if you have that, you just split out the stereo signal to one 3-pole (left, right, ground) on/off switch and the mic signal to one 2-pole on/off.
Thank you so much for explaining in detail how the switch works and how it is to be wired, extremely helpful! Also, nice 600 Ohm AKG K240 Monitors :)
Glad it was helpful. The AKGs are getting up there in age, but still reliable ;)
HI. I am started a similar build. I was wondering if you would post where you sourced the parts for this. Thanks.
I ordered everything off of musikding.de .
This is very helpful. Thanks for the idea
And btw, what is the title of the music when you marked the box?
just some royalty free backing track.

Is it true that this completely switches all three conductors so that no ground loop hum issues are possible ?
yes. left/right/ground are switched independedly. there can be no groundloops (provided, the jacks are isoleated from the encolsure).
@@SLARPmusic so the grounds have to be lifted?
